Hi, Everybody!

June, I love your TOPP on page 401! I hope you're feeling better!

Suzy, thinking positive thoughts for Alie as she considers entering a song-writing competition! Good luck!

Cyn, so glad you stopped by and commented! Nope, doesn't sound like a boring life to me; feel free to share!

Broni, sending warm {{{HUGS}}} in your direction!

Mama, I hope any infection is swiftly struck down and you will continue to mend! We miss you! {{{{HUGS}}}}

June, feel free to rant any time! Certainly warranted with that kind of lack of consideration. You're right, though, it's a fine line you must walk. Hopefully L will learn her manners from you!

Gail, I hope Hannah continues to feel well and has no more relapses!

AAARRRRGGGGHH! (MizT, that's for you! Don't you hate it when you lose a post?)

Suzanne, thanks for the update! So glad you arrived safely! Enjoy your sight-seeing!

Theresa, we're glad to see you here, even if it's to hear about the AWFUL weather predicted for you tomorrow!

Oh, Brenda, I'm so sorry to hear about your honeysuckle! What was your neighbor thinking? (Oh, right, she probably WASN'T!) And on top of that, problems with your kitchen waste water pipe. You're due for something better to happen! I hope there aren't many more hail showers to deal with!

Vicki, good luck with the tiling! So, where did they have to CART it from to charge $55? Hooray for some days of paid work for James! (Gosh, that's a long spell without pay!)

MizT, I hadn't heard the weather forecast for northeast. I hope D and her family don't get it as bad as last October. They lost power; house temperature in the 40's (F); luckily had friends with power and were able to "move in" for several days (including 3 children under age 6 and 2 dogs). BTW, the pinto bean cake doesn't sound too exciting. However, I have a friend who raves about her Beet Cake recipe (which I haven't tried yet).

Heidi, isn't karma grand?!

Bean, your 40-year reunion sounds wonderful! I'm so glad you went and enjoyed it!

June, I bet the hot shower after working in the garden in the rain felt terrific!

Tami, I hope Dylan's hand is healing well! (Of course, I know there's no way to know until his doctor appointment.)

Rolanda, busy weekends are good weekends!

Vicki, what a great TOPP! That's 2 days in a row with a TOPP that refers to music.

And now, I must head to bed. Healing vibes, positive thoughts, prayers, and {{{{{HUGS}}}}} for each of you! Take care!

Evening all,
Hubby and I have just spent a lovely day alone. All we did was drive up to Wollongong and have a walk around and a bit of a shop, but it was sooo nice to be just us for a while. I'm the proud owner of a new shirt, 2 new jumpers and a few books. The kids got a little something but weren't as spoiled as me!

June, I'd be venting at hubby for standing up for the rude so and so. You should be able to say how you feel about being treated like cr@p without him undermining you. I bet that shower was lovely and relaxing after a hard day's work.

Tami, good to hear that Dylan is feeling fine.

Theresa, MizT and Heidi, I hope the worst of the weather misses you!! Will be thinking warm thoughts for you all.

Vicki, I hope you are really happy with your renos after all of the cost and inconvenience.

Australia's Got Talent has just started. Alie is watching with me for now. She will last a little while, but before long she won't be able to resist singing herself and will take off to her room. Right now we are waiting for an 'amomynous' surprise. OMG, she's lap dancing a chair and she's 53 and overweight. The worst part is I looked into it last year and this is actually the second audition! They do one to qualify to get on TV... She got through!!!

Hi all. Coffee is brewing and should be ready in a few. Got a message from Michella last night.

"Just came from visiting Mom. She is in good spirits and had a full day." I also asked about the infection. "cultures are negative so far and fever is gone"

I copy Michella's reply to make it easier. Sounds like there is hope.

Suzy, they have to put some 'cr*p acts through just for the 'entertainment' value. I try not to watch these shows , but fail as the rest of the family enjoy them.

Hugs for Mama.

Just sitting here with a coffee looking at the hummingbird site. There is another egg in the nest, which is in a new location since the hawk attacked and killed the previous babies. Mama just got off the nest a few minutes ago - hope the hawk doesn't find this nest.

Can you put something above the nest to help hide it from the hawk? I'd think that baby hummers would be too small a meal for even a sparrow hawk.

Good morning everyone!

I'm happy to hear Mama seems to be improving. Keep up the good work Mama and come back soon.

Brenda, I was watching "60 Minute Makeover" one night recently and they were doing a house in Stevenage. It was probably filmed a few years back.

Suzy, how is Natahlia? We need an update.

Kevin and James started tiling the floor yesterday. I made them give it away at 6pm as they were still cutting tiles and I didn't think the neighbours would appreciate it.

By the time they cleaned up the mess and had showers they were both exhausted. James was in bed before midnight for the first time in months.

They will continue with the tiling today and then stop until next week. We are having a family bbq at our house tomorrow. My brother is visiting and then heading off to Cairns and places further afield. Now he is retired he can come and go to suit himself. It doesn't stop my mother worrying about him being by himself though.

Kevin and I are celebrating our 29th anniversary today.

