No time today for the computer. Taking Laura to Disney on Ice tomorrow.
Heidi, is the plant on part of the farm? If so does that give you problems if they foreclose?
Rolanda, take care and I hope things get sorted soon and your health improves.
Hugs everyone. I must get someone else to go to sleep ( a real night owl!)and off to bed early myself.

Mama's daughter posted on FB saying to expect a surprise soon. I am keeping my fingers crossed that that means Mama is going home and will be able to post soon. I know Heidi is not on FB so I will update here later.

Suzy, don't worry about the typos. We all make them and I don't think anyone cares. It just makes us more human.

June... IH's processing plant is a little over 2 hours drive away. He's been dealing with a bank I know nothing about, but he's now trying to re-finance it through the bank I do business with. All of their employees in the branches in this county know me, and would contact me if he tried to forge my signature, but he's dealing with a branch in another county where nobody knows me. I have a feeling that things may come to a head soon. It's so pathetic that I cannot trust him in the slightest. That's no kind of marriage.

I just showed my blackberry patch to some friends and am letting them pick all of the wild blackberries that they can. The heat and drought have played havoc with the berries, but they just picked enough to make a blackberry pie.

TAMI did a very good job of breaking it, almost 8 hours!!!

HEIDI, goad you enjoyed the documentaries on birds, you needed to unstress. Not sure how you live with the stress that is Gil.

JULIE, good luck with the 3 day siminar your club is putting on. I can only imagine how much work is involved. Yes, you will be glad when it is over and you can look back on your success.

JULIE, after being teased with near rain for over 2 days, we had a nice little rain last evening. first a good sprinkle, and a few hours later a real rain, maybe 15 minutes, but that is more than total combined rain in the last 4 weeks! Might get another shot at it this afternoon, another 'frontal boundary' directing rain our way, Hope we get a couple hours worth today. Just checked radar, it seems a light rain has entered the county west of us, headed our way. OK, not a good rain, but any will be better than none.

Cyn, I saw your muffin photo, knew it was bought at a coffee shop, and I wanted muffins. Since there are no nearby coffee shops, in fact i do not know where I would have to go to find such, I did the next best thing, I made a dozen muffins! I had muffin another this morning, too, yummy. BTW, your yellow roses stood out nicely today.

ROLANDA, sorry to hear of the health issues with you. I hope beginning to treat them now will mean it is easier, and keeps you healthy longer. good Luck. I can see why the birthday boy is not overjoyed with the party, since he cannot make it. good way to remember him though. Have fun. Maybe mail him a care package?

HOORAY FOR ROLANDA'S roof!!

Did not finish reading, but must away for a bit. Hugs to each of you, with extras, till later.

We had one 3 minute rain this morning. another rain cloud approaching, hope this one gives us a bit more rain. fingers crossed.

Cooking a stire fry for luch, I had grilled chicken, added peppers, onions, and yellow squash, some garlic, some soy, will serve over rice. I happened to find a package of cooked then frozen rice, so easy lunch. Rice is defrosting as we speak. Strawberries or peaches for desert, have not decided yet.

Hugs, just reporting in without reading, back later.

'Hi Friends look for a surprise soon'

I have looked several times and no surprise yet. Soon could be today, tomorrow or in a few days.

Hello World,
Here I am, in the land of wondeful folks who sure know how to make a person feel special. Your prayers, flowers and wonderful messages sent in great cards certainly went a long way in helping me make a spectacular recovery according to some of my nurses and the doctor.
They said not too many people come through a head on automobile crash, and have respiratory shut down and are intubulated, go on to be able to successfully have the tube taken out after so many weeks without some damage, but it seems that I had so many folks sending God a message that I was a work incomplete and still needed a bit more time, that I was granted an almost complete recovery. Still have to take it easy for awhile, but otherwise I'm in fairly good shape for an old bird....and I have you good folks to thank....
It is so wonderful to get cards from so many folks all over the world and flowers from some and a personal vist from C.P, who made sure to work her way to where I was and spend a small bit of time....don't tell me that 'vitural friends' can't be really true, caring. demonstrotive friends because that has not been my experience. So Suprise folks...I'm back and glad to be among the group again!
Hope you had some good times while I was away...not even going to try to catch up, but will check out different days of the week to try to at least get a feel for what's been going on. Rola, seems like you've been having some health problems...sorry to hear that and am sending hugs and special contact names to hurry it along.
Peace and Love to all.♥

Heidi - if IH did forge your signature and it could be proven a forgery, would you still be liable?
I don't think the banks here would lend just on a signature - the person must sign the document in front of a bank officer.
Correct me if I'm wrong, Aussies, maybe it's just my bank - but I think there are some banking rules that are Australia-wide.

