Good Evening, All! I'm going to read and comment quickly, I hope. We have another early morning tomorrow.

Broni, I just missed you (my late last night). Thank you, I did sleep well last night! I hope you're well!

June, what a shame that Bluey's PM didn't go through!

Brenda, congratulations to your youngest D on her BA Honors degree! Good luck with her job hunting!

June, I'm not sure if I would have found the telemarketer's call funny at the time, but find it funny in retrospect.

Suzy, I hope the 'controlled substances' relieve Alie of her sore throat/cold symptoms on time for the performances! Good luck to you and your brother getting the lawyer(s) straightened out! Please keep us posted on the 'mystery audience'.

Tami, I think it's good that Dylan will get the old bedroom set. White is a nice crisp look for a bedroom, I think. I suppose you could always pass the single bed mattress from Dylan on to Mitchell, giving him the equivalent of a king size, though the mattresses wouldn't be next to each other.

Theresa, I hope the soreness from yesterday has worn off today! I'm so glad your FIL enjoyed the celebration in his honor!

Heidi, it's too bad the breeding still didn't take for Serenade. Your theory might be correct, and it might be fun to have 2 foals around the same age.

Nola, I'm so glad you had time to read and comment today! Sending positive thoughts and {{HUGS}} for Judy and for you! What a good plan to avoid answering the phone in case it would be work calling for you! You need time to catch up on sleep and spend some quality time with Judy! I'm glad your D and SIL worked out things with her ILs after the pool incident. The good thing about it is that it reminded all of them to be more observant and keep tabs on the children!

Good Night, Tricia! I hope your birthday was special from morning til night!

I need to get myself to bed soon, as we'll be getting up at 6:00. {{{{{HUGS}}}}}, positive thoughts, prayers, healing vibes and for each of you!

Good afternoon folks.
Haven't read yet.. connection keeps dropping out and after yesterdays effort thought I should say hello first..

Feeling a little red faced after yesterdays computer glitch.. everything keeps breaking down in the house at the moment.. reaching their use by dates. Plugged my netbook into an extension cord while I was surfing yesterday and when the screen suddenly went blank I thought it had died. Turned it off and then it wouldn't turn on again. Not happy to be without a computer...

Settled down in front of the heater last night [yep..doing well with boxes..can use the heater] and unplugged the pc to connect up the paper shredder.. whoa..it didn't work either...

DUH! Light bulb moment. The relief to have it backis overriding the embarrassment.. just...

I think each of us has done that, Bean. At least I have. Once.

I am ashamed to admit that even though I got the pieces of the temporary tooth back together, and even filled in the gap left by a missing chip, I cannot get the tooth to stay in the mouth. It's riding a wee bit high and the tooth knocks loose every time I hit an edge with another tooth. I admit defeat, at least for tonight. I called the dentist's office and found that she won't be back until the 25th. I'm just going to have to tough it out.

Heidi I don't need to question how you are managing to break so many teeth.. same thing is happening here. Has escallated since hitting menopause even though my calcium levels are good. Lost another point from one of my lower molars which means i need to find another dentist.. mine has retired and I'm scared to death .. actually phobic...

Th is is an horrific story. Some of the kids arrested are only 14. This is in an area of Melbourne that I wouldn't like to have to travel to and definitely not without having all doors locked.

Getting there...

June..funeral plans..oh dear..that tickeled my sense of humour.. so funny.. sorry Ken.. but that is a gem..I hope he is feeling a bit better.
May be in Sydney the first weekend in July for a conferance. I'm meant to be having an op that week but don't feel well enough for surgery so I suspect Sydney will win.. Will let you know.

Depending on how things are here at home may just fly in on the Friday and home again Sunday night. Lack of sleep and overwork is having its toll on Lachie. Yesterday after a full day at school he started work at 8:30 for another 8+ hr shift.

Evening all, just waiting for the show to start. Apparently the matinee went well today, just a couple of technical glitches.

Nola, big hugs to you and Judy. My request to work came via text so I couldn't not answer! Working next 3 days...

