All Excedrin products are off the market, and have been for a few months. The factory that packages them got very lax and started putting broken pills into bottles, and accidentally put the wrong pills in bottles. As soon as Novartis (the parent company) discovered the problem, they recalled all Excedrin and shut down the factory until major improvements could be made. They've made progress and plan on starting up production again in June.
As a footnote, IH does research for Novartis.

I am just making a quick stop before heading up to bed. Mitchell has developed a cold and he has given it to me. I am not bad yet, but I can feel it starting. I am going to make myself a cup of tea and tuck myself into bed. See you all in the morning.

Amazing Photography!

The hummingbird doing rolls chasing a bug is neat!!!

This is beautiful.......be sure and watch closely (around 2 min 40 sec) and check out the baby bat under its mama. Unreal.
If you never knew what goes on in the garden when you aren't paying attention, watch this - some of the finest photography you will ever see.
I especially liked the footage of the Monarch butterflies

I hope it's a short lived bug, Tami.

I just got back from an impromptu Lions meeting to decide who gets awarded our annual College scholarship. We only had 6 applicants, and most of them had us laughing uproariously. The worst one contained a ridiculous life story that sounded like a bad soap opera. It even had bullet holes in the walls. Another was an arrogant little snot who wants to be a shrink. We figured that we should get those 2 together. Only one talked about what she has done for the community and what she wants to contribute to the community in the future. Since we're a community service organization, that should be our main qualification.

Good afternoon folks.
Cold and blustery today... and MUDDY!

Hello, Fellow Sudokuaholics! I hope you are all well or improving!

Suzy, I hope you're continuing to feel better!

Vicky, I'm sorry to hear about the difficulties with your MIL. I can understand that the staff doesn't want to deal with it, but they should be trained for dealing with it. I agree with Tricia; there may be an underlying medical issue.

June, I hope you are fully warmed after a cold day outside! It's too bad you just had to sit and couldn't get up and move around. Laura's choice of Mother's Day gift for you was well-thought and perfect! I'm glad you had a nice Mother's day, though also windy. I hope the big round of bowls (I guess it's today, now) went/goes well!

Tricia, good for you for diagnosing the problem with the AC! I'm sure it's a relief to know that it will be working as the warmer weather arrives! Seems like you also diagnosed kitty correctly, since she's back to eating! I hope you got all of your errands done!

Theresa, I hope you had a nice Mother's Day! So thoughtful of you to make the bed cover for your MIL! Your shoulders must be feeling better for you to be able to complete such a big project!

Heidi, I'm so sorry your leg is bothering you more. Not good when you're also dealing with a migraine! I hope you found some Excedrin Migraine when you were in town to get dog food! I had noticed my CVS wasn't carrying the Extra Strength Excedrin we usually get and had to buy the CVS brand.

Tami, I hope you are able to intercept the cold so that it doesn't get a firm hold!

Theresa, thanks for sharing the link! I'm going to take a look!

Heidi, I'm glad you enjoyed reading the scholarship applications! They sound very funny!

Bean, so sorry to hear about the mud! Those big puppies are going to need to learn how to wipe their feet!

Rolanda, does cool and drizzly weather mean no progress on the house?

I am falling asleep as I type and will have a late night tomorrow, so better head to bed. Good Night, Everyone! Feel free to share these positive thoughts, healing vibes, prayers, {{{{{HUGS}}}}} and !

Afternoon all,
I've got a lot of reading to do and not much time so I'd better get stuck into it.

MizT, I hope I remember to remind you about the Benadryl, or that someone does. I'm so glad you found what worked!! And that you 'fixed' the air conditioner. It's good news that kitty is feeling better. Our kitty tries to trip us over if we don't go straight to his dish.

Heidi, good luck getting through this week. I'm sending wishes that you have help and support - obviously not from Gil, I'm not that stupid...

