Oh, the doctor came while we were visiting and she was rude too. Strange how adults can treat a child that way. She must be really really rotten...

Suzy, of course it is his writing hand. He should be fine by the time he goes back to school. We are on spring break until April 6, not that I am trying to brag.

Good Maen everyone...LONG night last night, winds kept blowing & Darrell has been coughing from allergies the last couple of weeks (me too, but his sounds like it's coming from his feet). My cough has subsided. Going to TRY to convince him to take a sick day & go to the doctor. (wish me luck!!)
Thanks folks for the advice on Facebook. I am going to join it because my graduating class is getting ready for its 30th reunion this year--yikes!!!

Greetings Sudokuland, another day starting cool and warming to spring. Not as windy today, either, gonna be a good day weather wise.

I do need to get to town today, I need to visit bank and go to library, plus a couple other errands.

the sloshy thing is going this morning, and the hot spinny thing also. I washed shirts one day this last week, dried them but forgot to hang them so I had to rum on the wrinkle away cycle and hang them. If the temps continue to climb as forecast, hubby will not be needing those flannel shirts by end of week.

Suzanne, you do have a lot of trouble sleeping don't you? Hope the winds and cough are gone by tonight and you get in your prefered number of winks.

Tami, enjoy your spring break. will you use your day at Disney during spring break? Or save it for a time not as crowded as I imagine this week will be??

Suzy, which "she" is rotten? I also am uspet at any doctor telling any patient " it is all in your head". I was treated like that for years, because of fibromyalgia pain, long before it was recognized. Yep, come to find out it was in my head, but not imaginiary, but brain chemicals reacting out of proportion to the pain stimulus. Doctors blame patients far too often for their own short comings. I hope this young lady can find relief from her headaches.

YES, I do wish we had an EDIT for correcting mistakes we see after we send. There has been no alcoholic beverages involved with the chores this morning, I promise. It is possible, I visit another board where any member can edit their own post for spelling and make any changes they want. A little note comes up, " post last edited" and a time stamp and an option for including reason for the edit. The technology is available.

Gail... how did you solve the undie mystery? Apparently, nobody did a Gil. When he travels, he doesn't like to cart around dirty undies, so he throws them away. Then he complains that I don't keep him supplied in clean undies.

Heidi: I understand what you mean, but just because I'm on fb, doesn't mean I won't be here, just looking for classmates for 30th reunion & former co-workers (already found a few). Also, some of the chats here are a lot better!!

Morning all!
Heidi you sound like easy complaining about SA!

MizT, the young girl must be really rotten. The looks she got from the doctor and the nurse would have made me shrivel into a ball if they'd been directed at me. I have no doubt she is a difficult patient, and I have no doubt her mother is being difficult trying to get someone to take her seriously - I would be! I just can't get those 'looks' they gave her out of my head. If she cries because they hurt her they tell her to stop it, or cut it out, probably with the same looks...

Tami, spring break is definitely something to brag about!!! I hope you are having a relaxing time and not having to spend it catching up on home work (pun intended!)

Suzanne, wishing you luck getting Darryl to the doctor. Men can be so stubborn about that! Mine broke a tooth last week and hasn't even called the dentist yet...

Brenda, I loved the article! Except I should have stopped reading half way - before they got to the bit where they said one square a day....

I don't run the sloshy thing anywhere as much as I should. The pile of dirty clothes is so big that it could have its own zip code. I tend to wash stuff only as needed.

I have received the first 2 assignments back and had to re-submit the easy one because of the referencing. Am waiting on tender hooks for the next 3.We have 3 days in Rockhampton from the 20th-23rd for exams and oral presentations.Getting worried that I won't remember anything!
All I seem to do is assignments, work, sleep and eat.
Very little housework so no one pop in for a coffee, actually am nearly out of coffee.
Hubby helps but he never sees the little things.

Our pile was huge during all the rain.We actually got sick of it....way too much rain.

Nola!!! I think about you and miss you!!!

I hated that referencing thing - every lecturer seemed to want it done a different way! They gave us a link to a 30 page document that told you all the different ways to do it - and it felt like it was in Greek! I ended up just copying whatever the references looked like that the lecturer had used in his notes. Sometimes I lost marks because the lecturer wasn't the one marking the paper, but I didn't care so long as I passed...

Hi Suzy. We are having the same problem where the lecturer isn't marking the assignments.Makes it hard when they have different opinions.

It sure does! People who had breezed through kept telling me that the way to get good marks was to regurgitate the lecturers opinions whether you agreed with them or not - doesn't work if they don't mark the paper!!

We have days and days of rain forecast. Not heavy rain that will cause flooding, but rain that will make it hard to get the clothes dry...

I only had one exam and was absolutely terrified! It had been way too many years since I'd had to do an exam, and even more since I had done an essay based exam! I must have done okay though as I got a good result overall - never did find out my exam mark.

Good morning.
Heidi, I joined FB but it has made no difference. I just look at my page and laugh. I have all these animals, gold coins and things and I have not looked at one game. My daughters play my page as well as their own!
It rained here yesterday and overnight. I also have a pile of things building up in the room out the back. They will have to go in the sun room to dry as I need some of the things for next week. We are going to Bright (Victoria) with our Probus group. (A club for retired people). It is a very pretty area. The blurb for the motel does not does not mention Internet, although I will take my little notebook just in case!

Hi all. Just stopping in for a minute.
Suzanne, Passover started last night. Last night I cooked for the family. Tonight we are having friends and one cousin over. Cousin couldn't come last night. Tonight should be very relaxing and fun. Tomorrow morning I am being kidnapped, still have no idea where we are going, just that it is no boys allowed.

Zusy, I have no homework to do. The new marking period starts when we get back. I go back on tuesday 4-6 and on wednesday will be on a field trip for most of the day. Should be an easy first week back.

Yay! No homework! What do you wish people at Passover? Merry Passover just doesn't seem to work.

This is Ally's status on facebook - I asked her if it was from a book or a song and she said, Na, I just made it up because I wanted something in my status.

the world get colder and colder till you cant feel the cold anymore.... the sky is yellow and the grass is white, frozen by the breath of midsummer air. clouds are tumbling over like a blanket over a sick child as it longes for warmth once more. The light turns black and world as we know it end for all eternity....

Heidi, was that the story that said that the flooded area is half the size of Europe? Incredible to imagine! And if I understand it correctly (I'm not sure that I do), most of the flooded area is not getting excessive rain, the water has actually moved there from other areas.

I have been gnilaelc my fridge as there was a suspicious odour coming from it. I found a couple of nasty things hidden way at the very back!!! ewewewewewew, vanilla spray and wipe coming up!
