Psalm 23
The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.

He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.

He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.

Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.

Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.

Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.

Rolanda, that will give you time to organise things nicely and for those that will travel.
Understand the not sleeping. We are all like that when we have something on our mind.

On the Parents page is a photo of Laura when she cut her hair (and lost her tooth) the day after Sharon passed away. I love the photo as she looks quite a character.

June.... it appears that Laura figured out how to add a bit of levity to a very sad occasion. I bet Sharon smiled in heaven.

Hi everyone. Sorry I have been gone so long but I forgot my password and had to ask The Troublemaker for it.

Rolanda, Bernie and I want to send our sincere condolences on your loss.

Suzy, congrats on being a grandma. It is the best job in the world, even when you are grandma to the beastie boys.

We're having a thunderstorm right now, and according to the radar, it'll be here for a couple of hours. I may pass on tonight's cow check. The cows will be crammed in the shed, and hard to check. Nor do I want to risk the lightning on the way too and from.

Thinking of you, Rolanda.

Hot sticky night, will I have to torn on AC to be able to sleep? I had doors open today, breeze made it OK, but no doors opened overnight. Another weather change on the way, my body feels it.

Many more signs of spring today on my trip to buy auto tags. Weeping willow trees have tiny green leaves. Almost every pasture has green tinged grass, will be full green soon. You can look at trees on skyline and see buds are swelling. Daffodils almost gone. Other shrubs I could not identify from moving car were blooming. It was a sunny warm and windy day, a lovely day for cross country drive. going down, I know I drove for 30 minutes without seeing another occupied vehicle. Saw only one human being, an older lady out looking at her garden spot for this year, it had been recently plowed.

Time for bed, I think evening medicines are working. Hugs to each of you, with extras.

Hi, Everyone!

Rolanda, {{{HUGS}}} +

I'm popping in for just a few minutes tonight. Just a reminder that my time here "tomorrow and tomorrow and tomorrow" (Friday through Sunday topside) will be limited.

Heidi and Tricia had warm weather today. I heard it was 82 in Fort Worth, Texas. We have had snow. At one point this morning the flakes were HUGE! It was like cotton balls falling from the sky. Instead of making a smooth white blanket on the ground, they piled up like cotton balls in a jar. Very interesting. It has stopped for now, but they're predicting more by morning. Just before 1:00 p.m. tomorrow we are supposed to pick up one of the cello teachers who is flying in for the weekend cello festival at my music school. He's coming from California. Won't he be surprised?

Bean, sorry to hear you lost a long post. I was just thinking what fun it would be if one day, we could all be together and all of the lost posts suddenly turned up. What fun it would be to read comments, some of them several years old now, that are unrelated to our current lives.

Sleep well, Everyone! I'm going to try to be good and get to bed before midnight - at least for tonight and the next few nights!

Positive thoughts, prayers, healing vibes, and {{{{{{HUGS}}}}}} galore for all of you!

Awww! - Dana not long ago put up a pic on FB of Natahlia sleeping - so cute! And then while I was looking at that my friend Linda's daughter Tash put up a pic of her Isabella, born this morning - more Awwww's!
Thank you Heidi for pointing out the circle of life - I feel so sad for Rolanda (and Stella, whose Mum is near the end) and then here are these beautiful little babies to ensure that life indeed does go on!

That was a long day. Played two games of bowls and we won both but our wins were not good enough to win a money prize. Lots of fun though. Then out for drinks and nibbles with retired workers of the company Ken worked with for 40 years and I worked for them for 5. Where we met.
When we came home I get into bed , turned on the TV but I was asleep before I even selected a channel! Just woke because I was thirsty.

Rolanda, that sounds like a fun night out. Just what the doctor (Fremantle?) ordered.
MizT, hope it was not too humid for you to sleep. You certainly seem to be getting an early spring. After some very wet weather everyone in Sydney was saying yesterday was probably the first day of summer and the last. It was about 30*c where we were playing bowls outside in the sun.

