Hi all. Just stopping in for a minute. Students are still cooperating. Volunteering went well. I have a 3rd son for the summer. My husband's friend has his son for the summer and instead of paying for camp, he is paying us to watch him. Mitchell has him for a couple of hours in the morning and when I get home, we do stuff. Today and tomorrow he is going with us to volunteer, after that, we will take "field trips" in the afternoon. Not sure what yet, but I don't plan on staying home every day of the summer.

I can see a bit of blue sky after a lot of rainy days. Not enough to tempt me to wash all the sheets and towels from my weekend visitors as they are predicting more rain.
Not expecting any problems at the dentist as it is just removing the temp filling and fitting the cap. Should be able to sit back and relax!

We have just received severe thunderstorm warnings but it looks like it will miss where I live. The whole area needs the rain.

I'm back from the field day.... and had a lot of fun. We did some cattle judging: 2 classes of 4 animals each, 4 Hereford heifers and 4 Black Angus bulls. Out of about 40 people, I won. I got bragging rights and a 50 lb bag of cattle mineral.

Congratultions Heidi, but then you keep top breeds.
MizT thoughts going out to you and Al as he has the PET test. I pray it comes back with no spots showing.
I have had enough of dealing with that Bl**dy disease. It is everywhere. This morning I got news of a friend my age who was diognosed with it late last week.

Yes June, it is everywhere...if only the billions spent on weapons was put into research...

Not sure if I mentioned Bill's men's business here. He was having tinkle problems and of course we all know what that could be. It was treated as swollen for a period of time, but then his PSA reading came back very high so it was C. He recently underwent radiotherapy treatment every day for seven weeks plus taking female hormones. After the treatments had finished I am very pleased to say his PSA reading came back as undetectable, so fingers crossed. As he says though, he is 82, had a good run, and doesn't fear the next journey.

Hello everyone.

Hugs to everyone in need of them.
Heidi
#1's girl has gone back to Japan today. They were supposed to leave home at 6:10am to drive to the Gold Coast. I went downstairs at 6am to discover the girl asleep on the spare bed and #1 son asleep in their bed and the suitcase not packed. Talk about panic. They left home half an hour late and arrived with 20 minutes to spare. According to #1 the alarm didn't go off (I think he turned it off and rolled over). Anyway, she's on board and we'll see her in about a months time.

Hubby had to have an ultrasound on his shoulder yesterday. He has torn the tendon again. I can see another op in his future. This one will be covered by workers compensation though.

Greetings, All! Another long and busy day here, including a meeting of our woodturning club. Tomorrow night the education committee meets and Thursday night the planning committee for next year's symposium (3-days of classes for 250 wood turners). Friday and Saturday my high school class is gathering. Too bad we have nothing to do!

Thinking of all of you and sending oodles of positive thoughts, prayers, and {{{{{HUGS}}}}} Take care, Everyone, and get and stay healthy!

Afternoon all,
Very full day so my brain isn't working properly, in fact as soon as I post this I think I might just go and have a nap!

Vicki, hope the op and recovery go smoothly. Bag not packed when she was leaving that early in the morning!! Showing their age! I don't pack a long way ahead of time, but wouldn't leave it to the morning if I was leaving that early!

Heidi, glad you had a good day!

Tami, the only problem I see with your extra that 3 often means one left out. Hope they have a lot of fun together.

Hugs and thoughts to everyone who needs them, . I can't cross anything for anyone as I've already crossed them all for MizT, Al and Heidi, so the hugs and thoughts will have to do for the rest of you

I would have been packed as well but she was supposed to pack last night. She hadn't slept at all the night before and then worked all day yesterday so she just fell asleep. #1 woke her up about 11pm to pack but I guess they just both fell asleep and it didn't happen.

Hubby goes back to the doc on Friday for the results of the ultrasound and probably a referral to the specialist. At least this time if he has an op they will take him back to work sooner. Since it's workers comp at least he will be paid this time.

Woo Hoo! I'm finally caught up (for now, at least)!

June, thinking of you, your friend and your other friend. MIL had the drain put in, so have an idea what that involves. So glad you and your family had a chance to make some memories! Hope the dentist visit went well!

Suzanne, Happy Anniversary to your parents!

Tami, enjoy your "3rd son" this summer - and a chance to make a few extra dollars. I hope this summer is less work but more pay than camp was in previous summers!

Congratulations, Heidi! Of course, we already knew you were a good judge of cattle! I hope all is well with your ear and the antibiotic is clearing things up! I hope your tractor can be repaired without breaking the bank!

MizT, thinking of you and Al and hoping the PET scan goes well!

Vicki, I'm so glad your S and his girl made it to the airport on time for her flight! There must have been some tense moments! Good luck to your hubby, especially if he needs surgery.

