Many thanks for all the birthday greetings here and on my page, it is lovely to have a 2 day international birthday hehehe.

Yesterday was a long tiring day, left me major hurty. Up to hospital for Al's PET scan, almost a 3 hour wait. Then errands, hubby got lost in Wal mart while I picked up groceries, "I thought you had a lot to buy". He found himself a computer game "I have been waiting on this one for 14 years". It is a new game with old characters is best I can describe and it was 14 years in the making, hope it was worth the wait hehehe.

At the bank had to walk in, drive through not working cause the "system was down" after a flicker of lights. Not a terrible thing as things go, but tellers are at the front of a long building, parking is in the back, and it just seemed like a mile jog to get there yesterday. Little frustrations, big achies, not the best day. I have suggested to them they put a teller at one of the empty desks at the back door for handicapped and retired persons.

It was a lovely cloudy, rainy cool day all day , I did enjoy that. I stood outside in the shade at hospital and had my coffee, lovely breeze as a t-storm went nearby. Came home to find we had had a nice soaky rain here too, my grass and trees benefited from that, and I did not have to water flowers, yeah!

Al had a nice recliner for the one hour wait after being injected before being "photographed" , but his half hour in the machine was uncomfortable, he needed pillow under the curvature of his back.

What few groceries I bought are still waiting for me to put away, they can wait a little longer. Perhaps I shall put away 2 or 3 items each time I go through the kitchen today.

That's all from the slow lane here today. I did read the posts, but since they are all back a page now, cannot refresh my memory to comment.

Hugs to each of you, with extras!

Oh I forgot to say:

Remember last year when I told you about my sister's newborn grandson who did not live but a week? Well, sister is now a Grandmother again! Bouncing baby girl, and everyone doing just fine! Almost made it to be born on my birthday hehehe I have a photo of sis holding the cutie, you can just see the love. At the moment grandma and grandpaw live just across the street, but are putting house on the market and moving to the mountains. Good thing Grandpaw has built an in-law suite in his daughter's basement, so they can overnight one night a week and see the grandie. NOPE, not all for the grandie, his business customers are divided between the two locals, but I am certain sis sis will be joining BIL so she can see this extra special grandie!!

MizT, sorry I missed your birthday - I did not get a chance to be on the pooter. We left early in the AM to help with the move, and didn't get home until almost 10:00 PM. I was exhausted, did what I had to do and then went straight to bed.

Suzy, does your hubby take Dana's side in front of her or just when you two are alone? Parents should always be united in front of the kids. Remember sweetie, even though it doesn't seem like it now, things will get better

June, glad your friend is more comfortable.

Off to get some ffuts done - maybe. TTFN.

MizT.... I am delighted for your sister and her family, after the heartbreak a year ago. This is the best thing that could happen.

Tricia, Wonderful news about the baby.I hope you are enjoying your birthday.
Girl mucked up at netball. last day, and she would have liked her mother (still in hospital to be there).
Then picked up Leah (Glenn's daughter) and drove to a special park for a picnic lunch.
Got home to friend on the phone, there were problems about removing the drain so she would not be home. She was very upset so we went to the hospital to find the drain removed. Should be home today. Not sure how long it will take for the fluid to build up again. She has great hope of taking her daughter to the snow this week ( a long standing promise) but it is a five hour drive away. It will be a three day trip if we get there.

Suzy, I know it is hard, but just hang in there. Try not to stress, it may take time, but things will get better.
Think about your days teaching and plan on buying something very special just for you as a special treat. You deserve it!

Ditto everything Tami said to Tricia, June and Suzy - hugs to you all!
Off to be a good wife today and volunteer at Col's Scout Fair. Probably as interesting as watching grass grow, but I know they have a huge number of books for sale so will trawl through them - not that I need more books to read, have a backlog of 6 or so already.

Morning all,
The comments go over the page again so I've opened up my notepad so I don't lose anything - best Windows invention ever, for Sudokuaholics anyway..

Cyn, hubby has actually been more relaxed about boyfriends than I have, but he doesn't understand about influence - even now, and has zero understanding of reputations. Nobody should gossip about anybody else so it's irrelevant. The fact that just because they shouldn't doesn't stop people is beyond him. Referring back to my conversation with the senior girl the other day here... Buy a book or three for me!

