So much for working outside right now. It's pouring!!! This rain is MUCH more important than removing some pruned branches.

The radar says that it will be raining for some time, so I'm going back to bed. I consider that a good use of my time, as well.

Morning all. Coffee is ready, help yourself.

Not much on the agenda today. It is supposed to rain later so it is a good day to do nothing. Pretty much what I have done all summer

I am going to start dinner. Pulled pork made in a slow cooker. Really good and really easy.

I spoke to Michella last night. Mama is home and her granddaughter is staying with her for a week or two. Mama doesn't have all her strength back yet, but feels better just being home.

Such WONDERFUL news, Tami. Thanks for sharing it.

It's still raining here! It's sinking into the ground nicely. I am ecstatic. This is enough to start the pastures growing again.

GOOD morning ALL,
The sun is shinning and the temps are rising, but I'm in my comfy house getting ready to shower and wash my hair.....something I've been looking forward to doing. My hair was due to be done a couple of days before my accident, and grow so long and dirty while in the hospital, I had a hairdresser come and dry wash it and cur it, and it looked good for awhile, but now its back to long and dirty, so past time to get at it.
I can hear you guys now saying be careful, and I promise to be....but to keep my sanity I must do this today. Tami shared the important health and companion news, so I can only enjoy being welcomed so beautifully back into the family that has come to mean so much....my SA friends and SISTAS under the skin...love you guys! ♥♥♥
May today find joy in your world and peace in your hearts and love always in your home......my wish for all.

Suzy..I hope the 16th party is a huge success and not spoiled by rain.Have a fabulous time Alie.

Rolanda..get better! Exciting news that you have a roof on the house.

Heidi..great to hear you are getting some much needed rain. I think you are a very hard worker and don't deserve IH's comment about getting up early.Who is the one paying all the bills anyway!

Gail,June,Broni, Julie...to name a few,are also doing something all the time. Wish I had your energy.

Bean..hugs. Your brother obviously meant the world to you.

To everyone else, enjoy the day.
Catch you later.

I think Mama realizes how much she was missed. I have spoken to her daughter Michella a few times and feel like I have a new friend in her. She even made sure to call me to look for the post on FB. As special as Mama is, she did a wonderful job raising her daughter. I have already met Mama in person and hope to one day meet her daughter. I met her son a few years ago. Mama's son lives about 20 minutes from my mom and we all went out last time Mama came to Florida.

MAMA, understand completely the need to wash hair and shower. Just be careful, pace yourself, do a bit and rest a bit. You will do fine.

Just in from a bit of lawn mower riding. that hint of rain we have had did inspire grass to grow. and of course even without the rain, it does grow over the septic field lines. Not as hot as it has been, but hot enough. More rain a possibility, so got this done fore the afternoon rain chances.

I have the best kitty ever. I just gave her a bath in Dawn dishwashing liquuid. I have tried all manner of things for her fleas, nothing seemed to work. Dawn was suggested, so I thought why not? It is used on animals caught in oil spills, it must not be toxic. She was good as could be, she did not scratch, bite, or even cry. It took lots and lots of risning to remove the soap. Now, lets hope it will get rid of her fleas.

We had a 90 second rain shower. Honest, that is how long it last. It is now very humid and muggy outside, yuck.

HUMMM, my font dize here is tiny, I hope it osts correct size.

hugs to each of you, with extras.

It has been raining steadily all day here. Robert and I worked outside for about 4 hours in the rain and enjoyed it tremendously. Clothes and hair will dry, but the rain is soaking in nicely and is a real pleasure to be in.

Mama.... I'm so glad that you have your granddaughter staying with you for a couple of weeks. I would worry too much about you if you were alone.

I just got some new tires for my cart. These are solid rubber ones instead of the bicycle-type inflatable tires it had. I got sick of having punctures, and having to add air to the tires regularly. With these I don't have to worry when we drive through creek beds or through wooded areas. Now I have to wait for the rain to stop to go for a drive. I kinda hope that I have to wait for a week.

I'm back in front of the computer again after getting my shower and hair done, I rested awhile and am now waiting for the spaghetti dinner currently being prepared.
Heidi, I'm glad my grand daughter is here too. Trying to shower showed me how weak I still am....And I felt so strong in the hospital...just going to take baby steps and therapy from the visiting nurse and occupation therapist when they are here...I will be under their watch similarly in the way MizT was when she first came home from the hospital.
The big thing is the mask I have to wear every night for the rest of my life. My CO2 rises when I sleep and the mask helps to keep it in check, if I don't wear it I will be okay until one night I just don't wake up, according to the nurses....so wear it I will...I look like I'm getting ready to do some Fencing or a movie monster....I told my grandie that if anyone tried to sneak into the house to rob me or anything, I'd most likely give them a heart attract instead....LOL.
Heidi, glad I can ease some of your worries...you have more than your share. Tami, thanks for the shout out about the job of raising children well. It's so satisfying to be able to see your children carry out things asked in an unselfish, confident, responsible manner. I am so proud of both of my kids and find them to be great adults who are often admired by their friends. As I said, one proud mom right here.
Well time for dinner so I'll see you folks tomorrow. Have a peaceful remainder of your day or night.

Another rain shower, yeah, this one has a bit of thunder with it. Just a small pop up thunder shower, kind July is famous for, they just appear, then rain themselves out in a matter of minutes.

What has happened, my font is very small, anyone know how I can get it back to a size I can read?

Mama, it has made my day to see you here <3
I remember after I had Chloe, I had quite a blood loss but I was desperate to have a shower and wash my hair. I think we all understand that feeling! So, off I gingerly trundled to the shower down the hall with my wheelie stand with my blood reinfusion, about two minutes into the shower I knew this had not been a great idea...thank heavens for the nurse call button. I felt as 'weak as a kitten' to use my mother's phrase.

