I feel good, but tired. I moved 90 rolls of hay, and for one of my breaks, I stopped along the creek and picked a quart of blackberries. They're just starting to ripen. I got the early ones.

Oops... I miscounted. I forgot the 17 rolls of last year's hay that I moved out of the new hay barn to make room for this year's supply.

Greetings friends, I arrived safely home this afternoon, took care of priorities , let cat outside and back in, fed cat, brought things in from car, had a nap, roughly in that order. We had a w9nderful dinner, Jody had a tender it is falling aart pot roast, I kidded her she had bought half a cow hehehe, huge roast, the better for leftovers, Deviled eggs, green beans, field peas, spinach salad, and birthday cake.

Joy brought presents, flowers in a pretty glass vase and consumables cause I did not need anything to have to move hehehe. A huge package of trash bags, cause she used up mine moving and had not replaced them. Crystal light drink mix, the grab it and go single servings, in 3 flavors, sleepy time tea, for nights I have trouble getting to sleep. most thoughtful gifts, OH, 9 volt batteries, cause sometimes my TENS unit eats them, and she wanted me to always have a spare.

sister is much improved, but far from well. she tired quickly just being up for dinner and soon retired to the sofa. Her son got her pillows and a throw, she had a little nap while the rest of us sat around the table and chatted.

I enjoyed my visit, but it is nice to be home.

i read comments, and will be back tomorrow to comment on what I read. hugs to each of you, I am yawning, will retire to recliner till it is bed time. hugs to each of you, with extras.

I made a delightful chicken and wild rice soup for dinner tonight, and served it in freshly baked bread bowls. It was delicious, but I somehow managed to break my temporary tooth off and into a few pieces. I'm out of super-glue to put the pieces back together, though I have plenty of the apoxy-sculpt that I use to reattach teeth. My dentist loves it when I use it because it holds better than her temporary cement, and pops off the tooth easier too, for less clean up. She can't use it because it isn't approved for any human use. I'll go to the store first thing in the morning for more super-glue.

Heidi with the amount of time you are at the dentist and with the amount she does, I'm sure she can afford to go on really nice vacations.

I'm going car hunting on Friday. It's time we traded in hubby's car before it looses too much more value. Where we buy will depend on the trade in they offer or the extras they are prepared to throw in to sweeten the deal. I'm prepared to push to get what I want.

Happy Birthday MizT! Hope it is filled with family, fun and lots of food!! So far it sounds wonderful!!

Heidi, I'd love to share your blackberries with you. I don't know how you break all of those teeth! It seems to happen often...

Vicki, good luck finding a good car. I hate car shopping and am happy with the first one I find that does the job!! Not really very sensible, but...

I worked again today and most of the classes were good. The last one really really sucked, but that's not bad odds.

Hello, Friends!

Way to go, Viv! Back at home already! Listen to your physical therapist; do what he/she says; your recovery will go quickly!

Nola, I hope you actually get to have your four days off in a row! Make the best of them!

June, I hope things will soon be back to normal! Take your time cleaning. How nice that the little girls enjoyed the gathering as much as the big girls!

Suzy, that reminds me - I need to do some shopping for food. I know all will go well for Alie and the play this week! Hooray for more work for you. Hopefully this trend will continue!

Happy Birthday, Tricia! May you be blessed with many more! I've been thinking of you and Joy today as we celebrate Fathers' Day! I hope Al joined with all of the other Dads in heaven and had a great day.

Heidi, I hope you were able to get all of the hay hauled today!

Theresa, I hope you and hubby had a nice Fathers' Day visit with his parents! I'm glad your grandie finally fell asleep! Hopefully it wasn't too uncomfortable for you! I'm so glad to hear that the anti-anxiety medication has helped her some!

Tricia, it sounds like you had a nice day for your birthday celebration. Hopefully you are back home for a bit now!

Great TOPP, Heidi! My goodness! You moved 90 rolls of new hay after moving out 17 rolls from last year? And you had time to pick blackberries! What a day!

MIzT, your birthday celebration sounds wonderful! A delicious meal and cake! Sensible presents! A nice visit with family! I'm so glad to hear that Edna is feeling better and hope for quick continued improvement! And you're back at home!

Heidi, your dinner sounds wonderful, but how does one break a temporary tooth on soup? Good luck putting it back together tomorrow after you have purchased a new supply of super glue! When does your dentist get back from her vacation?

Vicki, good luck with your car hunting later this week. It is not a favorite task of mine. Hubby usually has in mind what he wants. I think my role is basically to ask question and try to get the best price. Otherwise, I don't think my opinions mean much when it comes to cars.

Suzy, hooray for a day with mostly good classes!

I'm falling asleep and need to wish you all a good night! Feel free to share these positive thoughts, healing vibes, prayers, and {{{{{{HUGS}}}}}}!