Slept late, but not well. The back was hurting. I'm now waiting for the methadone to kick in. Then I need to put the hay spears back on the loaner tractor (I had taken them off in preparation for it leaving) and feed hay to the cows. I haven't checked the cows yet to see if there are any new calves.

Finally got off my butt to feed the cows and do a cow check. Just as I finished feeding the hay, and getting the loaner tractor covered in mud, they showed up with my new tractor!!!! I very happily exchanged the dirty tractor for the clean one. I had been planning on hosing it off after this use so that it would be returned clean, but they showed up a day early.

Winter has arrived. It's just above freezing, and with the high winds from the north, it feels much colder. There has also been intermittent sleet. At least we have no calves being born at this minute.

Heidi, our temp has dropped all day, the wind is brisk an it seems colder than stated temp here also. No rain, no severe weather, that went south of us, I am happy to say. You can keep the sleet, have no need for it.

Tried the mew pain meds this morning. I can tell it is stronger, but it still took over an hour for it to "kick in". Made my nose itch, but a tiny dose of benadryl cured that. then kitty and I took a nice nap in the recliner. Ketty enjoyed that.

I have made strogonoff for dinner tonight, and have vegetqbles already cooked in fridge, so dinner will be easy.

Did I tell you I had this book I had been reading, not enjoying and it got worse as I got nearer the end? Just not my kind of book. Well, Wednesday I decided life is too short to read a book that does not make you happy, and I put it in the donate pile. Picked up another of the books passed on to me, and I must really like this one, over 2/3 finished already. " Rhett Butlers People" It sort of parallells "Gone with the Wind" but all from Rhett's eyes, his local, his family. Very interesting well written, I do like it.

OK, off to find a cup of coffee, that just sounds good about now.

Hugs to each of you, with extras. Till later.

Sounds like it's getting cold in Heidi and Tricia's neck of the woods.
Glad you got your tractor finally Heidi.
Good for you Tricia - giving up on the book you didn't like. I used to try to plough through them but now, if I can't get into them, I just try another. Reading my first book on my eReader, finding it easy to read and light to hold.
Rolanda - hope you had a nice evening last night and they didn't lock you in one of those nasty little prison cells at Fremantle.

We've had a lot of rain up here in the last day or so. Very bad flooding and damage north of Brisbane, just annoying here trying to get washing dry etc. Overcast but not raining this morning, which is good because I'm off later to help Andrew move - most of his stuff is going into storage and necessities coming here with he and Emily (who is with her Mum this weekend).
Tomorrow night the influx begins with 4 of us living here instead of the quiet peaceful 2. Col & I will need our holiday! 2 weeks today, we head off.

Hi all. Interesting day at school. I had two goofy incidents and was waiting for the third. Never happened.

First: girl in my 1st class tells me her eye hurts. Told me this 3 times. Wrote a pass and called for a clinic escort. Escort comes and now she refuses to leave. Call mom and mom agrees with me that eye doesn't hurt. She is creating a scene so I ask escort to bring her to another class for "timeout" She does not want to go so escort radios for the school police officer. She leaves the room and I hear talking. On the way out, she slapped a boy on the side of the head. Officer came and took her and the victim. Found out later he arrested her for battery and released her to mom. Boy was ok and listened to his mom to never hit a girl. I was proud of him

Second: Later in day a boy pulls a girls chair as she is about to sit down. She falls and hits her head. She did not want to go to clinic but I told her that I could be charged with negligence if she didn't go (a lie). She is ok and he is in trouble. He admitted to doing it and said she did it to him and wanted to get her back.

That was my day at work.

Good Morning all!

Suzy, now it all begins! You have a whole new normal.

We are going out for lunch to celebrate my brother's birthday (59 today).

Tomorrow is busy, busy, busy. We are moving our church. The old church has been sold and we are moving the furniture etc to our new site. The new building has just been started so we are moving into the meeting room of our offices. It's an enclosed triple garage joined onto the old lounge/dining room so it's quite large. The office was the rectory until it was converted and the new church will be joined to it. It's only been 10+ years in the planning.