MizT, sorry about your long achey day, but very happy about the news of your niece!! Newborns heal many wounds.. we'll forget the fact they turn into teenagers one day for now... I want to go to Mexican with you!! I miss Mexican! We have a restaurant about a half an hour from here, but someone it doesn't taste as good when you have to pay $21 for chicken chimichangas.

Theresa, I hope you are not all achey today too. Does your daughter being back at work mean you have your internet back, or are you still relying on hers? I hope you are back to more comfy online chatting, or will be soon.

June, I'm glad friend will get to come home soon. I suspect there may be many troubled days with girl in the months to come, it is easy to forget she is so young because she is so bright. I hope she gets to make the trip to the snow, though it sounds very tiring. And thank you for having reassuring words ready for me even with everything you have going on at home! You are special!

Just got a call. Friend is leaking big time where they took out the drain but she is still going home today. Just needs to get out of the hospital. If any problems she can just go back to emergency. I think she still intends going out with some girlfriends (mother's group) for an early dinner.

I am doing washing. Someone fell face down in the mud yesterday at the park and I am trying to wash the mud out of her clothes. Still trying to catch up with sheets etc from last weekend as well. Just as well the rain has gone away.
Suzanne, Are you sure you have your parents right anniversary? (Or have you been giving us too much information).

June, I had a filthy dooner come up from Dana's birthday camp and everyone was sure it was a goner. I just put it on the longest cycle in my front loader with a scoop of Napisan fabric stain remover - the one for colours - and it came up good as new! I keep some around to wash school and work shirts with. I can't use bleach on the school shirts because they have a coloured logo on the pocket.

Just a quick pop in to say hello to all.
Sorry you had a hurty day MizT...hope things get better soon.Enjoy your Mexican dinner, it sounds yummy, and neat and clean will always be good.
June, I agree with Suzy..you are special...as I've said before...I have learned from you what Grace under pressure really is. Hope the long awaited trip becomes a reality for Friend, but if not, you will be able to make all understand why it wasn't meant to be.
Suzy, I understand your being upset with hubby for having a go at you instead of taking your word over another...but truth will win out and you will be vindicated in the end...Glad to see the progress being made by Allie and friends in the music world..all of the good things that are going on should be your focus for now, time will let the other things fade away...You do such a great 'proud mom'...I liked the way you told us...!
Peace every one...If today has been good for you...keep it going, If not, wait and soon things will change.

Ah Mama always has the right words for the right time - I agree with everything she said to both June and Suzy.
Just back from the Scout thingy - exhausted! It was actually better than I thought, bought a few things but not many books - room got crowded so I left, intending to go back but didn't. there were so many books there that it was confusing. Plenty of family and friends turned up, including Broni, Maz and Bella - so that was a treat to see them.

Hello everyone!
Hugs to all who need them ... June ((♥♥♥))
Suzy - hang in there.
Son has been away, working, so we're having a late birthday celebration for him - the presents are bought and all wrapped, the house is clean, and we will be going out for Indian dinner (really hope it isn't too spicy). It will be nice to have everyone here again ... sometimes life seems a bit quiet ... a bit dull? Come on someone, give me a grandkid! ;)

Cyn, the scout thingy sounds like fun! I know what you mean about confusing. The local town band had a book sale fund raiser every year and I usually end up buying only one book from a room full for the same reason.

By the way - it was hubby that gave the scary reason. Confronted with it after I'd vented here and calmed down a little he sort of retracted.

Mamacita, there was something I wanted to say to you this morning when I was on that other page and I've completely forgotten what it was!! That combined with wearing my multifocals for the first time in a few days (making me all dizzy) and I feel like I'm losing it!

There are times when I wish I could be a fly on the wall... today hubby and I went shopping, I got a new hair dryer - need it with the super short cut I was given - and a cheapo MP3 player, hubby got a contraption so that we can record TV again.

But that's beside the point. While we were gone Alie decided it would be fun to turn her amp up high and belt out show tunes! I would have loved to have heard that!! She wouldn't do it when we got home.

Morning all.

Our coffee maker bit the dust this morning ... oh no.

I wasn't that sore after helping with the move on Friday, but for some reason my arthritis in the tailbone is acting up this morning. Hurts if I sit too long on a hard chair - I guess I'll just have to become a couch potato.

once there was a magical elf
who lived in a rainbow tree
he lived downstairs from a flatulant dwarf
who was constantly having to pee
one day the elf could take no more
so he went and banged on the rude dwarfs door
and what do you know
they suddenly both
were married!!