I found out why Bluey was not here on Saturday. She sent me a PM (which I did not get) to find out if the lunch was still on. When she did not hear from me she assumed it had been called off. I am pleased she is OK.
Tricia, hope you are enjoying the rest of your birthday. you received some very useful presents.

Ken had a funny phone telemarketing call tonight. Asked how he was feeling and he answered 'not very well'. The person said they were sorry about that and then proceeded to ask if he was interested in funeral insurance.

What a shame about the missed PM, but it just shows that this type of communication is not perfect. I try not to use texts or messaging to make important arrangements. A good old fashioned phone call can't be beaten for getting in touch.

While we were away 3G Internet connection was practically none existent, mobile telephone signal wasn't much better. The only way Richard managed to receive a call from our youngest D was by hanging out the bedroom window of the cottage.
D wanted to let us know the result of her final year of uni. She has a BA Honours degree. Now she has to find a job!!

June, is it really wrong that I laughed about the telemarketing call?? So very wrong!

Broni, scruff Bella's ears for me please...

Poor Alie has a sore throat and stuffy nose - the bad cold we've all just shaken off has finally got to her.. the day before the musical starts. I picked up some stuff from the chemist today (they bent the rules and let me buy 2 products from the restricted list on the same day. Don't you hate criminals that make everything so hard for the rest of us???)

We're up to 4 guesses on the mystery audience - politicians (local), teachers, nurses and people getting their immunisations, and now the retirement village across the street. I'm trying to work out why it is such a big secret... and thinking that I'm probably reading too much into it.

Morning all. Coffee is ready, help yourself.

Brenda, please give your daughter my congratulations. That is impressive, to graduate with honors.

Suzy, it seems funny that you are getting work and I am being a bum. I don't wan to trade, I like being a bum. Hope Alie feels better.

Tricia, glad you had a nice time with your family. Enjoy your birthday today.

Bought Dylan a new bookshelf yesterday and have to put it together today. He has decided he wants my old bedroom set. He currently has a twin size loft bed. He sleeps on top and has a tent/play area underneath. He is starting to outgrow it. My old set is a full/double. Mitchell is upset as he wants the bigger bed. Dylan always gets the hand-me-downs so I am letting him get this one.

If anybody reads Easy, they'd know that the PM system is broken. Only one word messages and subjects go through. Gath is trying to fix it, but it probably means a major overhaul of the entire site, if it's even possible. Unless Bluey sent a series of one word PMs, her message was doomed.

Thanks Heidi, I am the younger sibling also but I liked my brother's hand-me-downs. I was a bit of a tomboy. My mom thinks the set is girlie, but I disagree. It is plain white formica. We will decorate with sports stuff. I bought him a white book shelf to get started. Besides, Dylan is going to be bigger than Mitchell some day. Dylan at 11 is the size Mitchell was at 13.

I slept for several hours in the recliner in front of the TV. Now I cannot get back to sleep.
Suzy, if he had some terminal disease it would not have been very funny but it is just the flu and I found the irony of the call funny.

Morning all.

Brenda, congratulations to your daughter. Wow!

I am very sore today from yesterday's visit to the outlaws. Sitting in the car for 1 and a half hours each way, sitting at the continuing care facility. Plus the AC in the car is not working yet and it was humid. I am paying for it today, so I think I'll take it a bit easy. My right shoulder is sore again too!!!! D wanted me to go for a walk with her, but I just couldn't. I have to waddle over to the store in a bit, but that's as far as I'm going.

Yesterday was enjoyable. We ordered food from a restaurant and we had brought a cake for dessert. My FIL really seemed to appreciate it. All in all a good day. Next time I have to remember to get up and move more though.

I just got word that Serenade's breeding didn't take.... again. They're going to flush her with antibiotics, in case there's a mild infection, and try again. She's had 4 foals before, and has never had this problem. I told her owner that Sere is just waiting for Sadie to be bred, so they can have their foals at the same time. I'm going to be breeding Sadie, as soon as she comes in season, to a black and white pinto Paso Fino stallion who belongs to the friend who now owns Flash.

Brenda..congratulations to your daughter. You must be very proud.
I watched a TV show on the Vincent bike pilgramage in Stevenage and it looked like a lovely town.

Suzy, pleased you are getting some work to pay off those dreaded debts.Hope Allie can still perform well with a cold.

Victoria..good luck getting the car you want at a good price.

Viv..sending healing vibes for your new knee. They dont keep patients in for long and that was a big op.Good luck keeping up the exercises with minimal pain.

Heidi..where do you get your energy? Looking forward to hearing Serenade is in foal soon.

Tami..how is the summer break going and the packing for Mum/Dad.Hope you manage to have a holiday somewhere.

Julie..thanks for the updates that you do so well.
Even when you are very busy you manage to comment which prompts the memory for me.

June..it is a shame Bluey missed the gathering.I am being lazy & using Gregs laptop, only because it is cold in the study and I can sit here with the heater on. This computer doesn't show anything down the side..mystery to me.
