I know it isn't 'the done thing' but the undies idea has a grip on me.. was looking at Lizzies gallery last night.. particularly her clown photo's... she would so appreciate the gesture..just thinking like... maybe I could decorate them...turn them into a floral bonnet...

oh dear..wasn't counting..what a way to TOPP the page...[bigrin]..
Maybe a bit of nonsense is just as fitting as a more meaningful phrase.. particularly when one is trying to make sense of the fact that someone such as Liz is no longer with us physically...

I think Lizzy would love a little nonsense at her funeral. Proof that people are celebrating her life and remembering how fun she was. I can't think of a better way to say ''Good Bye'' to her. Other than a rousing rendition of ''See You Later, Alligator'' by Bill Haley and the Comets.

Morning Everyone.
Tricia sounds like you are settling in vewy noicly at the new Abode

Heidi.. Dentist

Theresa, hopefully your health issues are sorted sooner rather then later, hope going 'Statin free' answers some questions.

I have been to the house this morning, hive of activities going on. the Painter (painting the outside), the Electrician, putting in switches, lights, exhaust fans etc..,
This afternoon, the glass splashbacks for behind the Hotplate Cabinet is being installed.
over the weekend, Peter and Boy#1, installed the Shelves and Drawers in the Walk in Robes in our Room, and Storage Cupboard [lots of shelving] in the Robe Recess in Bed 2 (also known as the Bog Swamp, also known as my Sewing/Craft Room)

Yesterday it twas vewy warm, 35C warm, only a few days ago, Thursday in fact, it was around 14C wet, windy, awful cold wintry day..
Today around the mid 20's predicted, with rain the next few days and cooler weather.

Speaking of Crochet, I am into Crocheting of late. Been learning how to do all sorts of patterns, which will turn into a '25 patterned squares' throw for moi. 10 done with 15 to go.
Have joined a 'Crochet Page' on FB, and am learning lots!

Yesterday, I learned that my Auntie (Mum's sister) and Uncle in Holland were in a Car Accident. Auntie is in Hospital with a very swollen, broken bones in the leg.

I hope that your Auntie mends quickly, Rolanda. Broken bones in a very swollen leg are VERY painful.

Any general idea when you might get to move into your new home?

I've had a blah day after the dental appointment. The head has felt fuzzy and heavy all day. So I'm off to bed at an earlier time than usual.

well Heidi.. sooner rather than later would be noice.

Keys end Oct/begin Nov is what we have been told...
~ early last week, the building supervisor said to Peter, possibly Pre Handover in 3 weeks, then keys 2 weeks later..
We would need approx 2-3 weeks of doing stuff before we move in.. lay the main floor area tiles, carpet in the rooms, some more 'cabinet' work / shelving to be done...

That is a close as I can get to a 'move date' at this stage!!

Laura is enjoying watching the puppies.
I brought my reading glasses but not the ones I use on the computer so will no be reading too many comments.

Bean - great idea - I feel we are at an age where we can and should do what we feel like - so if you want to wear your undies on your head - DO IT! Just remember to have a photo taken to show us.... I also wear what I feel like - who else is going to wear out my clothes anyway? Got out of dialysis training early and went to visit a dear friend in palliative care afterwards - it has made me appreciate even more how lucky we are! The sun is shining and it is a good day - except for the fact I am back in the Office supposedly working.

A quick hello to Everyone, and a few comments before I hit the hay. I should be in bed by now as our 'grand-puppy' is visiting and has 'been in bed' in her crate for more than 2 hours. She will likely want to head outside about 6 a.m.

Happy Birthday, Lachie! It sounds like you had a fantastic day!

I'm enjoying my mental picture of Bean with purple knickers as a bonnet! Why settle for a purple scarf? Surely a purple boa would be more appropriate!

Tami, what a a great birthday present - one of the most troublesome NOT in class for the day! Happy Birthday Enjoy dinner (and hopefully dessert) with your parents and family! Also, sending birthday greetings for your hubby!

Heidi, 2 down and 1 to go on your dental appointments for the root canal! Hopefully that tooth will never bother you again!

