Finally finished putting a small selection of photos from Egypt. Took two goes to get the comments in the last lot. Find I cannot do more than 5 at a time. Picked ones that may be of interest and hopefully a bit different to the norm. Still have to do some of Jordan. Also I must do some different ones to submit for the puzzles.

I'll look at your photos a little later, June.

The mechanic looked at the tractor. A lot of bad news, and only a little good. The good part is that it wasn't my fault. The bad news is that it's something serious like a chipped gear, and he's got such a backlog of work that it'll be about 2 weeks before he can work on it. Meanwhile, the tractor does run after a fashion, and if I take it carefully, I can still feed hay with it.

Hello all, just popping in.
Heidi, sorry about the tractor!
Happy Birthday Judy.
I have my youngest grandie here for a little while because her mom needs some sleep ... she works a 12 hour day tomorrow. My grandie is currently going through grandma's button jar. Does anyone else have a button jar or am I the only one who hangs onto useless things? Well, it has come in handy today, but not for the purpose it was intended.
Love your photos, June. I will never be able to do the travelling you do, so it's nice to travel in my mind through your pictures. Thanks!!!
Congrats on your computer, Gail.
Well, time to get back to reality and do a bunch of ffuts. Catch you when I get another chance.

June, did you see the news story last year about the woman who sued her neighbours because the noisy frogs that got into their pond caused her husband to die of cancer by keeping him awake all night and were now making him sick? It takes all kinds...

Gail, what a wonderful hubby!

Heidi, bad news about your tractor! I agree about being relieved when you find out it isn't your fault... makes it a little easier to take doesn't it?

Theresa, I have a button jar, a button box, sorted buttons.... I used to make and sell cushions with buttons on them. I also have tins with all kinds of useful things in them.

Off to look at June's photos...

Hello, Everyone! Looks like I disappeared last night without saying Good Night. Sorry about that!

Hello, Heidi, Suzy, Victoria/Vicky, MizTricia, Rolanda, Gail, June (since my last post on p. 124)!

Vicky, I've noticed the same thing about drivers - if you allow a little extra room between you and the car in front of it, some jerk just HAS to squeeze in without warning - or even enough room. I hope your outing tonight is enjoyable, in spite of having to be out and drive in the rain and wind!

Rolanda, I would so gladly send you some of our snow - which would undoubtedly be rain by the time it got to you - if you'll trade us some sun for a couple of days! Come on, Everybody, send positive vibes for a nice gentle refreshing rain for Rolanda!

Gail, what a SUPER hubby! Your fingers hardly had time to rest between the old pooter and the new pooter! Special date night this week?

June, I'm so glad the pictures AND explanations are finally working! You're so considerate to do this repeatedly for us!

Suzy, how are you feeling - back's much better I hope! Is this another busy week for you and the girls?

Tami, I hope the allergies/congestion are much better today!

Heidi, I hope your back is better and your tractor is getting serviced today! When is your epidural? I hope all is well with the calves and their mommies!

Empty house!

Julie, my back is much better thank you. I hope your evening is fun and interesting!

Vicky, it took me 9 months after moving to LA to use the freeway to get to work. The idea of cars travelling at 60mph only a car length or so apart was terrifying! I got used to it in the end though.

Good Morning everyone! It's just started raining again. We've had plenty now. I just need to blow it west to Rolanda.

Suzy, I think that's how the cars travel on the M1 to the Gold Coast - 110kph and so close to each other.

Judy, I hope you have a wonderful day.

I am going to bed early. The allergies from yesterday weren't really allergies. It was a cold in disguise. My head is all stuffy and with the big state test next week I can't take time off. I will just have to get my rest as I can. At least my kids at school behaved for me today. I will try to stop in tomorrow.

Hi vdV... Can I stow away? Wouldn't mind nipping up to LA to visit the rellies...

Tami, I hope you feel better soon! I can't imagine supervising revision and tests with a head cold - uncomfortable would be an understatement.

Vicky, I drove in Sydney for several years before I moved to LA, but hate driving there now - feels like dodgems!

