OK, this ain't gona be pretty, I am well medicated, tried to do without, but hurting. Nurse said chest wall might be sore from the push ush push kind of breathing/emptying of the pulmonary test. So I am stil hurting, while I float the room. Interesting perspective.

Heidi, thank you for loving my scooter. If I have to go back, might ask that she go to Rogers for a trial. As it was, roger and Ed were sort of sick themselves,

Tami, when I move, she will go to Roger and Ed. She knows them already, loves them, sleeps all over them, and can comb Roger's beard, just like she did Al's.
Heidi, how c old is it up there? Usually I would look it up, not today, too tired.

Back from the stockyard and Wally World. I ended up taking only 5, 'cause we couldn't catch the whole group. They KNEW something was up. At least there was no line this evening.
MizT.... How could I not love Scooter! She's a very special girl.

I probably don't know what dongles are because I have an iMac. There aren't computer parts to hook up together. Everything is included in one piece.

So nice to see eaa once again. Wish she would become a regular again, we neeed her.

JUNE, Happy Birthday, and how cheeky of Laura to choose your venu for the BD diner hehehe, Can you at least find something to eat that you enjoy? Lobster sounds good to me, but not everyone likes it. Restaurant I frequented with my mom made a baked dish of lobster pieces, another seafood I cannot remember name, butter, bread and cheese. SCALLOPS, of course it was scallops.

Cyn, hope you enjoy your kindle. I want one now, but may have passed up my chance of getting one. Daughter was in the mood to buy one, and I said I dd not now if I cold hold, afford books, etc. She is that way, take it when offered, or you are out of luck.

Heidi, I can understand your being relieve at letting the vet put down the animals. You can affrd it, it takess you out of the loop, no chance of being prosecuted for negect. Here, animals tht have attacked livestock and no longer under the protection of the ASPCA. They are neusence animals, and anyoone seeing them should try to put them down. On the farm where we lived, there was the sweetest huge bear f a chow who started running cattle. Al and the caretaker had to put it down. I hated that, old Bear would come vist me every morning, wouls stand on hind legs for his treat. but once they start endangering livestock, they do not go back and no solution but to put them dooown. Bear was shot on the farm, and removed to his home.

June, enjoy your lunch, tight fit or not. I do hope I can find a few things as interesting as you have found, for entertainment. Can't spend a lot on fun and trips, but might have a dolar or 2 to spend.

posting this at end f page 316, so I do not loose it.

Tami, thanks for the good wishes. Hopefully this hurt will be over in a few days. but the illness they say will take weeks to recover. I did good do far today, eating some of the food left over from the week of cooking with Chris. neighbor uphill from me, Saul and Courtney, were going to grocery. She picked up salad fixings for me to go with pasta primivera that Chris made. Mighty good! I actually got to add in a couple of cookies to, sugar was so low.

Suzy, happy to report I know what a dongle is hehehe.

Heidi, I always thought Scooter was special, but more and more people are asking for her, once again. I had her to vet, lady vet whe was working there said if i ever had to get rid of her, please let her know, she wanted her. Said she had never seen a cat just lie there and let us work on her, just cause I told Scooter this was gonna make her feel better. The " work on her" was the draining of half a cup of purulent matter from an abscess. Now that had to hurt, but she just laid there.

About time to change the avatar. I can give up that tree.

My dongle is for wireless. Al had it on his media setup, one monitor, used as TV and as computer monitor. I am getting closer to downloading his usic to my new phone! told ya I was gonna know al about that phone hehehe. I need a memory card to hold the music, and Joy has an extra. MY computer has a card reader that should read any card made. Now to get the files from his puter to mine. I gave away a thumb drive that probably could have moved it, drats.

tomorrow is a busy day for me, I have a RNcoming to check on me, a bathing aide to get hair shampooed and wash and skin care n feet, lega. nephew is coming to install grab rails for shower and checking out the kerosene heater. .Bringing wife and children, hope the boys can ind something to entertain themselves.

Remind me to tell you about the new drama from someone I thought a friend.

Scooter and my discussion the other day was about staying out from under my feet. With the walker, I cannot see her, she will have to learn to stay away. If she stays out from under feet, she can stay with me till the last minute. so far, so good.

Good night everyone, I am going to bed, sweet dreams!!

Well survived another day at work and looks like I will get the other 3 days this week, Woo Hoo! The money will come in handy too.
Loved Tami's response to Cyn's grand daughter being able to get her ereader working "Cyn, it's not that she is smarter than you. She is of the generation that are digital natives and you and I are of the generation that are digital immigrants. She grew up with technology, we didn't."

