I see I've run over again . . .

I really need to get to bed tonight! Somehow we need to find a way to really get rid of the germs that have been assaulting us for a month. Feel free to share these positive thoughts, healing vibes, and {{{{{{{HUGS}}}}}}} with anyone in need, and keep plenty for yourselves!

Julie - I did better than peek - I led him to the shop, pointed them out, told him that was what I wanted with the cover/light as well, then left him with Emily to buy it. Em thinks it will be a surprise for me on Monday, haha!

Cheers to JD on his birthday and to all absent friends!
Suzy hope everything is ok with Dana and baby.
I've just had to plug my Kindle in to recharge it again. Hope you enjoy your ereader when you get it on your birthday Cyn. The covers with the lights are great, I use mine when Richard wants to sleep and I still want to read, it saves disturbing him with the bedside lamp.

Finally home! That took forever!!

Apparently when they measure mum, they will allow 2cm (equivalent to 2 weeks) growth either way, after than they investigate. If they worried about Dana eating enough they learned better today. She had breakfast before we left, when we realised she would be staying I bought her a turkey, cheese and lettuce sandwich and a yoghurt. I left to pick her up something to read and her glasses. I stopped to pick up some bacon and a few other things from the shops on the way home. When I got home hubby had been working his back side off rearranging furniture for the baby. We made a bacon and egg sandwich and I took that and a litre of orange juice up to her. She got stuck into those while still hooked up to the ECG. Eventually they picked her up and took her off for the ultrasound. We kind of knew the results when we left there, but it was about an hour before they were sent up to the nurses. In that time we discovered some dinner had been delivered for Dana and she ate that too.. Then the doctor was called away to an emergency and it was over an hour until she got back to agree with all of us that Dana could go home.

Morning all. Coffee is ready, help yourself. I am glad that it is Friday. It has been a crazy week. The kids I monitor (they are taking an online class) have to be done with their work by today. They have been crazy trying to finish it all. Should be an interesting day.

We have been to the beach today with Laura. She had a great time. The salt air made me tired.
Have read the posts. HUGS to you all. Comment later if I can get Laura away from the computer.

Happy everybody! IH is gone for the day, and everything here is frozen and white. Hard to believe that 2 days ago I was outside working on building fence in a tee shirt!

Hi all. It is Friday and I am happy. Food has been flung and now I can sit and relax. It is nice to have a 3-day weekend. It is supposed to cool off tomorrow, but not as cold as Heidi. I have not had to use my AC for 2 weeks. I love it.

Gosh - Tami well and truly broke the site today! Over 12 hours since a post!
We're off to Madeline's party this afternoon, they're back from camping. This is a bad time for birthdays for our family, with Andrew and I coming up next week but he and I are having a combined family gathering on Tuesday night, dinner at a pasta restaurant.

Angel is laying next to me, encouraging her 10 week old puppies to nurse. They weigh nearly 20 lbs/ 9.7k now and it looks silly. She has no more milk, but they don't care.

Morning all,
June, I'm glad you and Laura had a good time at the beach.

Tami, what holiday is giving you a 3 day weekend? I hope you have something fun planned.

Cyn, do you ever argue about which restaurant to go to for your shared celebration.

Gekko my friends, slow day on site (more like 4 odd hours Cyn or am I missing something?)!
Wondered if that was the American way of spelling, Zusy?
Don't 10 week old puppies have very sharp teeth Heidi?

VERY sharp teeth! They draw my blood daily, though they don't really mean to.

Greetings, Fellow SA10-ers!

Cyn, what great "hints" you gave as to what you wanted for your birthday! Unfortunately, some men wouldn't even be able to benefit from hints like that! I hope you'll get a lot of enjoyment from it!

I'm interested in what kinds of e-readers are being used by fellow sudokuaholics - and what books you are reading!

Suzy, what a relief to hear that the doctor is all is OK with Dana and the baby! And Alie has become a rocker. Does she have an electric guitar, or was she playing on a borrowed one?

Tami, I hope the kids were able to finish their class and didn't go crazy while in your care!

June, hooray for the beach! So glad Laura enjoyed it - and hope you did too!

Tami, enjoy your 3-day weekend!

Heidi, too bad IH can't be gone a bit longer. Hopefully you won't need to be outside much to take care of animals and can stay inside watching the puppies and birds!

Cyn, I hope Madeline enjoyed her party - and hope you and Andrew enjoy your combined celebration next week at the restaurant!

I haven't seen a response from Tami, so will assume that the extra day off is due to the Martin Luther King remembrance day.

I'm rapidly turning into a pumpkin. Positive thoughts, healing vibes, , prayers, and {{{{{{HUGS}}}}}} for everyone!

