Good Morning friends. Another wet, grey, cold windy day today. But we did not get as much rain as first forcast, I am happy to say. No flooding, just wet everywhere, and the roads probably a mess.

BIL and cousin coming down today. Roger has a Dr appointment in Birmingham, that is more than half way from his house to mine, so coming on down. He is bringing a case that he has bought for Al's flag, now it will not get all dusty. I am making baked beans with franks for lunch. should taste good on a cold day.

Oh dear, all the comments are back a page, and my memory has holes in it today. Blame it on pain killers, but I am not hurting at the moment, yeah! Perhaps I should go back a page to make my comments.

Hugs to each of you, with extras.

Tami, thanks for the coffee, that first cup of the day is the best.

Suzy, glad that Ali was not upset not getting in. That shows a new degree of maturity, doesn't it?

June, after your busy day, you deserve to retire early. Hope you get a good night's sleep.

Cyn, so happy to hear Katlyn did not have a stroke. I wish for her a speedy and complete recovery.

Heidi, congrats on the new tractor! I hope it performs well, and is most reliable. You deserve a good one after the last. Is today the appointment with your doctor, Heidi? Good luck, I hope it goes well for you.

Kitty girl has been asleep on the computer tower for about 12 hours. It is warm up there, and because the computer is on, it purrrrs to her, so she is a happy kitty. It is a cold, windy and wet day, she would not want outside, might as well catch up on her sleep. silly kitty.

OK, time for my breakfast, and to get today started. Hugs to each of you, once again, with extras.

I was relieved to hear about Kaitlyn, too. While a brain bleed is not good, it's far better than a stroke,

Had an appointment with Pain Management doc this morning. I have to have an MRI to see how badly the damage has progressed. They'll call me in the next couple of days with the date of the MRI. Then I have an appointment on Jan. 2nd to discuss MRI results, and find out what kind of surgery I will need.

Hehe! Heidi, reckon us Queenslanders should still be in bed this morning....cold, wet and miserable day.
Been working the last two days and have impressed the boss and staff just by doing my job. Took cousin Maz to the hospital this morning just waiting on a call to pick her up in a couple of hours.
Have read and thought of you all. Love and Hugs.

Aah the Sunshine state - beautiful one day, perfect the next (not)! Rain and cool weather. I had a sweatshirt on yesterday and I'm wearing a light jumper today. Even the dog had a blanket on his bed last night!

Evening all. Just back from Dylan's recorder concert. His school played at the city's tree/menorah lighting ceremony. They did awesome. A dad took video and is supposed to send it to me. I will see if I can post it.

Harry Morgan had quite a full life. He was in so many great shows and movies. I loved him on M*A*S*H, too. The first episode with Colonel Potter was genius!

Tami, I can't wait to hear the recorder concert! I'll use up some of my allowance for that!! I hope the recording does it justice.

Did you listen to Alie's new song? I was stunned that she chose to sing it in public so soon after she'd written it. It made me want to skip through the clouds and swim with the bees (I think I got that right - she does the 'oh mum' thing when I get it wrong)

Harry Morgan was in Westerns too I think. I haven't seen too many of those but remember being pleasantly surprised when I recognised him.

Broni, that job sounds perfect! No mad panic to get everything done. I am a little astounded at the quality of worker they must have had before if you say it was that easy... maybe you're a little modest? Big hugs to Maz.

I was thinking of Potter. I loved the way he reacted to Klinger. (The previous role he played was a scream, too. (He thought Klinger was his wife.)

Sandy, the puppy, thinks she's a big dog. She screamed until I let her out of the puppy pen, then after 15 minutes of petting, strolled over to a bid dog's bed, climbed in and fell sound asleep. She looks so tiny and so cute. The puppies are now 4 1/2 weeks old.

MASH was awesome. They handled many topics in a great way. I still love watching the show. Harry Morgan was an excellent actor and will be missed. I never liked westerns very much but he was good in Dragnet also.

Sandy is definitely a keeper! Though, when I think about it, she might be a bit demanding and time consuming...

I love MASH too. For years it was my sleeping pill. It was on at 11 at night, I'd put it on was asleep around 11:30. Then they moved it to 11:30 and I didn't get to sleep until midnight! When they moved it to midnight I had to find another way to get to sleep...