Rolanda, our solar water heating catches us out like that too. In winter when it doesn't heat, but also in summer because we use the booster so rarely then that we forget the water won't heat on an overcast day. An hour won't do it for us though, I think our tank is too large - it seemed like a good idea at the time..

Vicki, so sorry to hear about your MIL. Your hubby would know if it's age related or if she's always been this way. My grandmother was always off with the fairies and twisting/misunderstanding everything she heard (or overheard, she was sneaky too). I wonder what Alzheimers looks like when you've always been off kilter? I'm kind of annoyed at the staff where she is staying. Isn't it their job to deal with difficult older people? Shouldn't they be talking medical referrals rather than kicking her out???

Tami, I timed my rides to make sure I got to see the parades! One day I hope I get to see the video of Mitchell, it must be gorgeous!! Not long before we left they introduced a check in system where you took a ticket and it told you what time to come back. We didn't wait any longer than 15 minutes in line after that. Would have been great if they'd had it all along!

June, your angel sounds lovely. I would have cried a little too. I hope you had a wonderful day What a bummer that you had to sit in the cold and didn't even get to play!!

Theresa, it was very thoughtful of you to make that rug for your MIL, especially when you are in so much pain, but even without that. I'm glad she appreciated it. It will keep her nice and warm too..

Heidi, that sounds like good criteria to me! When Dana was sponsored to go on that thing she went on (fuzzy brain, lost the name) the criteria were different - they were aiming to help young people who were heading off in the wrong direction. Unfortunately they invited Three off on the same trip and, although they were in different groups, I blame that for it not working for her.

Suzy.. there is only 2 of us in the House..
I shower in the morning, Peter Showers in the Evening.
Booster switch on a hour in the morning before my shower, and a hour in the late Afternoon before Peter gets home is more than adequate. At the moment.

In Summer it is toooo HOT!! Burny HOT!

It has caught me out this week. with the rainy days and not much sunshine, and the cooler temps over night.

WARNING: VENT AND SWEARING

If the only people using the washing machine are Dana and me, and I know I always put the lid on the wool wash, how come mr nobody has lost it??

I wish Mr Nobody would move out of my house!! He's getting up to all kinds of things - leaving mess and rubbish everywhere, using my stuff and not returning it, putting Dana's dirty clothes in with mine (she doesn't do it, she always takes her dirty clothes back to her room - yeah right!)

Today I was picking up rubbish from off and around the side table where she sits in the lounge room and said 'I want this to be the last time I do this, you're supposed to be an adult!' Yeah, alright, I'd do it if you'd get out of the way. 'I haven't been in the way since yesterday when I first asked you to pick up your cr@p!!'

Dirty nappies on the floor of my car - my bad, I thought I'd picked them up!!! Can you say EEEEWWWWWW gross!

Alie, can you go pick up the wet washers from the floor of the shower recess and while you're at it, use one of them to clean up the hair all over the basin from when you cut it?? Another EEEEEWWWW gross!!

I got Dana back though. I opened the door to her room and threw her stuff in. Each time she'd say 'what's that?' I'd tell her and she'd say 'oh'. I asked Alie to pick up the dirty clothes from the bathroom floor but not to put any of Dana's in the dirty clothes basket. I had a huge pile that I just scooped up and threw through her door. I'd asked her to pick it up yesterday 'I don't leave my dirty clothes in the bathroom mum'. I made sure to point out to her as she went back to her room after her shower that she didn't have any dirty clothes with her. Now it is all in a pile just inside her doorway!!

Speaking of kids, we have opened up a boutique in our lounge room. Both the daughters who work in the fashion industry cleaned out their wardrobes, and there is enough 'stock' there to keep a shop going for months. They were going to have a market stall to sell off their pre-loveds, but time got away from them, so I suggested having like a clothes garage sale in our house, and it has been very successful, I would say the girls have sold 2-300 dollars worth of clothes, shoes and accessories! We are going to keep it going indefinitely, but from now on viewing is by appointment as I will not be here permanently.