Any cello practice this week? It seems like that will be an indicator of how over-committed you were each week..

Cyn had to tell of a doc who did not want to treat her cause she smoked? What is with these doctors these days? I am glad you told her off, hope the she doctor got the message.

Theresa, Rolanda has a 3 week holiday with hubby and the new travel trailer. She left on Christmas Day I believe.

Brenda, tell us about Bruge. I am just not up to googling tonight. How wonderful hubby fif this. Was the trip a surprise??

Happy Birthday JD! What do you have planned, Broni?

Victoria, thanks for giving Suzy the correct information about TIA. Here it would be the Federal communications commision, FCC, but they can and do cause grief, if rules not followed. You are learning your Kindle. I am taking rest of Jan to learn my phone. Joy will help me put in music, Al's music, so I can take that bit of comfort with me.

Heidi, I understand that not every dog of an entire breed is going to have the characteristics one was breeding for. If I can understand that, shouldn't someone with vet training know? OH, Wait, we are talking about Gil. So sad for the dogs and for the sheep and/or goats that were lost.

Suzy, I understand about admissions to hospital to get some needed service with no charge. Here or there, it i a crying shame that one must jump through hoop's to get needed medical care.

I got a Kindle for Christmas. Plus a couple of good books which I have now finished reading. I have spent half of today trying to connect, register and I am now downloading a book (I think). I did buy one by mistake and then cancelled it.(It has hit my account so I guess I have bought it). Must get Laura to bed. She should have gone a while ago but I was fiddling with the kindle.
I also have the cover and the light.

No, all's good. We have you-know-whatted today's mess, and we have already cooked Hannah's dinner and done that thing again. Now it is time for our dinner, Scott is cooking Pepper Steak, with vegies from our garden to accompany. Have a great day/night everyone, date night is calling :)
BTW We have a new stainless steel splashback and rangehood, all installed by himself ♥
Plumber is sorted for Friday to install the gas cook top, so all on schedule for the October family gathering!

A toast to JD, Broni and your good memories. (they are also my initials)
Suzy, Pleased everything is going well with Dana and the baby. How different your household will be.
Lunch out tomorrow. Laura gets to pick the restaurant so guess it has to be "The Lobster Shop". Lots to do in the morning as I have had a mouse in the pantry and he did get into a few packets with bits spilt everwhere.

Cat tail,
Scooter was just getting over loosing her "dad" when I am taken away via ambulance, and she is trapped inside the house for 10 days. People came and left food but not enough love. When I came home, she was starved for affection. Christy and I take turns, holding and loving the kitty and it was still not enough.

Friday morning, she sees us getting ready to leave for my test. I keep telling her that Mommie wil come back, but she escapes out the door, in freezing temps, to hide under the dome. I am thinking the poor dear feels abandoned once again. When I come home, she ses us from across the back paddock, comes running and almost leaps into my arms. "You did come back, you did come back!!" She has been no further than 2 feet away from me since.

I had thought of getting Roger and Ed to come get her soon, so she would not have to be left alone again, but I cannot do that to her again. We had a chat, and she will stay with me as long as she can, till I move.

June - I was just about to close down and I saw it was your birthday. There's so many of us in January - you, me, Susan, Vicki - I think Albany Anne also if I remember correctly.
Julie - I am getting the Sony eReader.
Busy week from today - Big day, fun day today with Maddy's party, Lachlan staying tonight - played cards - I won, swapping tomorrow and Maddy staying tomorrow night, birthday lunch with Karin, L & M on monday, birthday dinner with hubby, Sis and BIL on Mon night, probably Indian or Turkish - then we get to Tues night's double celebration (we just chose Fasta Pasta, Suzy - Andrew is not flush with money at the moment and the kids like it). Still not finished - Hayley and Chloe then stay that night and all Wed with me until their Mum finishes work. Thursday I have to pick Em up from child care, keep her the night and then drop her back on Fri morning ( A & Kait off to buy the ring and celebrate) - then Friday night A has a work function and I will inherit the 3 girls for dinner until about 10-11pm.
Will I survive the week?? Stay tuned. Bet you all got tired just reading it - I did!

MizT... I wish i could have Scooter, but several of the collies here think "cat" is one of the major food groups. Scooter wouldn't enjoy that. She is one of the most wonderful cats I've ever known. And she's VERY good at keeping necks warm. If you do have to be hospitalized (god forbid), see if Roger and Ed will let her stay with them for a trial run.

Roger and Ed are great guys. I've met them. They'll give Scooter a good home. It's just that she dearly loves MizT, and is still traumatized from losing Al. She doesn't need to be relocated too soon.