Greetings to all!

Happy Birthday , June!

Happy Anniversary, Rolanda and Peter!

Happy Birthday, , Cyn!

Heidi, I'm so glad you convinced IH that the vet should deal with the dogs! Good luck capturing the calves for the sale! Is Wally World a discount grocery store - somewhat like a Costco or Sam's Club?

June, 120 sounds like a lot for the lunch! Will people need to eat in shifts?

Cyn, how many books have you read so far?

Another great TOPP, June!

MizT, how fun to be floating about the room (says she who hasn't experienced it and isn't really sure it would be fun, though it sounds like it might be). Scooter sounds like a wonderful and extraordinary cat/companion! I hope she learns to stay out from under your feet and the walker! I hope you soon feel better! In the meantime, gentle {{{{HUGS}}}} coming your way!

Gail, that sounds like a LOT of work to be done in the heat! I hope you were able to relax the rest of the day! Also hoping there are no fires nearby!

Tricia, I hope you have a good day tomorrow - with lots planned! Take care!

{{{{{{{HUGS}}}}}}}, positive thoughts, healing vibes,
and prayers for each of you!

Thanks for the birthday wishes everyone - having a great day so far with more to come, dinner out tonight, so no cooking - although we tried several restaurants before we found one that opened on a Monday night.
Julie - haven't even downloaded a book yet although there are a few already there like 'Around the world in 80 days' - will work out the downloading part in the next few days.
Tricia - hope you feel better and better each day!

Karin taught her kids the words to 'When I'm 64' (which, of course is what I am now) - and they sang it to me this morning. She did take a video but I asked her not to post it on FB - there's people on there who don't need to know my age.

The house burnt to the ground, no one was in it, the owner arrived after the fire brigades turned up. Apparently it was in flames. They are a young family with a 4yo and an 18mo...the township is already organising a donation package, I will get a supermarket voucher tomorrow, and a lot of young families are going through their supplies right now organising nappies and bottles etc :'(

Congratulations to Hannah. I understand that this pacement thing is most important, although it is not something we have in our school system, or did not when I was schooling with my children.

I think I slept a couple of hours straight, let me post this and then do the math. I forgot to write down the time I went to bed. Hugs to each of you.

Looks like almost 3 hours, better and better but not near enough yet.

Julie, floating about the room makes for interesting mind photos and makes for difficult tying hehehe. It does make it easier to do what the nurse people want of me.

CynB, are restaurants traditionally closed Monday in Oz? Joy and I had difficulty finding a restaurant on Christmas Eve. She got Mexican take away, and Mexican Takeout does not out last a hospital stay hehehe

Friend Eddie stopped by earlier in afternoon, He knocked over a bag of gift boxes and left them, then something else small. fore he left, I had to get him to put them back in pace, so the walker could clear. Nothing in my path, please. Seems the first time he took this illness/whatever seriously.

Ahhhh, this is the time I take my prilosec, then I can have coffee when I really get up! Prilosec is working, lets not disturb that. Blood sugar is working, keeping it very low till tested, cause it is erratic now from being bombarded with steroids.

Gail, I so appreciate the Ausie get up and go spirit I see over and ver. Reminds me of UDA back half a century. I remember when a fire would have drawn out the same response, eole giving of thie own clothes and supplies, baby food, spoon. dish, cause they KNEW what a family needed. Now, people who are victims stand with hands out to the government, wanting that gift card to wal mart. and new everything. gov spends millions on items nt needed in the local area. I think it worked better when people could bring over sheets and blankets and a clean track suit, instead of "write a check". Although last April, th people took back some of the power, organized to go and help tornado devastated areas bringing even toys and games to entertain the children who were just standing about in shock. The nephew who is comming to put up my grab bars in bath was one who took his chain saw and his gas and reported to areas where roads were blocked.

Sorry, off my soap box, but seems I have a lot of time for soap box standing now. Ya can always say, sit down now Tricia hehehe,

Way to go Allie! it is good to get music copyrighte, and it is good the group is helping her instead of trying to take away her music.

It seems I have only one avatar, my tree. all others are missing, so tree it is.

Julie, Wallie World is a slang name for Wal Mart. not sure of the size of the one near Heidi, but I think it is a supper wal mart. .

