Theresa, carpel tunnel syndrome can stretch all the way up into your neck! Ask me...

I have a pattern for a beanie Alie wants and, apart from not feeling like doing anything special for her right now, my hands and arms are hurting too.

BTW, my 2 days work next week will go to pay for Alie's b'day present - a guitar - which will free up hubby's for him. Hers will be able to be plugged into an amp.

Gekko All...I'm here and glad of it. Thanks for the good wishes...I think they are helping since the time between outbreaks is getting longer...yea!!!!
Suzy, you are so right about CTS going to the neck...Mine was so bad that the spams were causing big headaches for me until I got some injections and pain pills...Theresa...take care...I hope the pain eases but use heat and ice compacts to help until you can get to the doctor, as well as something for the pain if you have it.
June, Its good to keep as much normal stuff going for everyone, during this transitional period...all of you can benefit and I'm glad the chit chat here helps...it does help us to know that. Hang in there...you're doing good lady!
Okay, I'm sending out healing prayers, thoughts, hugs and any thing else that will help from a distance...I don't want all that stuff you guys have..I've got more than i can deal with here.
Oh, Heidi..I need a spot on that wall too when IH hears
the deal...or maybe down the lane a bit might be okay...You go girlfriend...sounds like a win win

situation for both you and Robert...Great!

Take care...I care. Peace.

I did a stir fry with the chicken, then put cheese on it, yummy dinner. Made a salad with lettuce, lemon balm, and mandarin oranges, one of my favorite salads. I have lots of lemon balm growing around my deck, nice to pick dinner fresh like hehehe. The lemony flavor really sets off the oranges.

I had made some beef stew, very plain, just meat, potatoes carrots and a touch of dried onion. Hubby had a fair sized bowl for his dinner. He really liked that one. I cooked it in the pressure cooker, so beef was very tender. Yes, real beef, I do not have stew meat or tips of venison. It is good to see him eat anything, and when he really likes it, even better. He will show me his empty plate and grin like a little boy as he says "look, I ate it all". Gotta love it!

Mama, as always, good to see you tonight. Hope the hives get better. Have you tried taking the Benadryl at bedtime, get a good night's sleep and keep the hives at bay also.

Heidi, that is a good price on the modular and did you say a half acre? Do let us know how the purchase goes, we are interested.

Suzy, so glad you have 2 more days teaching. I hope it gets easier for you the more you teach.

Beanie and Rolanda, good to see both of you, even if you are not here. Rolanda, do let us know how the dermatologist appointment goes, hope there are no spots today. Both of you, come back when you can be here for a few.

I need to go hold down my recliner, but hubby is watching an old Star Trek. I am not interested in seeing that, but it is just noisy enough to grab my attention away from my book. Perhaps I should bring my book back here and prop it on my keyboard to read???

Catch you all again soon, hugs and wishes for whatever you need at the moment. Suzy needs Kleenex, I remember that. hehehe. Mama needs a back scratcher, Rolanda needs a good report, Theresa needs that arm to get better. If I forgot anyone, apologies, I cannot look back a page without loosing this post. So here are "fill in the blank" wish certificates for the rest of you, whatever you need. Hugs to each of you.

Rolanda - dinner for us tonight is Corned Beef cooked in ginger ale - yumm! Haven't made it in so long I had to look up times (but I was right - 30 mins per .5Kg). Serving with vegies and cheesy white sauce. Apple Strudel for dessert - cheating - Aldi have a lovely one. Andrew and Em are here tonight instead of their usual Monday. Col had a Scout meeting on Mon night then we had Maddie's presentation last night. Haven't seen Em since her turn last week although I know she has been OK since - will be nice to see her and reassure myself that all is well.

Hi everyone.
I think we are going out for dinner tonight as it is #1's last day. Yay, no more uni, no more exams, no more assignments to be proof-read. It's only been 6 and a half years since he finished high school.... it's about time he finished Uni.
I have to pick up hubby's car from the mechanic this afternoon. It needed a new fuel pump. That will put the new oven back a few weeks.

I have not read as yet but HI to you all.

Went to the funeral this morning, silly me got the time wrong, sao luckily I got there earlier than I meant because it had already started. I had to park a long way from the funeral home, but that is what I expected. Funerals for young people are usually very large, and this was no exception. When I got there, it was standing room only, and many of us were outside the home listening to the service over the PA, but luckily we could see the screen for the photo presentation.
When our young friend, his gf, got up to speak, that's when I lost it, she was a mess, but the words she spoke were so heartfelt, it was quite heartbreaking.
RIP Nathan, may your soul now be at peace ♥

Hello, Everyone! Just popping in to say Hi and hope all have had/are having a wonderful day!

We were up early to drive (more than an hour) to Chicago for another dress fitting, then home again. After grabbing a quick bite for lunch, we were on the road again to my sis (more than 2 hours) for hair cuts and dinner at a Mexican restaurant, then home again. Trying to get a few things done around here and find something to wear for bridal shower for D this weekend.