Brenda, can't remember if I sent congrats to your D, a wonderful achievement! Celebration I think.

June, I hope Ken made the salesman feel small.

Broni, have a good time with your brother!

Time to go

Gail, that would have been exciting. Not big enough to damage anything that is well built, but an 'event' to remember. I haven't heard about it yet do I hope there wasn't any damage or injuries.

The show was great! The microphones kept cutting out, but I suspect the young people controlling the sound had a lot to do with the problems... Can't say that though, not politic.. Some of them weren't them, but others could easily have been them... They didn't even turn one girl on because they didn't think she was important enough. Then why did she have a mike???

Gekko everybody!

IH is at the plant, so it's nice and quiet here. I'm not going to let Robert work this week because it's too hot. All I have to do today is finish two drawings of lions for a friend who needs them for illustrating a talk. It'll be a good day to do that.

Earthquake??? I'm glad that there were no severe injuries. Mother Nature has been quiet lately, so we should have suspected that she was planning something. She doesn't like to remain out of the news for long.

Greetings friends, another lazy day here, I did not sleep well till the wee hours, almost dawn. then D#2 phoned at 9, I was not ready to wake up.

Brenda, congrats to daughter on her graduation with honors.

heidi, hate nightmares. to bad you cannot get on and ride it away.

Gail, I just read about a minor earthquake in daughters neighborhood of California last week. she did not even mention it. did you feel it?

SUZY, cannot believe the 'sound children' would have power to decide whose mike got turned on and whose did not.

HEIDI, thanks for the message from Gath re: PMs. I had received many PM birthday greetings over the weekend, I had forgotten you said the system was down.

I need to be off to buy a battery for my lawn mower, it is that or buy goats! Been 2 weeks since it ws cut, I need to be able to hop on mower and cut when i feel like it. Maybe someone will be available to put it back in mower for me.

Hugs to each of you, with extras.

My brain is fried from the heat. Tomorrow and Thursday the regular temp will be 35C, so I can only imagine what the feels-like temp will be.

The girls' last day of school is the 26th. We are going in with their other grandma (known as nanny) and their parents on bicycles and helmets for them as graduating gifts. They have outgrown their old ones.

Hubby is having a BBQ and I won't be eating for a while. When it's this hot I have no appetite. Maybe a little later I'll make a stirfry, but it's too hot in the kitchen right now.

It's really hot here, too, but it's so dry that the heat index is lower than the actual temperature.

Bandolero is only a half mile from here right now, so instead of hitching up the trailer, loading Sadie up, driving her over there, unloading her, then taking the trailer home and unhitching it, I just walked Sadie over there on a lead rope. It's so nice to be able to walk again.

Hi, Everyone! Another long day, and I'm about to fall asleep on the keyboard.

Heidi, thanks for updating us on the PMs! I'm sorry you're having problems with the temporary tooth repair! Luckily your dentist isn't away for a 3-week vacation, though a week will be difficult if you haven't solved the problem earlier!

Bean, it's good to have you here and posting! What a relief that your netbook is working! I hope you will be feeling better, whether the surgery gets scheduled or not! Speaking of schedules, poor Lachie! Does he get to sleep occasionally?

Heidi, I hope you were able to return to sleep without being accompanied by a continuation of the nightmare!

Suzy, I'm glad you're getting a lot of calls for work! You may be able to put a big dent in any accumulated debt! I'm glad the matinee had only a few glitches, and hopefully fewer at the evening performance. They'll be seasoned pros by the final night!
Broni, have fun while your brother is visiting, then get lots done! Will we see you here occasionally while he's visiting?

I hope there were no injuries or damage (other than some minor) from the earthquake! They can be a bit unnerving, even if damage is minor or nonexistent.

Heidi, I hope you had a restful day and got the lions drawn! It's a good idea to keep outside work to a minimum with the high temperatures. Don't over-do while moving the hay!

