Both within the family and without, our sisters hold up our mirrors: our images of who we are and of who we can dare to become.

Thank you to all my sisters

June, glad you got yourself something today! You certainly deserve it. I hope a new day helps friend cheer up a little.

Cyn, so glad things look encouraging for your mum. If she can't get around she is less likely to hurt herself the way the your dad did. I hope! Hugs..

Tami, great Bopp, can't wait to see the Topp when I turn the page.

Vicki, hope they hurry, do you have any idea where they might have got the info or how they got it. How annoying and inconvenient!!

Brenda, you'll have to explain a wind deflector to me..

Heidi, I'm so glad about Timmy! He might even turn Gil part way human.. And it would be nice to have another dog that you can have for a long time..

Broni, I too was wondering about Poss. Tough trip.

And over the page.

Victoria, I had same thing happen to me couple of years ago!Very expensive air fares being bought. I found it fore bank did, cause I checked my balance online, and all my money was GONE! I found out later it was not my card that was hacked, it was THE BANK, all the business accounts (guess they figured more $$$ in business accounts) had been hacked. A friend did not get paid for a week, till bank straightened it out. Her company banked there. I hope you get your funds returned soonest, took me about 10 days to get mine.

June, so sorry to hear your friend was feeling worse after the test. I do hope the shopping trip helped to cheer her. I know what you mean about being tired pushing a wheel chair for 3 hours, that is hard work. You are such an angel all you are doing, huge but gentle hugs to you and your friend.

Tami, thank you for the coffee, I needed it this morning.

Heidi, happy to hear you are trying to keep Timmy, sounds like he is a good fit for you. Is he gaining any weight yet?

Posting this fore I turn the page. Sending hugs and best wishes to all.

I sure did sleep better last night,k slept all night! That after a 3 hour nap yesterday. Maybe I got caught up??

No rain for us yesterday, but it did rain close by and we got the cool breeze, about sundown. I went out for mail, and did not melt, a big improvement.

The socks and undies did dry overnight inside, They were not really wet, just felt damp from the humidity, now to put them away today.

My coffee is ready, time to get that down and then get going, some stuff needs doing.

Hugs again, got plenty, take what you need.

Yes, Timmy has visibly gained weight since he's been here. He's up to 53 lbs, about 30 lbs under the weight he should be for his size. I'm giving him free choice food so he can eat all he wants.

Suzy, the wind deflector is a screen, made of mesh which attaches behind the front passenger seat of the car, when the roof is down. It covers the rear seats, effectively making the car a two seater, and stops a lot of the wind turbulence inside the car.
Once I get some photos I will put them up on my page.

Heidi, enjoy your ride. Is it any cooler there today?

Brenda, thanks for the description of the wind deflector. I thought it was something that went on windshield, that pushed the wind up higher and not into the car.

Where has everyone been? That was a long pause between Brenda and Heidi.

We have had rain all about us, but none right here. It has kept temps down though of that I am thankful.

Must see what I can fling for food. I do wish AL was eating. Cooking for one is not fun. I shall speak to his doc again about this end of month. I think he is not trying enough.

Hugs to all, with extras.

Morning all,
Brenda, please do post a picture, I can't imagine how that would look? Beyond my experience!

MizT, 10 days seems like a long time when it was the bank that was hacked, not you. I've read a couple of interesting stories about Chase in the last week. The guy who was arrested and spent 4 days in jail - lost his car and his job - when he tried to cash a bank cheque issued by them, and the woman who was declared dead by them and reported to all the credit agencies and is still trying to get everything fixed.. Banks have way too much power!!

MizT, you might be right about Al. Just because it doesn't taste good doesn't mean he can't eat it - for you and for him... If it's hurting, that's a whole different story..

Just stopping in to say goodnight. It was a busy day and I did not sleep well last night. Tomorrow I am going to drop hubby and the 3 boys off at the train station and pick them up a few stops later. Boy I am watching for the summer loves trains. Hubby did it with our boys a few years ago. The train runs parallel to the main highway. It is a local train used mostly by commuters.

{{{hugs}}} Rolanda. A sad day for you.

Tami, good news about your FIL. Continued thoughts and wishes...

I asked Alie yesterday if she had told her singing teacher that the manager from Warner might be coming to her gig. She said, no, he might not show up and then that would be more people disappointed. Thanks to you guys I had just the answer for her 'What will be, will be Alie. He'll either show or he won't, he'll either like you or he won't. But if he does like you I'm going to contact the Guinness Book of Records because that would mean you were 'discovered' the first time you ever played as a group in public. That just doesn't happen!'

Mum's move seemed to go OK. She was a little out of sorts when we first got there but that was probably because they got her out of her comfy chair (belonging to one unit) into a wheelchair for the short ride across and then into another comfy chair (belonging to the new unit). Once she settled and the staff came and talked to her, she seemed fine and let us go without a problem. Phew, what a day though, moving her stuff from one room to another, putting it away tidily and making her new room look like the other one, but prettier. Some of her nice stuff can stay out now, no wandering hands in the new place. Exhausted now!

Cyn, glad to hear that the move went well. It sounds like she is being well taken care of.

Broni, things will work out soon. My FIL used to have a boat. Kept it tied up behind his house, he lived on the water. When he sold the house, the boat went to the new owner. He was glad to be rid of it. He loved to be on the boat, but hated the maintenance.

The massage went well and moved a lot of fluid. My friend felt much better. Tomorrow she has a friend taking her for a different appointment.
We are going to Belinda's to help her put down some carpet. She got some new off cuts that were to be thrown out and thought they would be good in her study. She has an old house and lots of discarded carpet on the floors. She will then want help to put the furniture back.
I thought at our age it should be our family looking after us!!!

Pleased your mother's move went well, Cyn.
Hope everything going well for Forever Archie. It would be lovely to see them achieve their dreams.
Please do not stress Broni. The boat is not worth it. Is Poss still in Sydney?
Heidi, Hope Challenger settles down so you can have lots of carriage rides with him.

Broni, love the sound of 'about to get my life back'. Hope that is the beginning of something good. Hugs to you and Poss...

Julie, thank you for taking the time to visit us after what was obviously a very, very long day.

Cyn, I'm glad things are looking good for your mother. I'm also glad there is the upside of being able to put her nice stuff out.

June, I think I would like Belinda's house! A lot of hard work, but a great environment to live in. I'm not someone who wants a perfectly decorated house. Alie's friends love our house because nothing matches!!

I'm glad friend is feeling better after her massage. It sounds like Laura is having a good time too!

Alie is in the middle of chucking a whammy because Dimmie knocked her guitar over - no damage of course. Phhhhhttt!

Alie should make sure that a. the guitar is securely stored. b. Her bedroom door is shut so the cat cannot get in there. c. If it wasn't in her room put it away properly.