Listening to Ally sing again. I keep trying to hear if she's really any good or not, but have decided I'm pretty much incapable of being objective.

Suzy... what I've heard of her singing IS good. Granted, she's not the greatest voice in history, but she is pleasant to listen to. And I have a sensitive ear. I grimace and cringe when a note is missed, or tempo is messed up. Besides, she seems to enjoy singing, and that joy comes through in her voice.

You're right Heidi, she LOVES to sing, and she's gained a lot of confidence. I just wonder if I should be spending more money and time on it or just leave things the way they are. It's so easy to just let things slide.

Guess I should explain that. She is going through a phase of wanting this to be her future, which many 13 year olds probably do.

A new heifer calf. I found her when she was still wet and covered in afterbirth. I tagged her and watched her get to her feet and nurse. It's always such a miracle to watch.

Finally back, but not for long. When we got home, we found a phone message from our acupuncturist asking is to be there by 9, instead of about 9:45 tomorrow morning.

Hello, June, Gail, Brenda, Heidi, Theresa, Suzy, Victoria/Vicky, Tami the Troublemaker, vdV, and Judy!

June, thank you again for your diligent efforts to get photos and comments posted for us. (I still haven't ever figured out how to post a photo. Maybe one of these days.) I hope to have time to look at your photos tomorrow!

Gail, how is the new pooter?

Oh, dear, Heidi, at least the tractor's problem isn't your fault and you can still gently use it. Unfortunately the wait to get it done and the cost aren't such good news.

Theresa, thanks for mentioning your grandie and the button jar! It brought back memories! My Mom had a button box and a button jar (fancier ones in the aluminum box). I haven't thought about them in years! I wonder which of the six of us got them? I hope you're able to get lots done!

Suzy, do you have any photos of the cushions with buttons on them?

vdV, thanks for the fly-by! Have a safe and enjoyable trip to San Diego next week!

Have a good night of sleep (I hope), Heidi! I'm sorry you need to get up so early (and you're a night person) tomorrow to go for your epidural. And I was complaining about having to be up to 7 to go for acupuncture. I think it wouldn't be so bad if I could get a decent night's sleep.

Tami, I'm sorry to hear that the allergies are a cold, after all! Get lots of rest and vitamin C (and of course, chicken soup)!

I've been sneezing a LOT since about 4 this afternoon. Tami, did you share your cold?

Gotta run and ice my knees for a few minutes for bed. Good Night, All!

Judy, age isn't an excuse for forgetfulness - kids are to blame!

Heidi, that would have been amazing. I bet you are looking forward to the epidural tomorrow after your recent fall.

Julie, how are your exercises etc going? Are you being good? It sounds like your knees are keeping you awake at night. Sending snooze dust through the cyber waves....

Good Afternoon All.
Judy, hope you have a wonderful day.
Julie, thanks for the update.
Heidi, miracle indeed, how are you going to be able to check the cows after your epidural?
Zusy, think you are doing enough already with Ally, as you said she is gaining confidence and enjoying it, when she wants to drop some other activities to spend more time on her singing think that would be a sign. My two cents worth!
3 or 4 more days until I get my internet allowance back! Never going to let this happen again it is killing me!
Love and Hugs to you all.

Broni, I've decided to leave things alone for now. Her singing teacher doesn't go into the Navy for a little while, could be 2 or 3 months, so I will procrastinate making a decision until the last minute!

Hubby and I spent the day pottering in the yard again. We dug up a couple of monsteras that weren't doing well in the garden and potted them into large pots...we'll see what happens. We also repotted a few other things. Basically just enjoying each other's company.

Rolanda, in my thoughts for tomorrow.

Gail, that is exactly why you have a good marriage, you enjoy spending time with each other doing, what could be classed as, mundane tasks around the house.
On top of that you are helping plants too :-)

You're right Brenda, we are blessed that we love the same things (mostly) and are quite happy just to be together doing mundanery.
Even when we started the business back in 2000, it was just him and me, together at the factory day in, day out with nary an argument between us, so really, we were together 24/7. Then I left the business, and now he is hands-off and others run it, so we are back to being together most of the time...except when it's girly lunchtime!