Theresa, stay in the air conditioned portion of the house as much as possible! It's nice that you, hubby, D, SIL, and his parents can pool your resources to get the bikes and helmets! I'm sure the girls will love them and put them to good use this summer!

MIzT, I'm so sorry you didn't sleep well until almost time to get up, and then had an early call! Hopefully you found a way to fit a nap in later in the day! I hope you were able to get a new battery for your lawn mower and get it installed.

Heidi, that's great that you could walk Sadie over to where Bandolero is staying. I hope she will soon be in foal. I hope Serenade will be also! It could be fun to have them both be pregnant at the same time.

I am about to hit the hay (not Heidi's, just my bed). Sending {{{{{HUGS}}}}}, prayers, positive thoughts, healing vibes and for each and everyone of you!

Just lost my post...

Today wasn't too bad, but that was only because the acting head teacher helped me out. The teacher left me a word find for 2 year 9 careers classes, that would have kept them busy for about 5 minutes! She found a work sheet on preparing for an interview and I worked through that with them instead. There was a worksheet for a year 9 work education class, another for a year 12 business studies class, each wrapped with the name of the class and no further instructions. My last class of the day - always the feral one - was a year 10 HSIE class and I had a page in a textbook bookmarked with a sheet of paper with the name of the class on it.

I got to come straight home after that as Alie is home sick. Her throat is really sore and her nose running. I will drug her up before we go to the musical tonight. Sudafed, panadol and strepsils...

All of us are going tonight and Tahli is staying with Spedo and his sister.

Theresa, what a great way to start the holidays! I hope they use the bikes well, though it may be too hot for the. Oh well, kids can handle heat better than we oldies can.

Heidi, will you scan in your drawings and share them with us? I'd like to see them.

Hi folks.
So windy here today. Great for washing and my doona really needed it so I am happy to have it washed and back in side. Have a big day tomorrow.. a nice clean bed will help me sleep :)

June I will let you know when the bookings are made. Would love to catch up.

Lachie went to work early tonight and i hope he will be home well before midnight.. he has school again tomorrow .. has another assessment. Then back off to work again after a couple of hours break. The answer to your question Julie.. isn't much. Anybody that has worked shift work and knows what it is like to upset the body clock by trying to sleep during the day will understand the zombie state he often ends up in.

Now to sort some food.. watching Masterchef & it is making me hungry. Curry tonight I think..

Visited Cosco today, with friends. We went to have a look but did not buy anything as we did not have a card. It is no value to us as we nolonger need to buy larger quantities. It is an interesting store and we did have lunch there. An American sized slice of pizza and a coffee for $5.

June, she sucked, you ask her. Her voice cracked and she forgot a word in one of her lines... Actually she was fabulous, as were all of the other kids!! Considering how bad her throat feels I was amazed. The industrial arts people are amazing! Audrey is brilliant! No way could you tell where the puppeteer was - except when Seymour was carrying around the little one (not the littlest - there were actually 4 Audreys) I am amazed at how hard the puppeteer works. I am amazed at how amazed I was by the whole show!

June, I used to love Costco in the US, but it was dangerous for us to go there! We spent all of the money we saved on irresistible bargains...

OMG, no wonder her throat isn't getting any better. She has been running off at the mouth since she got out of the change rooms. I wonder if I'll ever get this post finished! She fell down the stairs by the way.

Morning all. Coffee is ready, help yourself.

Suzy, hoping Alie is feeling better soon and did not get hurt when she fell.

I also like Costco but usually go to BJ's. I don't have a card for either but... My brother has a business account at Costco and has a card he can give any employee. My former boss gave me her extra BJ's card. It has her picture on it but BJ's doesn't really check. They also have several self-service checkouts. As long as the card works, I will use it. BJ's is similar to Costco.

Hope Alie is ok after her fall, it sounds as if her bad throat isn't stopping her.
I like Costco too, but like Suzy we used to spend far too much there, if I need to go I will get a new membership. I have a Macro card, but very rarely go there. I think the last time I used it was just before Xmas and that was on line.
