Hi all, no bubs yet.

June, we got a storm at the same time as you. The red bit on the radar went over us!! Loved the sound of the rain pelting down. Easy to say as we didn't have any flooding.

Viv, great job on the weight loss! I hope it keeps the diabetes away!! You'd have your scan result by now.. hope I find it as I keep reading..

Heidi, big hugs!! I can't imagine IH effectively supervising lambing. I hope he doesn't stuff it up.

June, your club is lucky to have you!

I think Dana still has 12 days to go, Suzy. I hope she enjoys each and every minute.

Zusy, hope Dana is a happier grumbleb*m today.
Viv, Yay Girl! you svelte sweet thing! Hope they find something easily rectified with the results.
Love and Hugs to you all.

Afternoon all,
Dana just had her weekly docs appointment and has lost 1.7kg (3.7 lb). Her doc wants her to see the midwives and an OB. So Dana calls to make an appointment and they offer her 8 days from now. Why bother, that's only 3 days from her due date? After the woman kuffuffles around waffling about why she can't do any other time I yelled out - just make an appointment with the midwives! (We were in the car and that was the first thing Dana asked her for). She will see them on Thursday, they can take care of getting her to see an OB. What a moron!

I'm glad your friend is stable Heidi. Your cell phone comment got me laughing again!

Hi, Everyone! I'm arriving late, so just reading quickly . . .

June, I guess it's a good thing I don't have a Kindle - would never get anything done, not that I get much ffuts done now. (I'm spending between 1 and 2 hours a day practicing cello. The problem is that I didn't give up anything in order to have that time.) So glad to hear that the flannelette/baby rug came clean and looks like new!

Tami, I hope your day went well and tomorrow/back to school is pleasant! Any time it gets too warm for you in the winter, I'd be happy to try to share some of our cold. It hasn't been record-setting, but the dampness chills the whole body.

June, I hope you found the grasshopper! Grasshoppers and crickets can be so aggravating (when they're inside, instead of outside).

MizT, we're glad to see a post from you! It doesn't need to be long and involved, especially when you're dealing with the keyboard that encourages typos! Just pop in and say Hi! We'll get caught up when your computer gets fixed.

Viv, so sorry your pain got you up early and the snoring kept you up. Perhaps I'll read some results on the next page, but for now, keeping my fingers crossed. Congrats on losing the weight! I'd be happy for any suggestions!

Heidi, we should have known the ear tags were taken for his business! You should bill him! Yes, we are shocked that IH could offer to do something that involves work for him but helps someone else! Will he follow through? Certainly hope so! Although "supervise" doesn't actually mean physical labor. In the meantime, positive thoughts and prayers for your friend and, if the end is near, may it be peaceful for all involved! {{HUGS}}

Gail, so glad your BIL's visit has been enjoyable! Well done for Hannah getting off to a great start for her long commute and first day of college! Good for her!

June, I'm not surprised that you found time to donate to the bowls club! Now maybe you can convince Ken to donate some time to the household for cleaning/organizing!

What a great and interesting TOPP, June! Mmmm, chocolate!

Broni, I'm glad you got some time today and will probably work the rest of the week! Good for you!

Yep, Heidi, it's as I suspected. Supervise didn't mean physical labor. Who does he need to call on the cell phone. I doubt that any of the ewes carry one. So the wife is a working partner, if she's home doing the supervising. Still thinking positive thoughts for the husband! So glad he's stable!

I like the picture of the kookaburra! Is it bigger than the rainbow lorikeets?

So good to see Bean again! We're looking forward to tomorrow.

Suzy, hang in there with Dana! Baby will come when it's time. I hope you're not hearing complaints and whining! I hope the midwife appointment is reassuring!

Really must head to bed now! , positive thoughts, healing vibes, prayers and {{{{{{HUGS}}}}}} for all!

B*gger, Hit search instead of spell check and lost my post!
Great news Rolanda. You will be looking forward to Easter. Were you planning on going away in the van?
Heidi, so pleased your friends situation has improved.
Julie,Several weeks ago I said I would make some muslin wraps, which I have done. Then saw the flannelette and decided could also use that to make something for our "sudoku" baby as well.
2 cakes finished and two about to come out of the oven.
I was also going to make some covers for the bowls but they take ages to cut out and sew and I do not want to be up till midnight sewing.
Julie, sounds like you are enjoying your cello lessons. Are you already able to play other instruments?