I've managed to read a couple of pages, but not taking the time for commenting. Just thinking of all of you and your friends and families. Take care, sleep well, remember that we're all here for each other, no matter what! Sending heaps of positive thoughts, prayers, and {{{{{HUGS}}}}}!

Gekko all,
Hugs Gail, a very hard day when a young one dies.

Cyn, you're like my mum, she wouldn't believe I wasn't leaning to the left and drooling until she had seen me for herself.

Julie, how do you have the energy to do anything around the house after spending all that time in the car? I don't think I would!

Speaking of which I have been very tired this week, and not getting as much done as I would like to. Went to the doc today to get my prescriptions renewed, and he decided he should check up on my cough - I have bronchitis!! No wonder I'm so tired!!

Our Lexus is being picked up this afternoon, we are going to have so much space on the drive we will be spoiled for choice as to where to park.
We will probably start looking in earnest for our 'new' car now.

Dana dropped in for a few minutes tonight to see Dimmi, whose name may have to be changed as he doesn't seem to be growing man bits! I walked past as she was holding him and he jumped off her and onto me and put his paws on my face. Broke her heart! Well, she should visit him more often then! I've arranged for her to babysit him when I am working next week.

Suzy, who did she expect Dimmi to bond with, someone who is there all the time and looks after him/her or a stranger who he/she sees once in a blue moon.
Even though Callie is my dog she bonded with my daughter more than with me.

Morning all. Coffee is brewing and will be ready in a few minutes. A fresh pot is always the best. It is going to be an interesting day. Another teacher asked me to cover for her in after school detention yesterday. As the year is over, she could not trade a day with me. Her planning period is 5th period, which is the class I dread. To pay me back, she is taking my 5th period, giving me extra time to get ready for end of year. I think I came out on the better end. I only had 5 kids after school and they all behaved.

I am confused - how do I take a pill every 8 hours before meals? I'm up at 6 in the morning, but I don't eat at 10 at night... Figure I'll ignore the instructions and just take one before meals whatever time they are.

Brenda, I can't believe they got it wrong again!!! I guess you won't be recommending them to anyone.

Tami, you seem to work it so you get the good end of the stick a lot! Or maybe you just don't complain when it works the other way.

There is an upside to having bronchitis, hubby did the drop off and is doing the pick up from the school disco. With a feels like temp that has risen to 0.5C, I consider that a win..

Tami, the rules here about grading now require that kids be informed 2 weeks in advance of any examination, and at the beginning of the year of what the assessment tasks will be(anything that will count toward their grades). Teachers are also not allowed to start on the next years work. So no way to get anything out of them. Skills development is the way to go, but none except the top class care about that at all! What good will the skills do them in the real world????

Morning all.

Thanks for the info about CTS - I believe now that is what I have. If something I'm doing hurts the arm, and I don't stop doing it, the pain goes into the back of the neck. I always thought CTS only really involved the wrist and lower arm. You guys are so helpful - I learn something new every day.

Off to help D in a little while to clean her bathroom. She still can't bend, so I will clean the lower stuff and she will clean the stuff where she doesn't have to bend. I'm going to say right now that she can clean the toilet!!!!

Suzy, the last time I was on antibiotics the instructions were to take them two hours before or after eating. Sounds simple, but I found them difficult to follow. I tend to eat like 5 or 6 smaller meals throughout the day without any large sit-down meals.

Good luck Heidi, both with the realtor and your ears. It has always been my belief (and now my children's) that ones income or finances are none of anybody else's business. I know D#1 gets quite uppity should any of her friends ask what her salary is, she tells them in no uncertain terms where to stick their nose!

So glad you got doc's office and he is working to get this ear well. Keep us informed how it goes. Good luck with your appointment with Realtor, hope this works out for you.

Suzy and Heidi on antibiotics, hope you both are soon better.

Back to bed for me, I just cannot get awake and going, maybe a little nap will help. Hugs to each of you, with extras.

Back to bed did not work out this morning. Good thing I had been up and dressed. A friend came by to leave a computer for Al to check out. and Al slept through that.

When he did wake up today, he woke in a bearish mood. Not sure what is wrong with him today, but he does need a major attitude adjustment and I told him so, but nicely.

Later friends, sorry to vent on ya this morning, but it helps with my sanity. Hugs again.

D's bathroom is clean - yahoo. She has company coming this afternoon - the mother of a friend of her oldest girl. Their 2 kids have play dates now and then. It's nice to see D meeting people locally. They are just getting to know each other. The other lady just moved here from Vancouver last year and she doesn't know a lot of people yet.

I am pooped, but it's just way too hot to nap!!! D has air conditioning, so it was comfortable while cleaning. I went whole hog - cleaned the baseboards and everything!!!

MizT, grumpy bears are no fun. I used to tell my D: "If you don't stop being so cranky, I'm going to beat you with a wet noodle." That always made her smile, until she became a teenager .....

There's a nice breeze outside, so I think I will grab a final coffee and go find some shade. TTFN.
