Our weather for the next three or four days will be hovering at or just above 30C. I was hoping for less. I find that just toooooooo hot! I know it's not +100F or anything like that, but the humidity really gets to me. Almost (I said almost) makes me wish for winter.

Hubby has gone to his parents so it's a quiet Canada Day for me. I don't have a problem with that.

Now we have lots of thunderboomers. The power keeps going on and off. Fortunately, I have a back-up battery on my surge protector, so if the power goes off, I don't lose my internet connection on my desktop pooter.

Glad you got rain Heidi. There were rain showers about, we got the wind off one T shower here, and about a 7 degree drop in temps. I\I also got a e-mail warning that my county was under a t storm warning. I do hope it rained at my house. If not, I might come home to dead flowers I was not able to reach either of my neighbors via phone, ones who would have watered for me if they knew.

Heidi, loved the horse photos. congrats on getting both of your girls bred, hope they both give you healthy foals.

Rolanda, hope the foot improves as the day progresses. Do you think you need to have doc check for anything broken?

Don't do anything Tami would not do? I cannot think of one thing that would be forbidden then hehehe.

Theresa, I know what you mean about the humidity. Ours is increasing some, but still not up to the frequent 90% humidity we can have. It should be cooler tomorrow, and cooler still my tuesday. I plan on gonig home tomorrow, to arrive just before dark, I think I have found someone who can install a AC unit for me, he phoned on my cell to see if I needed grass cut. He must be in need of $$$, Installation is easy, just have someone (me?) raise the window while he lifts the old one out, and sets the new one in place. We should be able to manage that.

Time to sign off, and read a bit. I slept too much today. My tummy was complaining a bit, and I just slept through it. Hope I continue to get sleepy, it is starting to happen after evening meds.
Hugs to each of you, with extras.

Afternoon all
Finally got my computer for a little while!

Rolanda, hope your foot is feeling better soon.

Gail, glad you had a mini-date night, even without power! I'm glad it didn't go out while hubby was hooked up, at least I hope it didn't. That would have been a bit of a worry! Though I think you said you had or were getting a back up generator for that.

Heidi, loved the photos.

MizT, hope you are able to get your air conditioner installed. Your sister's house sounds lovely and a great place to visit, but there's no place like home!

Julie, hope your blister is gone and your fingers feeling well enough to practice again.

Okay, brain dead. I read too many pages (I try to keep up on my phone, but I keep accidentally reporting people as offensive so it's slow going)

All is good here. Hubby is in bed with a bad cold. Alie slept half of the day and is now lying around. I figure she worked really hard last term and deserves a couple of days rest. She and a friend went busking yesterday and made over $130 between them in less than 2 hours!

Good Late Evening, Everyone!

Rolanda, I hope your toe and foot are feeling better!

Bean, as Heidi said the temperatures we're experiencing here are well above average for this time of year.

Bean, I'm glad Lachie was able to get in some flying time! I hope you have a wonderful week!

Heidi, I love the pictures of Serenade and Challenger!

Theresa, what a great TOPP for page 458, especially since it seems that most of us agree!

So glad you got rain, Heidi!

I hope your flowers got rain, Tricia! Good luck getting the air conditioner installed!

Woo Hoo, Suzy has the computer - AND - a baby-free night! Enjoy! My little finger is back to normal - wasn't really a blister - more like an aggravated nerve from sliding and pressing on the heavier strings to practice vibrato.

Cyn, it's good to see you posting!

Exhaustion has set in. Sending lots of , prayers, positive thoughts, {{{{{{HUGS}}}}}} and healing vibes for all!

Morning all. Coffee is ready, help yourself.

Tricia, you are right, as I will do almost anything, that leaves a lot open. Glad you got someone who can help with the AC unit.

Suzy, hope you enjoyed your baby-free night. I used to enjoy the occasional night that my mom would take the baby for the night. Sounds like Alie had a good day

Rolanda, hope the foot is feeling better.

Julie, glad the finger is better. One of these days you need to post a video of you playing.

Heidi, glad you got some rain.

Busy day today. I'm taking off in a couple of minutes to do a meds pick up ay Pain Management. Then this afternoon, I have a dentist appointment. They're gonna be SO thrilled to find out that I lost the second temporary tooth. They thought that they'd used a stronger cement this time, but it only stayed in 4 days.

Suzy, enjoy you quiet night and relax.
Heidi, it will be nice to get that tooth fixed.
I have seldom had toothache but I have disturbed a filling that was sitting near the nerve and it keeps getting quite painful. The filling is only 3-4 years old so I will try and hope it will 'settle down' as I do not want to have the the nerve killed and the filling taken out and replaced if I can help it. (It is a tooth coloured filling, not an old amalgam one)

Good morning all!
It's a bit chilly here this morning. About 5C I think. I can feel the cold coming under the curtains and settling around my feet.

Thank goodness the end of the financial year is over. Now I just have to organise the companies books to send to the accountants and then I can get back to normal.