Gail, I had a c-section after Mitchell and even though I did not have a blood loss, I was still weak when I took that first shower. Even the first few days at home my mom or husband stayed within calling distance, just in case.

Thanks for helping MizT, Tami. I couldn't have done it. PC's are a mystery to me. They're so over-complicated.

IH just got home. He vanished this morning after his tantrum, and didn't tell me that he was going anywhere. Or when he was going to be back. Being gone 14 hours is nice for me, but very inconsiderate of him. For all I know, he might have been killed in an accident, and I'll have missed hours of celebrating!!!

Heidi, it was a really simple fix for Tricia. I almost gave her directions on here of what to do but I thought a phone call would be more fun. It is always a pleasure to talk to her, and to you. I use a PC at home and an Apple at school.

ooo, a bit more excitement it seems...can't wait :)

Well, back bedroom has it's first wall/ceiling coat on, this is great paint, really does not need a second coat, but I will go over a couple of patches that are bleeding through old marks. There were a couple more things I needed to hole-patch, so letting them dry then I will sand them, finish the paint patching and cut in the edges...then of course the dreaded woodwork! Funny how I always leave that till much later!
I have started doing the woodwork in the main living/kitchen area, the navy blue goes very nicely with the cream walls, can't wait till it's finished! These jobs are good, I can do a bit here and a bit there and swap around if I get sick of doing one thing :)

BTW I am now officially doing all the painting, hubby has realised how much he hates it! It's cool, he does his own work and some of my other bits and pieces while I do it. I get into the 'zone' and just paint away...

Men DO Remember Anniversaries

A woman awakes during the night to find that her husband was not in their bed. She puts on her robe and goes downstairs to look for him.

She finds him sitting at the kitchen table with a hot cup of coffee in front of him. He appears to be in deep thought, just staring at the wall.

She watches as he wiped a tear from his eye and takes a sip of his coffee.

'What's the matter, dear?' she whispers as she steps into the room, 'Why are you down here at this time of night?'

The husband looks up from is coffee, 'Do you remember 20 years ago when we were dating, and you were only 16?' he asks solemnly. The wife is touched to tears thinking that her husband is so caring and sensitive.

'Yes I do,' she replies.

The husband paused. The words were not coming easily. 'Do you remember when your father caught us in the back seat of my car making love?'

'Yes, I remember,' said the wife, lowering herself into a chair beside him.

The husband continued. 'Do you remember when he shoved the shotgun in my face and said, 'Either you marry my daughter, or I will send you to jail for 20 years?'

'I remember that too' she replied softly.

He wiped another tear from his cheek and said......'I would have gotten out today.'

Hello everybody. Early for me, but between dogs and IH, I wasn't allowed to sleep. Some day, I'm gonna figure out how to make IH stop thinking that I can be a morning person like him if I apply myself. I figure it may take an act of violence, tho'.

Kick cousins bed frame that was still in the hallway, haven't broken a toe but perhaps a bone in the foot that is swelling ouch!
Bean, it will happen when it is meant to be, oh but the wait really tests us.
Mama, sold the boat finally! Working permanent part time and doing my head in. Cousin has moved in with me so I can keep a roof over my head when I start travelling. Think that should bring you up to date with me.
Now the rest of you have to summarise what has been happening for Mama.

Sounds delish, Gail. Mmmmmmmm.

I don't like lowering myself to his level, Broni. I only wake him up during the night when his snoring gets so out of hand that the dogs start growling at him.

Heidi.....that's the time to let him sleep and let the dogs do what agitated dogs do.... oh well, I know you wouldn't want to subject the dogs to that...sigh....just a mean thought.
EXCUSE me S.A, manners forgotten in my haste to be mean....GOOD Morning to you from my corner of the world.

Broni....YOU are brilliant! Glad you have finally gotten the boat sold, but sorry we didn't get to take that last ride together. also glad you now have a source of regular income and can travel...my door is still open....not too sure about the cousin being there when you are bumping into his bed and hurting yourself...feel better...now as suggested, I'll be looking for individual summaries....and we all do something...even if its nothing much... I have just walked back and forth to my living room from my bedroom and eaten...see what I mean...LOL.
Have a good one, I'll be around from time to time. Peace.

Thanks for the Skype call, Ouima. It was wonderful seeing you look so chipper, and hearing your upbeat voice. Good luck to Jazz on his oral surgery. My fingers are crossed.
My collies are not only housebroken, but have their own dog door, so they let themselves out. They won't do what some agitated dogs do. The puppies can get a bit playful, though, and I might let them attack him at night if they get too out of control. I know.... that's a mean thought, too.

Hi everyone. Had a busy Saturday morning. Went to the eye doctor and all is well. Just a normal checkup. Then had to do the grocery shopping. I don't know why but the boys all think they need to eat every day. And they insist on being fed more than once. Luckily they can take care of themselves for most meals. We are going out to dinner tonight with some friends and their sons. My niece called. She did not have plans so she is going to be joining us.

Good morning. I did not get here yesterday, just busy with shopping etc. Disney on Ice was great. Before it started an attendant came and asked if Laura and my friends grand daughter would like to ride in the cup cake during the birthday segment of the show. What a thrill for them to be chosen to be part of the show. They sat in the cake (donut shaped) and were twirled around the ice. Laura appreciated the talent of the skaters as well as seeing all the Disney characters.

Heidi, I send Harley in to wake the boys up sometimes. It is fun to see them get jumped on and licked to be woken up. I know, I am a mean mommy