Gail, pleased to hear Hannah got her place on TAFE, I'm sure she will do well. Not so good news about the fire near you, but it is nice that you live in a caring community who are willing to help the family.
MizT, hope you feel better soon, we don't think you stand on your soapbox too often. Standing may be a problem at the moment for you so feel free to sit and tell us how you feel about things.
I'm busy gnihsaw (well the machine is doing the work) and would like to knit between my bits of the krow, unfortunately Callie has other ideas, she is lying across my lap asleep.

Hi everyone!
MizT - glad you are feeling better. ♥♥
Lots of good news around today! Did I already congratuale Hannah? - well done, that girl! :D
Now our D3 has also got into Uni, as a "mature age" student (what??!) She saw the difference in her earnings and some of her friends' and decided that was ridiculous - now she's a Uni student with a lot of her other work counting towards her degree ... she's on her way! Well done to all our smart kids!

Spent today visiting Mum, by public transport - off to the country. It took the whole day and we went by train, bus and foot - a mostly nice day, though she got pretty cranky at the end, but it does help knowing that she will have forgotten in 5 minutes ... plus we've learned another lesson in how to deal with things. Totally exhausted, of course - we got up at 5:30 am and got home at 6:30 pm! (SO tired!

Catch you all next time ... falling asleep here! :D

MizT, when you get up on your soapbox it feels like you're having a chat with us - do it as often as you like, and even more as some of us could do with all the advice we can get.... (blush) It sounds like the rest of your family have a lot in common with you...

Brenda, I think Callie might be telling you that you need a rest. Dogs are pretty clever you know...

Judy, great news about D3! Dana is talking about mature age student stuff when her baby is 3 months old... I was very proud of myself for biting my lip and letting her think she'd be up to that. Who knows, maybe she will be.

Hello - I just survived a scary drive home in torrential rain - glad to be home and safe!
Tricia - it's just the suburban smaller restaurants that aren't open on Monday nights - They'd probaby be pushing for customers so I don't blame them. Where we went (Raby Bay Marina) is full of rich boaties and the restaurants there were all open and trading well.
Ahh, so Wally World is Walmart. I kept thinking that the only Wally World I'd ever heard of was in National Lampoons 'Vacation'!
Gail - good news about Hannah, bad news about the fire and the young couple, hope that they get enough assistance, and not just from the locals.
Judy - I was thinking about my Mum today - my first b/day since she passed away. I feel for you and know what it's like. Just do the best you can for your Mum so that later you'll always know that you tried!
Tricia - I'm not sure that spirit prevails here in Australia, maybe in Gail's community but not everywhere. There have been many stories going around about warehouses still full to the top with public donated goods because our flood victims wanted 'new' replacements. It's left a bitter taste for me. So many people took it upon themselves to use their own time and vehicles to collect from their own communities to help these people - only for them not to appreciate it.
Well, after writing a short book, I'll depart for the evening. Ciao all!

I need to explain this avatar and these smilies . Back in 1984, I was asked if two of my Smooth Collies could be used to illustrate the breed in a new dog book. The book is: "Harper's Illustrated Handbook Of Dogs". I took the two of them (Bandit and Misty, both Champions) into the studio of a top Dog Show photographer in a neighboring state, and he took a whole lot of pictures of both of them. A couple were selected for the book. Apparently, others have gone into the public domain, because these two pictures of Misty showed up when I was searching for Smooth Collie pictures. I also stumbled on some jewelry and a watch with Misty's picture, when looking around eBay.

Hello World.
Today is my date night with the past...not as much fun as some, but a special day for me as I remember what was..
Happy Birthday Sully! It was a wonderful day that you were born and made ready for me when I arrived...together we had a great life and I toast that experience and treasure it forever. Loved you then and continue, forever and a day...but for me the music plays on and thoughts of you help me treasure that more. With glasses raised among friends, I simply say...thanks for life and you!
Peace, Hugs and love to all who share in this toast...thanks.
Happy birthday Cyn
Congratulations Hannah on the placement accomplishment...well done!
Hey Suze...great job staying on the lounge in spite of Dana's request..lol.
Tricia...Several of us sent you a package for Christmas...it has been lost and I'm still trying to trace it down...It was insured, and our money will be refunded, so no real monetary loss, but we are really upset with the postal service...at least I am, and know the others must also be. I am filing for the insurance today, no idea when we'll get a refund, but please keep me posted as to your movements so that when it comes, we can make a decision how we want to see that you get our gift in a form you may choose. Hope this is okay with you ladies....you know who you are.All I can say is I'm so sorry this has happened and will let you know more when I do.
