What did the bird say when it flew over the Ford factory? "Cheap, cheap."

Heidi, you just reminded me that my mum used to have one peacock feather and she used it as a bookmark. I hadn't thought of that in decades.

It's a four letter word that inspires a LOT more four letter words.

I like that Theresa. I never thought of it that way. Glad to see you still have a sense of humor. How is it going today??

I hate to admit it, but Heidi was right - yesterday was by far the hardest day! Just teasing Heidi!!! I know the battle is not over by a long shot, but I feel much more able to cope today. I'll take all the good moments I can. You guys are terrific, just encouraging me while I whine about my problems. This is by far one of the hardest things I have done in my life!

Theresa, it may be one of the hardest, but it should be one of the most rewarding.

Think of all the positives Theresa, You have a lot of life to live. Be healthy and fit to be able to enjoy!!!
I do not think the 'pill' did much.
mainly worrying if we have enough food to have with the cuppa afterwards (in the Church hall)

June - my thoughts are with you today also. But, isn't it so typical that you would worry about whether there's enough food for everyone afterwards! Even if you don't, there's not a person there who will blame you. {{{hugs}}}

The doctor rang my sister this morning to tell her he doesn't think Mum will survive the weekend. Just waiting for Karin to get here so we can get up there to say our goodbyes in case it's sooner rather than later.
Broni - I will still be there tomorrow if it's at all possible. I have Amelia's mobile no. and will talk to her later today. I'll meet her one way or another this weekend.

Oh, Cyn, I hope your Mum passes with dignity and in comfort. That's the most anyone can hope for. It's hard on the ones left behind. I wish I could be there to hug you and lend moral support, like I wish I could be there for June now.

Good maEn everyone!
Sorry to hear about CynB's Mum. Love & Hugs to all (With extras for June & CynB & respective families)
Still HOT here, every time I think we can have a full day without a/c, I have to turn it on!! My power bill is going to be HUGE!!
Darrell & I had a nice day today. Went to Layton to the mall, Tai Pan Trading & The Quilted Bear (both are home decor stores, The Quilted Bear has booths with some handcrafted stuff) The Halloween stuff (and SOME Christmas, YIKES) was out and we picked up a couple of Halloween things.

Thanks to every one for your thoughts and hugs re my Mum.
We went to see her this morning and she was surprisingly lucid, although she looked awful. I remember my father being lucid in the few days preceding his passing. He managed to say his farewells and I think that's what Mum was doing today. She looked at Karin and said 'You were always a lovely girl and I love you'. She told me she loved me, but not before telling me I was 'big'. (Thanks Mum, I know!) My sister and BIL got similar words as well. Really it was a nice farewell and if she slips away we will feel that she said goodbye and that we did too. I hope my brother manages to catch her as good tomorrow and that she doesn't pass before he does. He didn't get to Dad in time.
Now I hope that when her time comes, it's peaceful. Love you Mum!