Mr Nobody has a large and far flung family as he lives here too.
Suzy, I am getting to the same state as you right now. Bathrooms never tidied up, shoes and boots left all over the house (I'll hold my hands up to a couple of pairs of shoes hanging around. I pair at each of the two back doors) Dog paraphernalia all over the house.
Bean I empathize with you about muddy dog paw prints all over the house. Kitchen floor needs mopping frequently. Lounge carpet will need cleaning soon. I'm hoping to replace it once Pip has grown up and not having accidents, oh and when I have saved up enough money.

This is a little story about four people named Everybody, Somebody, Anybody, and Nobody.

There was an important job to be done and Everybody was sure that Somebody would do it.

Anybody could have done it, but Nobody did it.

Somebody got angry about that because it was Everybody's job.

Everybody thought that Anybody could do it, but Nobody realized that Everybody wouldn't do it.

It ended up that Everybody blamed Somebody when Nobody did what Anybody could have done

Morning all. Coffee is ready, help yourself. I promise, I did not breathe on the coffee this morning.

My wonderful son has shared his cold with me. I tells me in the morning he doesn't feel well and I like a bad mommy I tell him to get dress and go to school. If I have to go, he has to go. Besides, he has an AP exam on Friday so he needs to be there for the review.

Ken tells Laura "Harvey the rabbit" did it!

I won my singles bowls game. A very tight game 32/27. We played 36 ends so there was a lot of walking. Similar temperature to yesterday but no freezing cold wind so it was very pleasant. Still three rounds to go to the final.

I may not have kids to drive me crazy, but IH makes up for it. And I'm the winner at muddy paw prints and puppy messes around the house. Only they can't be expected to pick up or clean up their messes. Just last night, IH set a trash bucket full of chewables on the floor and the pack helped themselves to a myriad of delectables. In seconds, the freshly vacuumed carpet around the house was covered in bits of corn cob, shredded aluminum foil (from around a corned beef) and bits of shredded paper. IH then screamed about the mess they made and stormed out of the house for hours. Guess who got to clean it up?

Off to the dentist's office. I'm about to lose my last remaining original issue tooth, and we're gonna numb it by drilling a hole through gum and bone and injecting the novocain directly to the spot. Doesn't that sound fun?

To everyone with solar hot water heaters, up here we have "on demand" hot water heaters, small amounts of water heated very quickly as needed. I think those would be ideal to use with a solar system. the incoming water already being on the warm side, would take very little energy to heat it to the temp you need. heated only as it goes through the pipes to end use, so no spending energy to heat water to sit in the tank. I do wonder why no one has thought of using that with the solar? If solar continues to have these 'cold shower days' people will be disinclined to keep them, or to have them if they hear this from friends. Just wondering, but then, they did not ask me

BIL has gone home, since he has to take his partner to doctor in morning. Said he needds to rest up this afternoon.

We had a nice lunch out for his birthday. found a new cafe, as the one I wanted has closed. It was a small seafood restaurant, and now a "microwave pizza" type place is there, yuck! I had been telling him how good an oyster poorboy sandwich they made at the seafood place. guess what? New restaurant offered the same, he had never had one, and tried it, said it was delicious. I had sirloin tips with peppers and onions, baked potatoes, and salad, and it was yummy, tender and tasty and plentiful. Neither of us had any dinner last night after eating there at 1:30 pm hehehe We will go there again.

One of Joy's kitties died late yesterday afternoon. She took it to her friends farm for burial last night. I hope it helps some that she has another to keep her ompany while she misses Spaz.

Hi everyone! :)
Happy Birthday Rolanda, hope you have a lovely day. :)
Well, the dog has gone to puppy day-care for the day, so it feels like a holiday - what to do first?! Might go and buy some warm clothes, or just wander around like a lost soul, or ... so many choices! Yeah, I guess I could do some cleaning ... ok, will see what I can fit in.
Hope everyone is doing ok today. Have a good one. :)