June, no we were not planning on going away for Easter in the Van.
We were on Skype with the boy the other night, and we asked him what he was doing over Easter... he said not much, I suggested he come, and he said hmmm maybe I could..
My mum will be over the Moon.. she really misses him and loves him to bits.. As does his mother. and father :)
He flies in the Thursday Late Evening, and flies back the Monday Early Evening.

I am so late to let you know how much I appreciate the wishes for my Birthday...thank you Aimee, Canuk Greg, Sue from OK, Shosho, Tony, Broni, Anne from Albany, GrassHopper for writing your wishes on my page and with such lovely decorations... It makes me feel good...I had a very trying birtday, More...

André had to be sent to the hospital by ambulance on that day and remember it was his birthday also ...we were born the same year and the same day!
On Feb.1st he was operated to remove a mass on his large intestine and was sent home with an ostomie four days later...Everyday he was getting worst instead of better and was out of breath...At the emergency after a scan they realized he had many blood cloths on his lung along with cancer...I need your positive vibes to keep both of us strong during this difficult time...and I know that you will...Many thanks!

Broni, thank you for that. When I went to her page the other day I was reading some of the old messages about Andre being sick some years back and then sort of looked through and decided he must have got better. My heart goes out to her.
Did I say I did not want to stay up till midnight sewing?? Instead I read a book till 2am!!!
I could not find the grasshopper/cricket but after I had all the lights on I did not hear him again until just now. I think maybe he is in the bush outside the window of this room.

Morning friends, survived another cold night. It should be warmer this week, tonight's low will be as warm as yesterday's high. No more kerosine heater, good thing, I have used almost all the kerosine. I should look for more, just in case we have another cold snap. Not sure where I might find it, was hard to locate a couple years ago when we bought the last. Now that is a project to keep me busy, eh? Rain is forecast for tonight and rest of the week, we may already have seen all the sunshine we are going to have, bummer.

I have chicken in the crock pot. Wish I had put it into the pressure cooker instead, it would be done and cool and in the fridge already. I really do not enjoy using the crock pot, except to make apple butter. I received 10 pounds of chicken legs and thighs from the food bank. I see chicken pot pie, chicken soup, bbq chicken sandwiches, chicken salad, chicken with gravy over rice and chicken tacos in my future. Was only able to get about 1/3 of the chicken into the crock pot, this afternoon I should bake some. Only problem with the chicken is it comes frozen, one solid piece, and must thaw the lot of it, so then must cook it all quickly.

Time to run up to town, I have an errand and then must pick up milk. I mostly use milk for taking pills, but still, I use a lot of it, lots of pills??

Suzy, I hope you get answers about Dana's weight loss. It is said that the baby will get what it needs, even if at the determent of the Mom, but something is a bit off for her to be loosing. Do let us know what you find out, please, all us cyber aunties worry, you know.

Enough for now, will check in again soon. Joy cannot come down till Wednesday night, busy work and social schedule till then. Hope the "new" monitor will do the trick. But today, not nearly as many typos, I remembered where the A was hehehe.

Hugs to each of you, with extras.

Forgot to say, I started sending valentine's cards to everyone I had addresses for, but then the computer broke. If you got one, you were one of the few I entered. For the rest of you, I thought about you! my access to the card shop and all my addresses are stored on my broken computer. Oh well, I tried!

Hi All'
Great thought and carry through Heidi...thanks to all of you for the thoughts...Happy Valentines wishes for all included.
Broni...thanks for sharing...tough times on birthdays are twice as hard to deal with...I will head over later and try to offer some words of encouragement if nothing else.
Make good use of the gifts we have in front of us, for if we turn our heads...poof...time for action is gone...and can't be recaptured. Peace.

Happy Valentines Day everyone

Suzy, I hope everything is ok with Dana.
I had a friend who weighed less at the end of her pregnancy than at the beginning. They were building a house and she was busy organising sub contractors and choosing everything. Lizzie was a very healthy normal size baby when she arrived.

Rolanda, how lovely to have #2 coming home for Easter. If I could get my two to leave home I'm sure I'd enjoy them coming for a visit as well.

My two are going out to dinner with their cousin and her partner tonight. They realised after they'd booked but she is ok - as she put it - after 7 years together it's not important.

Hubby and I have never "celebrated" Valentines Day - maybe an occasional card or a chocolate if I'm out shoppping - never flowers or dinner.
