Hi, again! I'm back for a few minutes.
Hello, Bean, Heidi, Gail, Tami the Troublemaker, Theresa, Suzy, Victoria, June, and Rolanda!
Bean, it's good to have you back with us again! It seems that you're getting some cooler autumn temperatures. I hope you enjoy the work in the garden! I've seen a gardener's seat on wheels type of thing on U.S. websites. Some of them seem pretty low - like maybe about 12 inches or so. Undoubtedly you'll be able to find something there.
Heidi, the pampas grass will be so pretty - while being good hiding for the pheasants. Can't wait to see pictures - also of the all-temperature banana tree!
Gail, seems like you've hit on a good planting method! It makes sense that those tender transplanted roots need a bit of help before they have to deal with the clay! Now I need to track down Tahitian Bridal Veils. You plant corn?! How many rows do you plant in order to get pollination?
Theresa, I hope you were able to get lots of work done!
Victoria, I hope you enjoyed your weekend! I wonder if there is anything genetic in liking or disliking bananas. The one or two people I've known who dislike them seem to REALLY dislike them!
Suzy, that will be great if you can share photos & videos!
June, I really enjoyed the tiger photos you've uploaded! They really appear docile. I'm not sure I could be comfortable enough to pet them.
Welcome back, Rolanda! Sorry to hear the temperatures were too hot. At least you enjoyed yourselves!
Add us to the list of those who never had a water bed, by the way.

June, they are great photos. I'd love to scratch a tigers tummy and have it purr/growl.
Glad you had a great weekend Rolanda. It sounds like a unit would be much nicer if it is always that hot on your March weekend.
Suzy and Heidi, I hope you are feeling better after your falls.
We owned a water bed. I loved it but hubby found it too cold even though he slept over the heater. When it sprung a slow leak we never bought another one.

Hi to everyone on this page.
Nice cooler day here and raining.
Had a stinker of a headache this morning and did not get up until hubby came home from lunch.
Hope I am okay tomorrow as John will be 73 and I want to stay for lunch with him at Cafe 66.
We also have some friends from Victoria in town and I think we are going out with them Wednesday night.Hubby has to have a crown done Thursday at 5pm, that is costing $1,300 !!! Ouch.
Dental work is so expensive.
Nice to see you back June, I must check out your pictures.
Love it Victoria. U are a banana bender but do not eat them.
Like my brother the surfer, but he hates sand. he hehhe
Hope you are feeling better after your fall Heidi.
Speaking of Tahitian Bridal Veils Gail.
I paid $17 for a beautiful one.
Hung it out in the front garden. The other day
we had 34c and it fried it.
I had to cut it right back to the pot edge.
Arrghgh and it was looking so beautiful.

Oh this turned up on the next page I see, so hello to all on Page 123 which is where I was when I started typing the post.
Have never had a water bed here either.
Yes the Tahitian Bridal Veil is a lovely hanging plant but does need water constantly I found.
Welcome back Rolanda. Your hot weather is hanging on I see. We have some relief today which is great.

Hi Viv, great to see you! A surfer who hates sand? Now that has to be a first...
I don't think I can share videos :-( Can't get the same message as I do for the photos. It says something about embedding, but I think that's just for fb.
Off to look at June's photos, then I might have a rest. I've been running around getting the kids where they have to be and now I'm owey again. Whimp!!!!!!

I am frustrated. I have done some of the photos of Egypt. Twice I have gone through and done long descriptions and when I have finished the descriptions have been lost.
They will have to wait till tomorrow afternoon before I do them again. About two hours work lost. They do not mean much without titles.

Suzy, the tigers were all just lying about, either overfed or something they are fed. The keepers took the photos so were were not allowed to get right up in front of them. Sometimes they had the camera about 12 inches from their face.

Victoria, I am glad to know that I am not the only person who thinks bananas are disgusting. I don't like to look at, smell, or be near them. I will buy them for hubby and beastie #2.
June, looking forward to seeing the pictures.
Have to go to work now, be back later.

It sounds like I'm in the minority. I love bananas.
I love the flavor, texture and the fact that they're so high in potassium. But don't "they" say "You are what you eat"? I've always been a bit bananas.

Morning all!
Rolanda, your trip sounds like a lot of fun, even if it was too hot. An air conditioned cabin.... hmmm.... sounds loverly!
June, I read an article written by someone who worked with the tigers as a sort of 'guest' for a while and she said they definitely weren't drugged, just very well fed. I don't think I'd mind not standing in front of them!

Hi there everyone.
I have enjoyed catching up with reading and seeing June's pix.Do those big cats purr and why are they so sleepy? They are very beautiful!
Tami...How is your Dad going now?
I love bananas and have lady fingers growing behind the shed.Very messy though and need the dead leaves cut off all the time.
We have had water beds for over 20 years now.I just love being able to melt into it.Greg would rather the mattress type but I wont part with it until I can't get out of it anymore.
Must get a move on now.Take care everyone.

Hello all. For the next week or so I have some really tight deadlines and doing some extra babysitting of the grandies. So I won't be around as much (hey, do I hear someone saying Yahoo???). I will try and pop in occasionally.
BTW I too love bananas, but for some reason they give me heartburn.
Off to fling food as Tami would say. I worked all last night and got very little sleep today, so it will be a very early night for me.
Stay well or get better everyone!

