I am back. I did my meds pick up at pain management, picked up my antibiotics and ear drops, and met with the realtor. I made an offer, which he thinks will be accepted. The seller has 3 business days to decide on my offer. The place has central air and heat, ceiling fans, stove, refrigerator, freezer, and a washer/dryer set. It also has city water instead of well water, but Robert prefers that. It IS small, but much roomier than his apartment and has a lot more privacy.

MizT, we often get temps like this in mid July and August, but not usually this early in the year. We have been under a humidex advisory all day. I have done nothing and I'm exhausted. Every year the humidity seems to bother me more and more ... sigh.

I was in Canada 4 yrs ago and we had weather up to 40 in June. We went for a ride in the car with the aircon on full.

Thank goodness those temps are not the norm for us in early to mid June.

The sun disappeared and it got very dark. I needed to get a few things at the store. When I left the store I saw chain lightning in the sky and it started to lightly rain. I am home alone, am terrified of storms, and I think we're going to get a doozy. Maybe I should shut down the pooter soon.

My tractor broke down as I was putting hay in the barn. The mechanic says it's serious, and he won't be able to get to it for a couple of weeks.

Heidi, maybe it's time for a new tractor?

Hi Mama, thanks Mama, bye Mama.

Still thundering and lightning, but in the distance. It's raining and gosh darn it, I don't care what the neighbours think, I'm going outside to cool off.

Woohoo Heidi - good news about the house, bad news about the tractor.
Theresa - glad you refused to do the toilet - bad enough to have to do your own, isn't it?
As usual the weather is playing up at opposite ends of the globe, sweltering for the topsiders and cold and miserable for us. It's worse in southern states but it's cold and miserable here which makes it difficult to shake this cough and asthma I've had for weeks. I haven't seen my Mum in 3-4 weeks because I don't want her to get my germs.

Congrats on getting the house and property, Heidi. Sorry to hear your tractor is sick, hope the mechanic can get to it sooner rather than later.

Theresa, if it rained here, I would go outside too! At least to the porch, and in a blowing rain, can get pretty wet out there. It is raining in Alabama, but all the pop up t showers are moving away from me, drats!

HI Mama, good to see you drop in.

Hugs again, and I should be back after flinging food.

If anybody wants a laugh, I added a picture to my page. It's Robert on Miss Kitty when she decided to end the trail ride. She was fine, by the way.

Morning all,
So many things I want to comment on, and they are over 2 pages so I had to open my notepad. Very handy thing this notepad!

Heidi, great news about the offer being accepted! Bad news about the tractor. I'm guessing you'll have to borrow your favourite one back to finish the job. A new one would probably cost as much as the house and land you just bought! It would cost more here. I hope the relief is quick. ♥ I'll have to pop over and check your photo, but not until after I post this. This is the last day of our internet and if it runs out, it's gone until tomorrow - not buying a 4th block of extra data with one day to go!

Theresa, I 'rested' my hand for about 3 years to get to the point where I could do anything without pain and sleep without crying. I still wrote letters, but gave up knitting, crocheting and computer games. It was either that or surgery. I told my D for the 4th day in a row - I can't clean your bathroom if I can't get into it. Won't make any difference though until she decides she wants a clean bathroom. Unfortunately it is also the bathroom any visitors would use. I hope you danced in the rain - bugger the neighbours!

MizT, I hope the bearish mood went away eventually. Not pleasant...

Suzy, I didn't dance, but if I was younger I might have entered a wet T-shirt contest.

IH just got home, and I told him about buying the property. He got a bit upset. He hates me spending my money. I told him that it's an investment. And a done deal.

Bravo, Heidi.

Gotta run - the NHL game between Boston and Vancouver has just started. These playoff games are pretty feisty and can get nasty.

I have the girls before school tomorrow as it is D's first day back at work.

See you all tomorrow. HUGS to everyone.

Hollie... one of my oldest rescues.... fell in the pond today and didn't have the strength to get out. When I found her she was exhausted. She's now laying in the sunroom on a dog bed, covered in blankets (she was shivering and shocky). She can't sit up, much less stand. I don't know if she'll make it. Hollie has been acting really, really old lately, and I've felt that her time is coming up soon, anyways.

Went to sleep while typing a comment last night.
I knew friend was feeling better when I got a phone call saying bring me some decent food. I cannot eat this cr#p!
i made her an omelet with cheese, mushroom and ham. Filled a hot water bottle, put the omelet in a plastic container on top of the hot water, wrapped in a towel and it was still very warm half an hour later.
Ken saw her this morning and said she was not as bright as last night. Depending on how she is tomorrow she could be home for the weekend. Will have to go back next week to have the lungs drained (This time it was from around the heart)

I have been worrying too, hadn't seen any updates but realise that you have other things on your mind June. ((HUGS))
Congratulations on getting the property Heidi, would have loved to have been a fly on the wall when you told IH. Sorry to hear about Hollie's accident I'm sure you will sort her out which ever way it has to be ((HUGS)) That tractor seems to have had more than it's fair share of Problems, must have been made on a Friday.
The Lexus was supposed to be picked up yesterday. The guy came for it, went to get it taxed at the post office, got lost, then found the PO but by that time it had closed, then got lost on the way back here. I had described him to my daughter before she went out in her car. I got a phone call from her asking what sort of car he was driving as she thought he was behind her going out through the next village. She managed to flag him down and bring him back here. Trying again today to pick the car up.
