Went looking for my avatars, forgot I do not have any on this name, and lost an interesting post also. so just imagine I have a purple avatar, subject of your choice.

Heidi, sorry the family did not stop by the farm, after all that flurry of hard work you did to prepare for them. Hope the back is better with some rest.

Tami, I learned everything I know about quilting with my computer. Online tutorials, patterns, and online quilting friends to ask when I had a problem. So, let me know if you have a problem and i will try to point you in right direction. when is project due?

Sister and her hubby came over today and we finished up the major projects. I have 2 boxes of winter clothing to hang up, and a little box of stuff that goes back into desk, and that is end of boxes!! I have mirrors and photos up, I am a happy camper! Just in time to have my Aussie friends over Wendesday or Thursday for dinner. OH, the table needs putting together, and if I decide to keep the book case, that, but Joy will be over tomorrow night to do the table, yeah!! Cannot believe how quickly we have done this. My family has really worked hard for me. NOW sister is leaving for a week hehehe, but our trips over lap. she is going to GA with her hubby to see how the house building is going. she should have some nice cool weather for cam[ping out and perhaps some fall color up there in the mountains.

After Edna left, I walked over to the common rooms in building one, watched one game of a new to me board game. RummieKub, similar but different from rummie. I was beginning to catch on, was asked to play a game, and did pretty good for a first game. I WON, hehehe. Perhaps not the thing to do on the first game you play??

time to go hold down the recliner, hugs to each of you, with extras. Till later.

Vicki - so true about Optus phones in Tassie, especially over in the west. We lost reception just NW of Hobart, went through to Strahan, then up to Stanley where we got limited reception again. We had a pre-paid Telstra dongle for the laptop and it did work in Strahan but only on the 3G network.

Tricia - so pleased that you have settled in and unpacked so quickly. Rummicub is a good game, we used to play it often at my late MIL's. Just after Col's Dad passed away 26 years ago, Karin and I went and spent a week of the school holidays with her on the farm. We played Rummicub all day, every day, fighting over whose turn it was to make a cup of tea/make meals. It was fun and cheered her up a lot.

Great TOPP, 'It's life Vicki, but not as we know it'

Vicki, know how inconvenient work is!

MizT, you are kicking goals.

Cyn, you brought back memories about vegging out with good friends on the weekend with a dozen video's, plenty of snacks and having to organise loo/tea/coffee breaks around the movies.

Hi, Everyone!

Cyn, what a perfect TOPP on page 516! Thanks!

Before I start with comments, I have a question. I was going to change my avatar, but can't remember how to get to the page. Before we got the new header on the pages, wasn't there a place to click for 'Details' or something like that? I know I'm really tired, but I can't seem to figure out what to click on to get to my avatars. Thanks for anyone who can help!

Cyn, your fault now you have the memories flowing...
The times when were young but old enough to drink and we would get up early Saturday morning and watch 'Hey, Hey It's Saturday' (for the toppsiders, supposed to be a kids program but the innuendo's that went over the innocents heads!!! Yes we were just pups too)drinking Chateau De Cardboard with Orange Juice

Heidi, the actions of the Social Services people is appalling! How awful to be met by a couple carloads of 'officials' trying to make her sign legal documents that she hadn't read! Seems VERY underhanded and illegal. I'm glad Maxine seems to trust you; she at least has one person on her side!

Heidi, after all your work getting everything 'spruced up', what a shame that the family members never got there - all because of a big-screen TV and football games. Then to expect you to bring the food and IH to pocket the money that came out of your pocket! What nerve! Didn't anyone realize that you paid for the food and he was collecting the money?

Theresa, I'm glad you have had some good days with your new orthotics and shoes. I seem to remember that when I got my first orthotics, I was told to wear them only 1 hour a day and gradually work up from there. How thoughtful that you will make your FIL a granny square blanket for Christmas. I hope you're able to finish it on time! If it isn't completely finished, you could at least wrap up as much as is done, so he'll know to expect it as soon as it is finished. Good luck, and pace yourself! I like your idea of a crocheted purple bracelet!

Tami, good luck to you and Mitchell on the family quilt! It's a great idea, but a lot of work.

June, I'm glad the remaining 6 puppies of Belinda's dog seem to be doing well! Has Laura been around such young puppies before? I hope you enjoy your time at Belinda's!

Vicki, it's good to see you here again! We've missed you! Have a wonderful holiday in Tasmania! It sounds like you have lots to do to get ready!

Vicki, thanks for your TOPP quote from Becky Blanton on page 518!

Tricia, you and your family have done an amazing job getting you settled in so quickly! As others have said, you certainly deserve a few good things after the past year and more!

Bean, that beautiful baby of 22 years ago must be your son! Wishing him a Happy Birthday! Here's a cake for him!

Broni, thanks for pointing out the arrow beside my name. I knew I could count on someone to help ease my befuddlement! By the way, I've always liked your 'flying' Bella avatar!

As you can see, this avatar has hearts, one of them purple. I'm going to go back and look for more.

If she turned up with purple knickers on her head, they loudest laughter would be in heaven. Lizzy would get such a kick out of it.
However, it's still probably not a good idea!
Broni - Chateau de carboard on a Saturday morning?? You must have always had a better constitution than me. However I do remember going to a work party, back in the days when the company would pay for everything, and trying every single cocktail on the bar menu, plus some, as well as putting away several glasses of wine. Then the next morning feeling on top of the world. Now I think about it I was probably still intoxicated!!!
Happy Birthday Lachie!

I can't get the picture of Bean-wearing-purple-knickers-on-her-head out of my mind. I think Lizzy would love it, but the rest of the people there wouldn't understand... unless they understood Lizzy really well.

Back from the Dentist's. Only one more appointment, in 4 weeks, to finish up sealing the crown that we drilled through to get to the abscesses.

Good Afternoon All....Like Heidi, I'm having trouble getting the picture of Bean with the knickers on her head...but as Gail suggest that is maay be more seemly to find a scarf ....we don't want to startle the family too much by that scene....yet in a way......hehe.

Hello all.

MizT, I am taking your advice about the statin drug. Like you said, two weeks is not going to make a difference, but I should have some conclusive info for my doctor's appointment later this month. Now I'm wondering how much of the arthritis symptoms in the shoulders and arms might actually not be totally arthritis! Time will tell.

Hi all. Thanks for the birthday wishes. I love having a two day birthday celebration. I am getting a nice present at school tomorrow. One of my biggest pests will be in internal suspension for the day. I don't have to deal with him. Woohoo!!! My parents are taking us out for dinner tomorrow (Oct 2 here). Hubby's birthday is the day after me so we will celebrate both.

Hi folks..
Will pass your greetings on to Lachie..
I rang up his boss and badgered him into giving Lachie a day off... nephew has found someone to replace L'ie tonight. He hasn't had a single sick day since he started 3 years ago. Not sure how impressed 'someone' was at my interferring at the time but he is VERY excited about today now.

While he and vdV were up in the sky on Sunday Jai started the ball rolling at the flight school for ideas for his birthday surprise. By the time he landed she & Pete had jointly purchased an aerial acrobatic flight and deposited the gift certificate on his seat in the car. They presented him with a barth bag when he landed and he was going 'what the heck???' Wish I'd been there to see his face. Trying to decide if i have time to go along for the ride today.. he is so excited and happy.. love is grand..