Yes Vicki just still morning here!
I love bananas also, but they just don't seem the same anymore like a lot of fruit it either ripens too quickly or never ripens at all.
Using the work computer so will go and look at June's photos.

Hello, again, Everyone! I have a little bit of time, so will try to read & comment!
Greetings to Rolanda, Victoria/Vicky, Vivacious Viv, Suzy, June, Tami the Teasing Troublemaker, Heidi, Brenda, Nola, Theresa and Broni!
Rolanda, we're so glad you're back and all in one piece, even though you had those warm temperatures to deal with!
V Viv, I hope the bit of extra sleep improved your headache! I hope John has a nice birthday and you enjoy lunch together, then out with friends Wednesday night. You're mighty busy! How very interesting that your brother enjoys surfing but dislikes sand!''
June, I'm sorry the uploading of photos & explanations isn't working properly! You're so thoughtful to include the explanation so we can enjoy your vacation too!
Brenda, I didn't know dogs eat bananas. I don't think I would have thought to give bananas to a dog. But then, one of our cats likes fresh spinach, so I guess there's no telling what an animal might or might not eat until you try. BTW, add 2 votes in favor of bananas for my hubby and me.
Heidi, I hope using the tractor isn't causing further damage, but you really can't feed the hay without it. Hopefully the tractor repairman will find something minor and inexpensive to fix! Keeping fingers crossed for the canary eggs to hatch!
So glad you could stop by, Nola! Be sure you're taking care of yourself in addition to family, work and study!
Theresa, be sure to take good care of yourself, including eating well and trying to get enough sleep during the next week or so while you have so many work deadlines! I hope the grandies make your babysitting time enjoyable and not too tiring! Pop in for a quick hello when you can!
Victoria/Vicky, how nice that it's a bit cooler and you're getting some rain. The link about the raining fish in the Northern Territory mentioned that Queensland would be getting rain. Apparently, the rain clouds have run out of fish by the time they got to you.
Broni, have you seen any fish falling from the sky?
Suzy, other than doing a lot of driving, how is everything going? I hope you're feeling better!

Afternoon all!
Theresa, I hope you meet all your deadlines and enjoy your time with your grandies AND manage to fit some sleep in somewhere!
Vicki, I usually enjoy watching the rain fall too. We've had so much of it though I'd gladly share it around to others who need it.... that even though I don't know how much of our rain has fallen in the catchment areas.
Broni, I have noticed that about fruit too. It isn't lasting as long as isn't quite as yummy. Well, except for mangoes. They're always yummy.
Tami, I hope your allergies improve and you feel better.
Julie, I enjoyed the link about raining fish. Isn't it amazing when we read something in here about our own countries from someone who lives in another country? I am feeling much better today, just little twinges. In fact I am feeling so much better I decided to torture myself and use my least favourite thing on the planet - the hot slidy thing!!!
Heidi, I hope your back is a bit better. I know you have some seriously strong pain killers but I also know they don't always work!

I was following the police warning this morning about "slowing down in the wet" on my drive to work. I left a gap between me and the car in front and everytime I did some one pulled into it (generally without indicating).
Do they only do that to Corolla drivers? or are some people just plain ignorant/stupid?
It's started raining again. We had a break for a while but now the wind is picking up as well.
I don't want to go out tonight! I cancelled last nights activity because it was too wet. I went grocery shopping instead. Tonight I have to go out.

Rain seems to be the topic and we are having our share at the moment. this is a long rain event for us, will rain overnight and mush of tomorrow. Hope it stays a gentle soaking rain, not a flooding kind. Rain just might turn to snow, well snow might hit the ground. Forecasters at 10 pm said it was snowing aloft, and melting as it neared the ground, that was why radar showed it to be raining much harder than it actually is. I learned something new today!
When I was in that room flinging food tonight I managed a nice meat loaf, hubby was happy, and he had mac and cheese to go with, one of his favorite meals! No mac and cheese for me, his came from a box, I would have to make mine from real cheese and whole wheat noodles, was glad to make him happy with the box kind hehehe.
Vicky, same thing happens here, you leave a safe distance and someone jumps in every time. I am glad I do not have to do the rush hour traffic in the rain and such any more, it is nice driving our country lanes.
Heidi, how were the cows? Is it still mud season at your house? I do not think this rain/snow event is going as far north as you is it?
Rolanda, glad you are safely home and had a good time except for the much too warm weather.
Suzy, hope a good portion of the rain fell in the catchment areas, so the water restrictions can be eased somewhat.
Broni good to see you dropping in on the work computer till you get your new month of minutes back again.
TAMI, hope the head is less stuffy tomorrow, sleep well.
JULIE, how was the gym today? wish I could find one near us that would accept my insurance, heck, there is not even one near us! My health insurance will pay toward a membership as part of thier wellness program, I would love to find one with a pool and water exercises. No xuch luck in the boonies. Maybe I can find a livestock watering pond and do my own water exercises hehehe.
NOLA, I think I might could manage to tend the banana plants if they gave me bananas, love them! Hubby would be expecting banana pudding every day and 8i would not have an excuse not to make it hehehe.
Gail, would love your problem with to many tomatoes in the garden, love my tomatoes too. I could eat one just sliced at every meal easy and I use a LOT in cooking.
OK, time for bed, I get to listen to the pitter patter of the rain on the roof to lull me to sleep. Night night all.