Good Evening, Fellow Sudokuaholics!

Cyn, the problem is that I don't get everything done. I haven't made it to water aerobics in about 2 weeks, and won't again tomorrow, as hubby needs the car to gather some of the tools and equipment for the seminar. Things should slow down a bit for us beginning Aug. 6 (which is D#2's first wedding anniversary). Thank goodness they got married last year, and not this year! As for facebook and here, I'm afraid something is going to need to be eliminated or at least greatly reduced.

Here's hoping Col will make it to Karin's 40th, at least for a while! Does his volunteerism have an end date, or is it until he or you cries uncle and/or puts his foot down and says someone else will need to step up and take the position? BTW, your yellow roses look lovely, Cyn!

Broni, sounds like you have had quite the day and week! Please find some time for yourself!

Excellent advice for Heidi from Broni, Brenda, Suzy and others to notify the bank to require a signature in person for any transactions!

Rolanda, you must be mentally and physically exhausted from sorting & cleaning! It's a huge job. Fortunately it sounds like you're not ding it on your own!

The birthday dinner sounds yummy! Too bad the honoree won't be there, especially if the menu is one he would prefer! Take lots of pictures!

Rolanda, perhaps you and Theresa can share notes on you impending lifestyle changes. I have a feeling similar information may soon be dropped on me.

Hooray for your almost-finished roof, Rolanda!

June, I hope you and Laura enjoy the Disney on Ice show! (That is, of course, if you were both able to get some sleep.)

Tami, thanks for thinking to share the news with Heidi!

And with that, I have caught up to Mamacita's wonderful message. Welcome back, Mama! Dare I say it? Welcome HOME, Mama! This cyber family has truly missed you and feel blessed that you have made so much progress with your recovery! {{{HUGS}}} to you and to Michella for helping us to keep informed on your status and recovery!

Heidi, I hope the bank follows procedures and requires in-person witnessed signing of papers!

I'm glad your friends were able to get enough blackberries for a pie! YUMM!

MizT and Heidi, I'm glad you have had at least a bit of rain, though not nearly enough. We haven't even had a teaser in weeks. I've heard that it's really crucial now when the corn is/should be tassling. It has been a frustrating summer for so many people!

I'm still pinching myself since Mama's return! I can hardly believe it! Mama, you have been missed! Give yourself time to become readjusted and settle in. If we start talking about something that's new to you, please give us a signal that you need more information and we'll do our best to fill you in.

It's almost 1, so I'm headed to the Land of Nod. But first, I have these {{{{{HUGS}}}}}, prayers, positive thoughts and healing vibes to share with everyone! Sleep well!

Afternoon everyone else too!

Heidi, I think it's time to say 'promises only count if both sides keep them'. I couldn't live like you are now... In fact, I don't know how you stay sane..

Julie, sending thoughts that the seminar goes according to plan...

Cyn, I think Heidi has said Gil has done something similar to this before so the laws must be different in the States..

Well I've run out of oomph. We've been working hard getting ready for the party tomorrow. I'm going to have to go back to work for a rest!

Julie.... the corn crops here have already been declared a loss. The tobacco crop is a loss as well. The soybeans look a little better and may survive, since the drought and excessive heat didn't hit them during as crucial a stage. I'm not sure about the hay yet. If there's more growth from this rain (for the next 5 days as well!) there could be another cutting yet this summer. Then there may be enough hay. Otherwise, hay prices this Fall and Winter may go up to $80 a roll, almost triple the normal price. If we don't stop feeding hay now, and then get another cutting, we won't have enough to make it, either. That will mean selling off some cows before hay feeding season begins. I don't want to do that.

At 6 am (still dark), I woke up to a noise in the kitchen. I got up to investigate. It was IH, stuffing his face. I said 'hello, what are you doing up so early?' He started yelling at me, claiming that he was having breakfast, and maybe I should start getting up earlier, too. You all have no idea how badly I wanted to kick him in the b@lls, and say 'Good Morning to you, too.' It's SO pleasant having him around.

Since I'm up so early, I might as well get some krow done. I have to free up the tractor so I can feed hay to the cows.