Theresa, thinking of you as you do your 'trial separation' from a statin drug. Hopefully you will learn something from it and have anecdotal records for your physician!

Bean, what an amazingly great idea they came up with for Lachie's present! He's not likely to forget this birthday!

Bean, I think it's a perfect TOPP!

Rolanda, lots of activity in the new house is a good thing! Sending prayers and healing vibes for a speedy recovery for your auntie and uncle! Looking forward to pictures of your '25 Patterned Squares' throw when it is finished! Good for you for learning to crochet!

June, it sounds like a busy time at Belinda's, but I'm sure Laura is loving all of the puppy time!

Hi, Midge! I'm glad you were able to pop in for a moment while at work! It seems you have had a busy day or two!

Thinking of you and your family, vdV {{{HUGS}}}

Keeping those of you who can honor Liz by being at her funeral/memorial in mind and

I really must head off to bed now. Sending lots of {{{{{HUGS}}}}}, positive thoughts, , healing vibes and prayers for everyone!

Aaaarrrgggh! I sat at McDonalds for 3 hours today and then another hour at the mechanics while I waited for hubby's car to be serviced and a tow bar installed. The worst part was the Woman's Weekly I read at the mechanics - there's an hour I'll never get back!!

I am so far behind on commenting I'm not going to try to capture everything, just bits I can remember...

MizT, your move was amazingly efficient, I wish it was at least pain free.

Bean, no knickers on your head please! Funny, but no... and definitely make time to go with your son on his birthday trip. Nothing is more important - except maybe Lizzy this week.

Turning the page...

Thoughts and wishes to your Aunty and Uncle Rolanda. Glad it wasn't worse!!!

June, you are a great mum.

Midge, what better way to break up a work day could there be than a visit here!

Theresa, I don't know whether to hope stopping the statin drugs makes a difference or not. Their task is so important!

I do a little crochet. I think I sent MizT a heart, at least I meant to, don't know if I actually remembered to put it in the post!

Not sure where that extra m came from in Tami's name
I'm having a wonderful week (not). My left eyelid swelled up dramatically over the weekend. I have had this before and it is nothing to be worried about. Went to the Doctor's yesterday and have some ointment to put on it as it was sore to the touch.
Today has turned into a nightmare first off the microwave is broken, going to replace that later today. Now the washing machine has stopped working, fortunately I managed to get most of the yrdnual done yesterday. Hopefully I can get that sorted out soon. Machine is only 21 months old so I'm not a happy bunny.
something nice did happen yesterday, hubby won some money and has booked a small break away to Breda in The Netherland leaving here on the 5th Nov coming back on the 8th. We will stop off and do some shopping at Calais on the way back. Got to stock up on the vino!

Hello All...Not feeling on top of it today...sinus infection is making life difficult. That being said, as I sit here in front of my computer, I'm wearing pj's a robe and a purple scarf wrapped around my neck...when I get up enough whatever it takes to move me to shower and get dressed, I'll get more formal with the purple...
Tami...More birthday wishes coming your way...also adding some for your hubby...enjoy!

Hi everyone! Hope you're all well today (if not - get better soon! ♥)
Don't know if anyone needs a lift today - if you do please let me know very soon, as I don't want to be late ... Looking at all the things people are going to wear, seems I'm a very boring person, going with the 'ordinary'. Keep remembering my Dad's funeral, when my nephew wore a rather lurid and risque tee-shirt ... people were shocked, but mostly it made us smile.

Hello everyone!! I have been kept informed with things on SA10. Have been busy trying to get into Eastern Star (still--LONG story). Looks like I'll be installed in Salt Lake. Tooele decided all the paperwork I had AND letter from Grand Lodge in SLC was not good enough. There is a sister lodge in SLC (Magna) who are willing to accept ALL my paperwork!!!
Will be lunching with some of the ladies tomorrow and helping with a craft project for a fashion show in mid-October tomorrow night.
I'll be wearing purple tomorrow for Lizzy. So sad!!! Hugs to all, will try to show up more often. Know I think of you all often. I DO see a lot of you on FB.
Take care all, ttfn