Gail, positive thoughts for Bill! We've just been through a similar scare with hubby. His PSA scores had been increasing and sent up red flags this year. He had a biopsy, which came back negative (thank goodness), but he'll be followed up twice a year and is now on a medication that should help reduce inflammation and swelling (and as a bonus, may help grow hair on the top of his head).

It is so nice to have you posting here regularly, Mamacita!

Hugs and good thoughts to all, whether I have mentioned you or not.

Hello all - been away at the hairdresser today - now I look reasonably presentable again.
Vicki - sorry about Kevin's shoulder. Workers Comp will be a help anyway. Glad the girl didn't miss the plane.
Suzy - hope you get to have that nap.
Congrats Heidi.
MizT - Fingers still crossed for Al.
June - sorry about your other friend, not waht you want to hear ever but especially not at the moment. Hugs, as usual, for you and your usual friend.
Gail - glad Bill's treatment seemed to work. My Dad had the same problem just at the start of his Alzheimers.
Suzanne - Happy Anniversary to your parents.
Nice winter day here but getting cooler now.

Good Evening my Friends.
Don't think I can say more than what Cyn and Julie said.
Gail, didn't Bill go thru the same thing a while ago?
Pretty boring, long days where I am working but at least it is money coming in and looks like I will get a good deal on lifting my boat.
Luv and Hugs to you all.

Morning all. I've been awake since about 3:45 AM, ao came here to visit with my friends hiding in the computer.

This is not a good news page.

Suzanne, thoughts go to the Red Hat lady. Hope your dinner out was enjoyable.

Congrats Heidi. When I first read your post I misread the word "mineral" as "manure" and wondered why on earth would Heidi need a bag of cattle manure. I haven't had my first coffee yet you see. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

June, all I can say is oh no. I hate this disease. Gail is right - less money on weapons and more on research.

Also thinking of Bill and Victoria's hubby, and Julie's husband. Julie, that must have been a stressful time for you as you waited for the results.

Coffee is ready. I will be back in a bit. Hugs to all.

Cyn, I am going to try to get mine chopped in the next couple of days.. I did get my nap - my body insisted! Hubby picked me up some more antibiotics on his way home from work because I am not over this yet. I think Alzheimers and C would be a difficult mix...

Gail, I'm so glad Bill is clear of cancer, even temporarily. Some would say is a spring chicken!

Vicki, Not sleeping the night before sort of explains it, still a bit nerve wracking though. I'm guessing she didn't forget the important stuff like her passport or ticket or she would be back with you right now.

Julie, nothing on your schedule, lady of leisure - snort.

Rolanda, Dana's bf is from over your way. He's just back from a trip visiting his parents. I think he was brung up right so they are probably nice people.

More about my day:
When I arrived my sheet describing my day wasn't where it was supposed to be so I headed down to the organiser's office, along with a bunch of other casuals also looking for theirs. He apologised profusely when he gave me the sheet telling me I had a sh1t of a day, his words, and he was right - all 6 periods! Along with 4 classes for the teacher I was subbing for I collected 1 each from 2 other teachers who had called in sick that morning. I was running late this morning because I had decided I really had to get a load of washing done (socks and undies) so missed breakfast. Near the end of 4th period I just about fainted in class!! Luckily I had a rotating literacy assistant in with me. I scoffed some of my bribery lollies (they really work by the way), and made it through to lunch.

Had an interesting chat with year 11 about passing on rumours and stories. I commented that guys don't understand how it affects girls when these stories are told, people treat them differently. One girl vigorously nodded and agreed with me, so something has been spread about her that hurt. That class was supposed to be working independently, most of them chose to chat instead. I didn't have the energy by then to battle with them so I let them. They will have to do the work they missed for homework so they only hurt themselves.

I have just got in trouble on the other page for forgetting to tell you that Dimmie was visiting Dana while I was working. We were terrified the whole time that she would escape as she doesn't have the ideal place for her. Well, not the whole time, but it did cross our minds a few times..

Evening all.. just popping in..

The boy has booked his flight to Melbourne, 1st July
They have a place to live (confirmed this morning).
He has a job for 3 months at least (continuing with his current job, doing it over the internet).
He has been in contact with family friend (in NSW, whose brother lives in Melb) and he will assist the boy with job hunting.

Speaking of friend, my friend's dad, he is on the downhill run :(.
She is in Perth at the moment, heading home to NSW tomorrow (it is her husband the boy spoke to in the above comment).
Hopefully her plane takes off tomorrow ~ Airport shut down due to the Volcanic Ash hanging over our airspace!!

Back from the hospital. Procedure went OK so hopefully she will feel better. For the first time she was worried that she might not go home. We then talked about what arrangements she would like. I think I might need to take a pill tonight!

((hugs)) June and friend.
I've just had the fitters here finishing off my bedroom, well I say finishing off... they could have finished if the correct item had been sent for the drawers. A new top was needed and they sent drawer fronts. I am about to give up ever having it finished. None of the spare bits have been taken away, so I may be able to coble together some storage options in the garage.
