Since I couldn't find a quote I like, I figured I would write one of my own.

Hope everyone has a great day.

Julie, music has been a large part of your life! No wonder you wanted to learn the cello...

June, I don't think I should get a Kindle. I'd never get anything done! It's bad enough now.

Broni, hope you had a good dinner with Teresa.

Miracles do happen in the medical world. Megan has had a scan and the results show that the tumours have shrunk. She has to have three more lots of chemo and they will scan again. She has been told that her cancer is so rare that there are not too many past cases to go on, the oncologist has said that they may never completely cure it but that it is managable. I know that isn't the best news but a couple of weeks before xmas we thought she wasn't going to survive to see xmas. She is feeling good too.

Wonderful news Brenda. Lets hope her body kicks in and helps it go away completely.

Success!!! I just found that grasshopper. It was hiding behind an ornamental bottle on a top shelf in the family room. For once it kept chirping when I sneaked down without turning any lights on. It is now outside.

Lovely gift June and all the nicer for being hand made. The speed of delivery goes to show that it must have been our postal service, and maybe your customs which held up the parcel for a week.

Morning friends, we expect a spring day today, tempo of 68*F, a big difference from last week! I have already removed my fleece light jacket, just a long sleeve T inside today. And like spring, T storms forecast for overnight, we do not need more rain.

Hope that Joy can come down tonight. I have pot roast already made, always have to feed her hehehe. I am baking chicken today, the second batch of chicken. third part was still frozen, went back to freezer for later.

Last few days, I have been cleaning out drawers. I have bags of things for garage sale. Even thinning out my possessions, will not have as much storage when I move. My sister and I plan to go to
Birmingham to get paperwork I need to prove who I am, needs to go with my application. I think that is the last hold up on application, be glad to get that process started.

June, how nice the gifts look, I can visualize muslin instead of yellow hehehe.

Brenda, so happy to hear your news about Megan, a much better prognosis. Thanks for sharing the good news.

Tami, love your original quote of the day, and agree 100%

I slept long and good last night, best sleep in ages. Woke at 6:30 tired of the bed, came to my recliner and slept another 2 1/2 hours. My phone's alarm, to remind me of morning meds woke me or no telling how much longer I would have slept.

Enough for today, I have a list of chores to do. A good sleep left me with enough energy to tackle some of them. Till I return, I leave hugs for each of you, with extras.

Brenda, a start is a start! Super news about Megan, a great way to start my day :)

Suzy, give Dana a hug for me, her nerves should be kicking in soon

Mama, you are right, MizT is sounding well, and on top of things. Tricia, you sure did give us a scare ♥

June, as always, you are amazing xoxo

These early mornings are doing my head in! Hannah has a 1hr40min commute (the price we pay for not choosing not to live in suburbia), which means she has to leave before 6.30 to get to her bus/train/bus! She was always a bugger to get up for school, but is managing so far to get herself up and away in time (except Tuesday when I drove her to the bus).

Gail, Hannah is now doing the subject and course she wants to do not the ones she had to do at school . That is a good incentive to get out of bed when she has to. BTW her teeth look amazing without the braces. I didn't know what they were like before but it has probably been worth while.

Thanks Brenda, for the price of a secondhand car they should look good! To be honest, her teeth weren't that bad, but she was self-conscious about them.
...so, what did you think of the pink hair?...

I will have to admit that I'm a bit of a fuddy duddy about hair colours. I have never dyed my hair and never will, even though I am going grey.
Hannah is young and arty and, I guess, likes to be an individual. She is happy with her hair so that makes it ok for her.

Morning all,
Quick drop in before I take Dana to the hospital for her appointment with the midwives. I have a long shopping list too so will be gone most of the day.

I see you all checked June's gift out. Aren't they amazing!! This baby is going to be so comfortable. I must make sure I have a better photo of them to go in her baby book so when she is older she knows how much she was welcomed into this world.

Brenda, great news about Megan!! I am imagining the relief her family must be feeling right now. Big happy hugs to them and you!

Gail, Hannah looks gorgeous! I'm sure she would have with crooked teeth too, but if she was self conscious why not?? Pink hair is very creative and I like it...

I get blond highlights every now and then, at most once a year. With my fuzz ball, it doesn't show when it grows out!

I've run out of time. Catch you all later.

Hi all.
Brenda, good news about Megan. Thanks for keeping us posted.

Suzy, hope all goes well at the midwife. Keep us posted.

Gail, I am not fond of pink hair either but if she is happy, let it be. Both my boys have longish hair. They want it that way. As long as they do good in school and behave(mostly) at home, I don't argue with them. There are bigger battles to fight than hair style or color.

Harley is putting on a show for us. There is a little black bug flying around, kind of like a small fly, and Harley is stalking it. It is so funny to watch him chase it.

Suzy.... Just because the baby was unplanned for, doesn't mean she should be unloved or unwelcome. I think we all want to celebrate her life, and her arrival. I think we all feel like cyber-aunts.

What would you like from Pa. Tami? Will get on it asap.
Right now I'm so full...I had one of my top 10 dinners and boy did I enjoy it. I fixed Shrimp Primavara, salad and garlic toast..now, my tummy is telling me what a great meal it was...lol. I could eat like this every night...such an easy dish yet taste like a million dollar meal. I had planned it for my Valentine Day's dinner but was too lazy to fix it yesterday...so today I appreciated it twice as much.

Mamacita, dinner sounds fabulous. I wish I was there to join you. I would have brought the dessert. The Liberty Bell could be good from Philly, or Hershey Park. The kids had to read about the story of chocolate. They might like that, if you can find it.