Late check-in for me today - had Hayley overnight and took her to and picked her up from her Grade 6 break-up party at the local pool - what an awful cold wet day for it - fortunately some of the pools and the whirlpool are heated - she managed. While she was doing her thing I tried to do more Christmas shopping - getting there, nearly done.

RIP Harry Morgan - another MASH fan here.
Gail - hope you enjoyed Hannah's graduation dinner. So many graduations going on this week - Lachlan graduated from Primary School, High School next year.
Heidi - I want one of those puppies - just not sure Jewel would take too kindly to it. Yes, she would, she'd finally be leader of the pack!!
Broni - pleased you're enjoying your work and looking forward to your brother's visit.
Hello to MizT, June, Tami, Rolanda, Suzy, Suzanne, Brenda and Julie - big hugs all around.

Another busy day. I am organising the entertainment at our Bowling club Christmas lunch next Tuesday. We are doing "My old Man's a Dustman". I have been organising props and then we had a practice! It should be a bit of fun!
Sandy sounds like fun Heidi. Also Heidi I hope next year sorts out some of your medical problems.
Suzy. You have every reason to be proud of Alie. You also Tami with both your boys.
Suzanne, you will wake up tired unless your sleep is restful.

Morning all. Coffee is ready, help yourself.

Suzy, was able to listen to Alie today. She is great. Be prepared, she will go far.

Gail, you should be proud. I am not sure if will handle HS graduation well. I am not doing well with the fact that Mitchell will be 15 next week and is eligible for his learner's permit (driving). Not sure if he is getting it yet.

Evening all,
Another night out here. Alie had an extra Carols through the talent quest. She gets another one on the 23rd too. I enjoyed listening to all of the carols and I hope the residents of the care home did too. She sang 3 songs in pre-carols, 2 she wrote and one by Kate Miller Heiki. A youngish bloke, around 20 I think, was sitting next to me and he said 'she's really good, where does she play?'. I told him only at things like this. Later he sat next to Alie (someone was sitting in his seat - yeah right! I knew where he'd been sitting...) After it was all over Alie and I were heading to the car when we remembered why we both felt like something was missing - her guitar! She went back to get it and he was sprung trying to find out her name.. A groupie!! I think it's funny, she finds it embarrassing.

Cyn, thank goodness for heated pools! I'm glad she had a good time regardless of the weather...

Tami, I picked up Alie early from school today so she'd have time to get ready for the concert tonight. When I got there the Principal was telling her how much he'd enjoyed her song last night (the one you listened to). He compared her to Amy Winehouse and Joni Mitchell I think. I am so glad she didn't get picked for ensemble so she gets a year to do her own thing instead of what everyone else wants her to do...

Suzy, not too familiar with Amy Winehouse's music but I agree with Joni Mitchell. Alie is really good and I would not be surprised to see her on a CD cover some day

Morning friends. I ldept better last night, just up for one pain pill and right back to sleep. Counting the days till Tuesday and the new doc. I do hope he can help.

Tomorrow I am going to my sisters, will spend one night up there. It is an hour and half drive, and trying to fit that in between the morning and afternoon rush hour does not leave a lot of time to visit. I started the more liesurely overnight stays back when Mom was in assisted living near sis, and it worked out well. We will be making cookies and wrapping presents. We started this with Mom one Christmas when she ws not well, and it became an instant tradition, cause Mom had such fun hehehe. Decided to do it again, just cause. Sister has a lot of gifts that must be wrapped, I like wrapping, she had a good place set up for doing it, so I will help her. What gifts I have are almost all wrapped here.

It is not as breezy this morning, so it does not seem as cold. should warm nicely by mid dat today, yeah.

Heidi, so funny about Sandy. seems she already knows how to get what she wants. How about your new tractor? Is it there yet? Working well for you?

Cat on the computer tower again. she came down long enough for breakfast, when I went to the K room to make coffee but back again now. Her own personal heater hehehe.

Must get my day going, hope all is well in your world today. Hugs to each of you, with extras.

Morning. Just like your worst nightmare, I'm back!

Cyn, keeping Kaitlyn in my thoughts. Hugs to you and Andrew as well.

Suzy, Alie's song is terrific and her voice sounds very strong and confident now. You definitely have every right to be a proud mom.

Back from the ear doctor. Everything is fine with the drain in the ear.
I'm gonna relax for a bit, then fire up the new tractor and feed the cows and horses.