I hope it cools down for you in the USA and Canada. The reports we see here are horrific - terrible fires in Colorado etc.

Sorry, I've got to run and get ready for work. Aah, a nice warm shower. Have a lovely day all!

I'm back, and very happy. I have my nice new cubic zirconia molar in and it's lovely. It fit like a dream , snug and no adjusting needed. That was my last original issue tooth so I no longer have to worry about cavities, unless they develop under the gum line on the roots themselves.

Love your mouth bling, Heidi!

Hubby's one day a month work day, he looked distraught when the alarm went off this morning lol
I will get up out of my warm bed and face the cold of the house almost all by myself, except Hannah is home on mid-year school holidays. Today I will make a start on painting the woodwork in the main room. The walls have been finished for weeks, but we still haven't painted the doors, the woodwork or the kitchen cupboards, and it will so nice to have actually finished a job! (shouldn't beat myself up, we did finish the guest room in double quick time!)

Greetings friends, I am home, it RAINED today, was in the 70's all day at sister's house. I took them out to lunch as a 'thank you' for feeding me all weekend. As i was getting ready to leave thier house, loadin my car, I missed a small 3 inch high step, and did a spectacular fall. On a scale of 1 to 10, I got about a 9.5 on degree of difficulty and style, also noise hehehe. yep, was a wimp and was crying and mumbling 'it hurts, it hurts'. Landed on both knees, right one first and hardest. but after iceing it for about 30 minuets, i was able to come on home. If I was going to be stove up and not able to get around much, wanted it to be here in my one level, no stairs house, and not at sister's with the stairs.

I would like to say thank you to an anonymous big rig truck driver. I fell in behind him as I got onto the freeway and stayed there for over 40 miles. I did not have to make traffic decisions, just follow him, easy driving.

I quickly read the posts, but cause of pain meds, I did not retain much. I will try to come back later this evening and read more.

boy am I thankful for the 80 degree weather that greeted me when I got home, the clouds, the tiny bit of rain we had here, seemed to have broken the heat wave. I hope it continues as today was, t'was nice.

June, no AC unit yet, as I just got home. Will be tomorrow fore I can get to town and purchase one, IF the knee does not get stiff overnight. but hopefully some day this week I will have the new one.

Hugs to each of you, with extras. till later.

Glad to hear that the foot is much better, Rolanda.

I just had a weird experience. I was outside checking the water level in the fish pond. On the edge of the water lilies there suddenly arose a screaming sound. A baby bird had fallen onto the lily pads, and a snake had grabbed it. I clapped my hands and the snake slithered away, dropping the baby bird. Before I could grab my skimmer net, a big frog grabbed the baby bird and IT tried to swallow the bird! By that time, I had gotten hold of the net, caused the frog to drop the bird and fished the bird out. As I watched, the snake reappeared and grabbed a fat tadpole instead. The baby bird is now in one of my birdcages, drying out and recovering from the shock. I think it may be old enough to eat on it's own.

It's an LBJ.... a Little Brown Job. I will release it if and when it's possible. It may have some injuries from the snake's teeth.

, Everyone!

Welcome back, Broni! Did you and your brother have fun on the boat? Have you worked on the projects you had planned?

Suzy, I'm glad you enjoyed the baby-free night! Feel free to remind me to post a video from the end-of-year recital. Things have just been too crazy here. We had to travel an hour each way to a friend who has large saws, etc. to cut ends off a desk hubby made for D#2 when she was in college. It won't fit in their new apartment with book shelves she bought to flank it. Tonight we have been disinfecting the toys the grandies played with while they were here. (Strep throat was being passed around between them while they were here, so everything needed to be cleaned.

Heidi, I'm glad you got refills on your pain meds! Hooray for your new tooth replacement!

June, I hope your bowls went well!

Vicki, I'm glad you have the end of year books taken care of! You should feel all warm inside with that accomplished!

Heidi, hooray for your new tooth!

Gail, I hope it got better for your hubby as he was getting ready to go in to work! Good luck with the woodwork painting! I hope it goes well!

Tricia, I'm so sorry about your tumble! I hope it feels better tonight! Thank goodness the temperatures were a bit less when you got home!

Rolanda, I'm glad to hear that your foot is better today!

Heidi, I'm so sorry to hear about the baby bird! I hope there's a chance for it to recover from the trauma! At least it has a warm, dry place to spend some time!

I need to head to bed! I've been exhausted lately! I need to be at the doctor's office by 8:00 for some fasting blood tests. Then hubby and I both need to be at the dentist's office by 10:00

Positive thoughts, healing vibes, prayers, {{{{{HUGS}}}}} and for all!

The baby bird is doing better than expected. I wish I could return it to it's parents, but I can't find the nest. Now that it's dry, I can tell that it's an English (or House) Sparrow. It's an introduced species so there's no ban on me keeping it if I want to.