If you come to Philly any time soon I'll be happy to fix dinner for you and you won't have to even bring dessert. Deal or no deal? LOL.
Heidi..love your menu too.

Greeting friends. As you can see, I should now have an avatar. That means I am back on MY computer. It was the monitor that was broken, Joy moved in the one from Al's office, and I am good to go again. Last of the spare electronics, though. Oh, there is a printer perhaps, and there was a machine he had set up with Lenox operating system ( just cause he could) but that about does it.

Catch you again tomorrow, just had to try out my computer hehehe. Hugs to each of you.

Very quick drop in, should be on my way to tutoring already.

Another 'dramatic' visit to the hospital today. They are so super cautious and it is freaking Dana out a little. She was back on the monitor, supposedly for 20 minutes but she was stuck there for 40. She had a half a dozen practice contractions and we got to watch the monitor react to them, which was kinda fun. She also had to have an internal (her first) and tomorrow has to have an ultrasound and another ctg (I think that's what it's called).

Tami, what a great quote from the writings of TTT to use as a TOPP!

Brenda, what wonderful news for Megan, her immediate family and her extended family! Prayers for her as she has her additional chemo treatments! "Manageable" is a much better diagnosis than the one considered just a couple of months ago! I'm sure you will feel energized by the good news, so will have no problem getting packed for the weekend!

June, so glad you found the grasshopper! Do you think you - or it - is happier that it is outside?

MizT, it sounds like you must be feeling so much better! That's marvelous news! And you're back to your computer, which will make things so much easier for you! I hope you and Joy enjoyed your dinner, which sounded yummy!

Gail, while I would not choose pink hair, and I am thankful my daughters didn't, it looks very cute on Hannah and is very appropriate for her field of study! It probably looks very inconspicuous compared to some of the other students! Good for her for being motivated enough to get up for her long commute! How late is it when she gets home? Will she have enough time to work on projects at home, or will much of the work be done on location? (When D was here for 2 weeks, many days she needed to be on the train by 7:25 a.m. and didn't get home until 11:25 p.m. That kind of schedule is only for the young!)

Suzy, sounds like you and Dana had another long day. Guess it's just preparation for what's ahead. {{{HUGS}}} to both of you, as you're getting lots of bonding time!

Wow, lots of yummy sounding dinners mentioned! I may need to plan a field trip!

Tami, I'll try to see if I can find some post cards. Right now, I can't think of any place I've seen them lately. I need to take hubby and a friend to the train tomorrow morning at 9, so maybe I'll try a couple of stores before coming home.

(I found out at my cello lesson today that there will be a pianist to accompany at my lesson next week. Perhaps, if we remember, we'll try videotaping. This will be my first time to play with piano, and I'm quite nervous about it. If I totally bomb, it will obviously NOT be posted.)

Thinking of all of you and sending positive thoughts, healing vibes, {{{{{HUGS}}}}}, and prayers.

Tami, is it OK if I just put a collection of cards in an envelope and send them. I often buy cards when we are traveling and generally end up bringing some home. Also Sharon used to collect post cards so as well as ones in albums there are a lot in bags. (I would just select a few from different places. Without really looking I just picked op some covering Germany, Amsterdam, Tallinn (Estonia) London. I know I had some on Rome, possibly China and only two days ago Laura must have found a small bag with some Aussie ones in it as they were in the room where she had been playing.

Brenda, I wouldn't be so sure the problem is on your end. If I mail a letter to my mother it takes 2 weeks or more to get to her. If I mail a parcel it takes 3 days. We put letters and cards in padded envelopes now.

Our last mail carrier lost his contract after hitting a customer over the head with the iron bar he kept handy in his car. The one before that was eventually caught and fired (not prosecuted) after years of stealing cards and parcels - anything that might be worth anything. She made a bundle by the sound of it.

Tami, I had it on my list to send the other one today and forgot. Now I can do the both at the same time.

MizT, you sound so much better today. It is good to see/read you having a good day.

Mamacita, sounds like a wonderful dinner. I would have liked to keep you company for that one too.

Heidi, complete strangers want Dana to bring this baby in to show them once it is born. I hope it is an omen for her/his/its future!!

Nah...she stands out, even in that crowd! Last year was her rainbow year, she had, at various times, blue, green, red, orange and purple hair...I am sure there were more, but they just blended into one Hannah by the end of it! She had an extremely brief time of being almost natural brown over Christmas...she didn't like it, it was too boring!
Yes Tami, I agree, if hair colours and cuts are her form of rebellion and individuality, bring it on I say! She doesn't do drugs, doesn't party much, got reasonable grades and made it through to tertiary school...could have been worse...

Morning all. Coffee is ready, help yourself.

June, that would be wonderful of you to send all those postcards.

Suzy, I have to send the other card also. I need to find a cute Florida one, some kind of beach scene.

Julie, enjoy the cello lesson. Would love to hear you someday. I find postcards at Walgreen's, don't know if the ones up there will have any. Don't go out of your way and make extra stops.

Suzy, you, as well as all who grace these pages would be welcomed at my table any time...just not all at once...LOL.
Heidi, reading your post about your beef being your own stock made me wonder if you also butchered your beef yourself for your use, or had someone do it for you. How wonderful to know first hand what how your meat was handled. What a real treat that must be...Is there a way I could possibly buy a few steaks???? a small pot roast or two??? Would be nice.
Gail, I loved the idea of Hannah's different colored hair...so artsy, yet uniquely her....and as you and Tami have both said, a small price to pay if it doesn't particularly rock your boat. It's who she is...and that's important!!!
Brenda, hope you are all packed now and have a great time...am off to do...whatever...Peace!♥
