Gekko and Good Evening, All!

Suzy, you had a very productive Mother's Day! It's too bad you couldn't find the plants you wanted, but you certainly made the best of the day! So now you have fewer plants and a LOT more mulch! I bet it looks wonderful! And 2 clean cars to top it off!

June, your Mother's Day also sounds wonderful! It must have been so exciting for Laura to buy the mug for you! Good food and good company and lots of pictures help make memories! What a great day!

Suzy, I hope your baked dinner was wonderful. After all the work, I think you all deserved it!

Gail, I hope you are now feeling better! Being sick in bed is certainly not the preferred way to celebrate Mother's Day!

June, I keep forgetting to ask. How is your friend doing? Thinking positive thoughts!

Alie fed and watered, wood brought into wood box, unmentionables washed, dishes stacked in the dishwasher, plant potted, firebox in position... getting stuff done! Not like me at all!

Theresa, I am so sorry Saturday was so awful! The church must have been packed for you to have to sit in the balcony! At least a lunch was served afterwards; I hope there was something you could eat there! The Mother's Day "Celebration" sounds typical for many guys. Just imagine that it was a football game. They would have been perfectly happy with KFC, maybe a salad, and ice cream from someone's freezer. Since they aren't accustomed to preparing meals, they generally don't have any idea what quantities are needed. At least your hubby didn't let his Mom or sister pay. Why didn't the other guys chip in? I'm guessing money isn't any tighter for them. Since you had to come from more than 1.5 hours away and he's working 2 jobs, couldn't the other guys have done some planning? You're probably right about feeling guilty for not doing the planning. It shouldn't fall on your shoulders, but that's how things get done. I think Suzy's right that it probably wouldn't have bothered you so much without the impact of the last few months. ((((HUGS))))

Suzy, I love your quote! Feel free to use it when you get a TOPP!

Gail, Broni and Brenda, I hope you are all feeling better! This is not the time of year to be getting sick.

Suzy, I hope Alie is feeling better, too! You're probably right. She may have overdone!

Theresa, I hope you will have a chance to visit your home town on a happier and less hectic weekend!

MizT, I'm sorry that your Mother's Day was not happier! Remember, each of us has 2 shoulders, so there are plenty to share the burden. Hopefully it didn't get too hot, but at least it sounds like you were ready with the air conditioner if needed! ((((HUGS)))) to you and Al!

Tami, I hope your Mother's Day brunch went well! Happy Mother's Day to your Mom!

June, when Heidi mentioned Laura and said, "It sounds like she has a heart as big as the whole outdoors," I realized that she has learned from you and all you do for others! I'm not sure if I've ever known anyone as thoughtful and giving as you.

June, sending warm and positive thoughts and prayers to you and your niece and her family! How awful to lose a child - and at such a young age! Thinking of all of you! As MizT said, remember that we are all here for each other and offer our shoulders to share your burden. What a tragic accident!

Broni, get better soon! That's way too much to be dealing with. One ailment at a time, please.

Suzi and Theresa (and MizT the other day), gardening can be quite therapeutic. I hope it helps you all to deal with whatever is on your mind but doesn't cause any aches and pains!

Rolanda, what a wonderful Mother's Day and Birthday combination you had! So glad for you! (I see you were right about the assorted cheeses!) Sounds wonderful!

Suzy, definitely a "busy beaver" kind of day! (So was yesterday, if I recall.) I hope Alie is feeling better!

I think I'm going to head to bed shortly. Sending , prayers, positive thoughts and ((((HUGS)))) for everyone! Be sure to take as much as you need, as it's a self-replenishing supply! Enjoy the rest of your day/evening/night! Good Night from here!

If the naughty corner has a couch, pillows and a blankie, I will go there gladly...but my pathetic sniffle pale in comparison.

