Suzy, no point looking for a Rental till the house is sold and we have a settlement date.
If we don't get one straight away, Rental that is, then we could always put our stuff in storage, and live in the Caravan, till a Rental is found!

Tami, how many 0airs of pants, and for whom? Glad you had a good shopping day.

Hot and hotter here today. Humidity is way down though, and that feels like 101 (38.5C) is not near as bad as yesterday when it was soooo humid. The house did get uncomfortably hot for a couple of hours, even with both AC running full blast.

Trying to get an appointment with GI doc. Just because I want to see someone other than the doc who did a c9lonoscopy 3 years ago, they are giving me a hard time! I never had an office visit with this doc, only saw him through a fog of sedation, had not chosen him to be my doc. I really thought I had the right to choose who I wanted, but I am " established" with the other one. doc I choose to see is the one who did such a good job of cleaning up the MRSA that was colonizing the feeding tube on AL, one someone else had put in. He was kind, considerate and knowledgeable, we were both pleased with him. Perhaps they will phone back tomorrow. Just need something done for these ongoing tummy problems.

Hugs to each of you, with extras.

A funny for today!

When my daughter-in-law and I caught only one perch on our fishing trip...not enough for even a modest lunch...we decided to feed it to her two cats. She put our catch in their dish and watched as the two pampered pets sniffed at the fish but refused to eat it.
Thinking quickly, my daughter-in-law then picked up the dish, walked over to the electric can opener, ran it for a few seconds, then put the fish back down.
The cats dug right in!

TAMI, good buy on the back to school clothes for teacher! Does FL have a back to school sales tax holiday? Alabama does, and ours is this weekend. Tax free clothing, school supplies and school related electronics, computers, laptops, iPads, etc. Even people without children like me and AL can get this discount, IF we have $$$ to spend.

Rolanda, sorry to hear your news, loosing a friend so suddenly really hurts. Anyone wanting to check out the video, do take out the space in the word s tory.

CynB, My sister is going through much the szmw as you, her MIL is having daily small strokes. She asked to be put on hospice care, and although she does not have dementia, she is going downhill quickly. It is so sad to see.

Theresa, day three is over, hope tomorrow is easier for you.

Thinking of June and family as Friday draws nearer.

Bed time here, I do think I shall sleep tonight. I was sleepy enough to dose off today in my recliner, and then the phone started ringing. I had more calls for me today than I have in a normal week!

Hugs to all and HUGE HUGS to those facing difficulties of any kind. Till tomorrow.

I've lost my supporting membership. When my credit card got hacked I had to reinstate all my direct payments to the new card. I wasn't quick enough with Paypal and have lost my membership until I can get it sorted out. Oh well -it's not like I really used it but I do like to support Gath.

June you are always in my thoughts.
Hope you have a wonderful time meeting Amelia etc on Saturday Broni.
I'm trying to get sorted out to go on holiday on Saturday. It has been too hot to be doing much all week, but today it is raining so should get my butt into gear and get everything done. Typically forecast is not brilliant for our week away. Going to the Peak district, Matlock Bath, in a cottage and taking the whole family, Emily's boyfriend and the two dogs this time!

Afternoon all,
Again, I can't tell you about my day, but I can celebrate that this may be my last day with these particular kids!!

Vicki, bummer about your membership!

Julie, it's nearly time!

MizT, I hope you do get some sleep tonight and that the doctor thing sorts itself out.

Rolanda, I heard that on the radio on my way home from school. So sad.

Theresa, hugs!

Theresa, that is gorgeous!!

I'm trying to pick my daily anecdote. Do I choose the guy who spent the Ag class bragging about how much weed he has? Or the guy who stole chemicals from my box to do demos with? Or the girl who continued to talk on the phone in class after being told multiple times to put her phone away. Or how about having 1st period off, then working non-stop the rest of the day - including my recess and lunch breaks... Or the fact that my feet would feel a lot better if they fell off????

Rolanda, sorry to hear about friend's hubby. Such a tragic way to go.
Theresa, you can, and you will, do this. We are all behind you and it can only get better.
Suzy, I hope you reported the boy who bragged to administration. I don't know what the drug policies are down there, but here he would have been removed and if the weed was found, he would have been arrested.

Tami, he didn't say he had the weed at school, just that he had it. There's not much they can do unless they actually see it. No sales were arranged, in fact I think he's a pot head who thinks he's cool and the kids think he's a bit pathetic.

Broni, I missed the news of the get together! Yay! Have fun!!

I still do not have an appointment with the GI doctor! The did phone back today, saying I could change doctors, but his first available appointment was Sept 20! My stomach hurts now! So again, "leave a message for the nurse, and they will try to work you in earlier, and call you ". AGGGGGGGHHHHHHH!

Scream over, did not make me feel much better.

I would try another group alltogether, but that is only GI group in town, Iand not sure if my insurance would pay for going elsewhere. They just seem to really discourage office visits, and want to just do tests that other docs refer them. Guess they make more money that way???

On a sad note.... one of the owlets passed away last night. Wyatt was the second youngest. The 3 older ones are already swallowing their food whole (the oldest has been swallowing gophers that are almost as big as she is!) and the youngest is very active and robust.

Just picked up my van. Another $300. I found out why my van has needed work. It is a Mazda MPV but it has a Ford motor in it. At least the engine light is off and it does not vibrate any more.

My peacocks have molted all of their train feathers in the last 5 days. I've been picking 'em up and must have close to 300 of them. I have them in a large vase in the living room and it makes a spectacular sight.