He suggested we go out tonight but I thought we'd see how we both felt this afternoon. After another day of tiling he might be worn out and I wasn't feeling very well last night and spent a couple of hours sitting up on the sofa. We both might need to go to sleep early tonight.

We can always go out another night. We were supposed to be away this week and that's why he is on holidays. I can't get time off because our salesman has gone to China this week and the boss will join him next week. Someone has to hold down the fort.

Good morning all - changed my avatar to an Anzac Day one for tomorrow.
Col and his Scout Group are marching and attending a service in Redlands (Wellington Point) tomorrow and Lachlan, Madeline and their father, who is a leader will be marching in the main one in Brisbane which is televised. So I have to record that so their proud Poppy can see it when he gets home.

Tami - thanks for the good news about Mama - hope this time she continues to improve and is soon well enough to come home.
Brenda - I'm sure you're right that they put a few ridiculous acts in - otherwise the show wouldn't have the shock value it needs to maintain an audience.

Greetings, Everyone!

Vicki and Kevin, I'd like to join in the celebration. Happy 29th Anniversary to you!

Theresa, I'm sorry for your lack of sleep! (I think the snow would have come even if you didn't wait up for it.) I hope you had a nana nap or two today! I hope the worst of the weather stayed away from you!

Woo Hoo, Suzy! A day for you and hubby, and even a few purchases! Sounds great! How are your girls and Natahlia?

Tami, I gasped when I started reading your post, then realized you were relaying information from Michella about Mama. The message ended up being a relief on several counts. Go, Mama, keep the infection away and continue with your recovery! We miss you!

(Tami, give Bobbie a big hug from us the next time you see her. Some of us thought for a moment that something had happened to her.)

Broni, I hope things have improved for you! {{{HUGS}}}

Vicki, good for Kevin and James and the tiling! I hope they got more done before the visit from your brother. Don't get too frustrated if thing take longer than you expected. It's hard to dive into a home project for someone who has worked all week. Enjoy your anniversary!

Rolanda, I was feeling old already, then you reminded us how many "young whippersnappers" there are who will celebrate 30th anniversaries NEXT year. I know the saying, and unfortunately tonight I'm feeling older than the lot of you.

I better head to bed. It's past midnight, and I need to be in the dentist's chair by 9 a.m. Positive thoughts, healing vibes, prayers, {{{{{HUGS}}}}} and to ALL fellow Sudokuaholics! Good Night!

Hi folks.
Was wondering why my hips felt like I'd been on a rack, hobbled 100 miles.. then I saw the weather report and understood all! My pain in my hips is always worse when it is snowing in the hills. Rain & drizzle all day.

Happy Anniversary to Vicki and Kevin. Enjoy your celebration whenever you choose to do so.
I was bowling and umpiring today and then we got a storm with torrential rain. I had put our sheets in the sloshy machine before I left and hubby put them on the line. When I got home they were very wet and one sheet had partly blown into the mud! Some things soaking and others spun and in the sun room. i will have to get out the spare sheets to make the bed!

We had an intruder yesterday. Luckily the gate to the back part of the yard was open and he wasn't held up opening it or we would have had blood on our hands.. Lachie went out after him with the dogs on his heels.. they look and sound ferocious and this uninvited body had VERY good reason to be looking like he was $hitting himself.. Hope he spreads the word and they avoid our place in future...

Happy anniversary Vicki and Kevin, hope you managed to do something to celebrate.
Vicki that episode of 60 min Makeover must be a few years old as I remember seeing it, I don't watch daytime tv very much these days. The house was in an area on the other side of Stevenage to where I live. Oh I have just been on to a web site trying to find out when the programme was made and found out that they have done another one recently. Was the persom to whom the house belonged an elderly widow. If so then this is a new programme and I haven't seen it.

Bean, I hope that he does spread the word about the dogs. I would hate to think you got broken into when you were out, just think of all the mess you would have to clean up. Trouble is you might have been in trouble if the dogs had gotten to him, which I know is daft but that is the way the world seems to be going at the moment.

Happy Anniversary Vicki!!

We're not up to 30 yet, I'm too young to have been married that long...

Bean, sorry to hear about the attempted break in. A big, beware of the dogs, sign might be in order! Good for them! I know what you mean about being glad doors aren't locked. I battled one of my flatmates about not deadlocking the door when we were inside. One - if there is a fire you can't get out without a key, and Two - if a bad guy is inside my house, I want him out!! Unfortunately I was proven right when a druggie climbed in a window one night. Fortunately I had won the battle and he left via the front door with only money.

I think you are right Suzy.
Not exactly sure where he entered the property.. came over a neighbours fence I think.. if it stops raining long enough tomorrow I'll check if they had any visitors.. Its virtually impossible to get down the driveway side of the house and the other side is almost as difficult. I suspect he may have been on the run and crossing yards .. just the way they do in the movies..he'd long gone by the time the police turned up in our street..

Brenda that was my thought as well.. once I'd got past thinking it would have served him right. But then again we could have turned him straight over to the police. Would not like them to be declared dangerous... or to get a taste for attacking..