June, I am crying, let alone sick to my stomach. My heart is breaking for your niece ♥

Gail, Broni and all not feeling well GET WELL SOON.
I am walking around like a zombie. Just too much in my life at the moment to come to grips with. I have a dental appointment in an hour. Lost two fillings in the last couple of weeks.
I did get a lot of stuff in the green bin this morning. So much needs doing in the garden at the moment.

Dag I know you too well to believe a pathetic sniffle would lay you up in bed, just hope Mr. Gail doesn't get it. I will join you in the naughty corner if it has all that but you forgot the comfort food so I will bring it along with the hot toddies.
June, sounds like you need some 'me' time young lady.
Zusy, stop swearing!!!

Someone asked if I felt better and I couldn't remember what I was supposed to be feeling better from - light bulb! The aches from yesterday! All gone except for some muscle spasms in my lower back when I bend... So I'm not bending much!

Front tooth fixed. Did not need a needle and would have been quite relaxing only they kept spraying water onto my face. The back one will be done in three weeks but will involve a cap so not quite as 'comfortable' as today and it will also make a big dent in the credit card!

Foolish, selfish people are always thinking of themselves and the result is always negative. Wise persons think of others, helping them as much as they can, and the result is happiness. Love and compassion are beneficial both for you and others. Through your kindness to others, your mind and heart will open to peace.

Morning all. Well, it's Monday again!

Thinking of all of you. June, you do so much fot others, I know this personally. Wish I could do something to ease the burdens you bear.

I didn't get yard work done yesterday - hopefully today. My shoulder and arm were too sore and I didn't want to aggravate it. Ran the sloshy thing instead and got all the cat blankets and beds washed. At this time of year they lose a lot of fur.

Catch you all later - hugs to everyone.

June, sometimes numb is best ♥

Dag, you are right, it is a little more than a sniffle. It has blown out to a chest infection that I thought I was able to stay on top of, but it has got the better of me. Off to see the doc in the morning, and yes...hubby has got it! I think I suffer them worse though because of my asthmatic lungs, but luckily it is not affecting my breathing this time.

I made three date and nut loaves and three jars of lemon curd for the stall tomorrow. We had lamb curry for dinner using the left over lamb from yesterday. It is a hard week as they have brought the PET scan for my friend forward and that is on Wednesday and she will see the results on Thursday. It has taken over three weeks to get these appointments. We already know the cancer is back. Yes I do have a lot on my mind.

Morning all,
We are all broken hearted, big time, but we need to keep posting. This is a place we come to when he are happy and want to share our news, worried and want to vent, sad and need a shoulder, or just to visit our friends. The show must go on! That is how we can best help our friends who are going through tough times. If we vanish when people tell us worrying news, people will stop telling us their news.. and then where will they vent?

D needs to get this notebook back for the evening. Her computer has a virus that she believes was caused on Facebook. Someone sent her a note saying she was tagged in an album. When she clicked on the picture, a picture of a nude woman popped up and her computer started doing strange things.

Hopefully I will "see" you all tomorrow. Love and hugs to you all.

Just got back from the sale barn. I dropped Sassy off. Sassy is a cow that was born here in 1996. She was a twin that mama rejected ( Every other year her mama had twins: a red one and a black one. She always rejected the red one) and we bottle raised. She's been a wonderful cow, giving us a total of 13 calves over the years. And always acting like the pet she was... letting us pet her and scritch her whenever we were in the pasture. For the last year, she's been acting her age with lots of arthritis. She aborted her calf this year, has lost a lot of weight, and now has problems with founder (inflammation in the hooves). She was only going to go downhill, so she got sent off to the buyers for McDonald's. I hate to sell Sassy, but I have to be realistic.

I have a horse that likes to play with sprinklers. He picks them up in his mouth and sprays the other horses with it.

Lol Heidi! I'd love to see that! Nomnom used to stalk the water when I hand watered my trees and I thought that was funny - picking it up and spraying other horses would be hilarious!

Sorry about Sassy Heidi. Realism doesn't always feel good.
