WARNING - Foul Language
I have had such an exciting day!!! My fridge no longer smells of forgotten left-overs and the inside is about as clean as the inside of a 15 year old fridge gets, and I have some clothes hanging under cover where there is a slight chance they will dry. In a day for firsts I also bathed Shadow's eyes and put drops in them and climbed onto the patio roof with a huge lump of wood to make a temporary repair so the dogs would stay dry. Now I have about an hour until I have to get myself ready to pick up a friend's girls and get them to wear they need to be as she is off having surgery (the one with the cancer cells having a hysterectomy). So what do I do with this time? Do I push the hot slidy thing or the sucky thing around? Do I pull out a wet sloshy thing and push it around the floor? Or do I sit around eating lunch and doing nothing?? Guess?

Suzy, I promise not to grade you on spelling errors. Glad you had a great day.
Heidi, how is everything on Surreal Farm, any more new babies?
Roland, how are you doing today? Hope your mum is feeling better.
Nola, hope the afternoon shift goes smoothly.
If there is anyone else I forgot, I give my deepest apologies. I am all packed and ready for my kidnapping tomorrow. I don't think I will have computer access so I will tell you all about it on Thursday or Friday.

SUZY, I hate when things go to the back, dark recesses of the fridge to die! I just had to do the same, some ground meat from before we got this tummy bug was several days past it's use by date and it was horrid, even through a plastic bag, I could smell it. Vanilla, now that is a nice scent for a fridge. I used a " green apple" scent cleaner in mine.
Al and I went for a short drive today, and it was lovely. The red bud trees are in bloom, some later blooming daffodils, forsythia, quince, and saucer magnolia. NO dogwood open yet, but with 3 days of far above average temps forecast, there is hope for them yet. I did see a couple of pastures with early greening grass, how lush and lovely that looked.
We did not make the other errands, Al's friend came over and helped him with the shop work Al had planned for the day. No charge, just cause he knows how sick Al has been, a good neighbor kind of thing. Nice to have friends like that.
I actually went into the K room and flung a simple meal for tonight. Now must wait for hubby, a customer phoned just as I was about to ring the dinner bell. good thing it can hold a while.
I need to go back and look at the link that was posted, a flood the size of half Europe? that is a lot of water. There is flooding forecast for the northeast USA again. One person interviewed in story I read was removing several thousand dollars of new electronics and phone equipment from his business. It had just been installed after flooding 2 weeks ago, and they are forecast again. The man said it had been a hard 2 weeks and looked as if it were starting again.
HI NOLA, good luck on your exams, I know you will do well, you have studied, know the material, just go do it.
Suzy, good question about what you wish someone who is celebrating passover.

After dinner, we watched another movie. I am getting spoiled, my recliner, my glass of iced tea, and movies. I almost look forward to a night of reruns so hubby finds us something to watch.
We had salmon patties for dinner tonight, the kitties were outside when I started making them, soon I had both of them underfoot, they can smell a tin of salmon from down the street I do believe. Each kitty had her kitty bites, the bones and skin and water the fish was packed in, couple of happy kitties here. Dinner had more taste than it has had in a while, I did enjoy eating tonight.
Heidi, congrats on the baby finches. How many have successfully hatched since you had them? Did you get the cows sorted, for the ones you were going to sell other day?
Rolanda, sorry to hear your mom continues with her little heart attacks. I do hope they can treat them and stop them. I know this is emotionally draining on you, worrying about her.
Suzy, will not comment on spelling, I cannot type "their" correctly. my brain says it right, but my fingers type thier every time, and spell check puts a red line and I correct it. My cross wired brain somehow. I also cannot get the " in the correct place, I put a space between it and the word. But It is readable, all that matters, right?
OK, about bedtime here, hope I can sleep all night tonight. I have not been doing so good lately, sleep about 3 hours, up in middle of night, then sleep another 4 or so in the morning. Good thing I do not have to be anywhere mornings.
Hugs to all and catch you tomorrow.

Hi everyone. I finally made it here today. It's the end of the month and all the reports and statements have now been finished. We are also sending out a notification to our customers that we are having a price reduction. They will all be happy.
I've been busy. I had to go out for our Easter rehearsals last night and dinner was nearly ready when I left - just the pasta to be made. By the time I got home at 10pm I wasn't interested and went to bed without dinner. I was starving at lunch time today, though (I did have breakfast).
I'm looking forward to lunch time on Sunday because by then I will have fulfilled all my obligations to everyone else this easter. Tonight I need to buy groceries if my family wants to eat over the next few days.
Tomorrow evening is my church's Maundy Thursday dinner (roast lamb - I'm one of the chief organisers of the night) followed by Good Friday service (I'll be operating the computer). Saturday is taking my mother shopping and spending the day with her. Sunday is the Easter service (on the computer again) and then ME time.
You can see how excited I am about the whole thing - I can't wait until it's all over. However, there is lots of chocolate at my house. Bags and bags of mini eggs in lots of different flavours - caramel, maltesers, white, peppermint, turkish delight and my familys' favourite the Cadbury Creme egg.
I guess I'll need to get in lots of exercise as well.
Oh well, I've had my break and now it's time to go back to work.
See you all later.

Hi all.
We have had another one of those 'running all over the city' errand days! Hubby and I had to drive into the city to have his car finally assessed as to the extent of damage from the hail storm. This was done by the manufacturer because the insurance assessor said it was too close for him to call, was 50/50 whether it could be fixed or have to be written off.
Just in case it was the latter, we went down separately, otherwise hubby would be stranded an hour from home!
...IT CAN BE FIXED! YAY!!!
Then when we got back home and had some lunch, hubby got back into that 'sorting' mood! How will I ever find anything now?

Evening all!
Just a quick visit. I'm still getting tired and forgetting where I left my brain.
Tami, I can't wait for you to get back and tell us where you were kidnapped to! I hope it is an absolute blast!!!
Rolanda, your mother's recovery is full of ups and downs isn't it? It must be so hard for all of you, and frustrating for her. I hope it settles down soon so that you can all relax.
Heidi, congrats on your calf and finches. A new life day for you today.
MizT, I took advantage of my search for the offending smelly item to check the useby/best before dates on everything in the fridge - it looks so empty now! And my shopping list looks so long!!! I have started typing letters reversed also. I blame my hands wearing out and one of them not working as fast as the other one - though I haven't worked out which one is letting me down yet.
Vicki, I don't think I'd be looking forward to that hectic schedule either. I have no eggs in the house yet!
Gail, I'm glad hubby's car can be fixed - I hope they do it quickly.
And now Vicki has reminded me that I have no eggs in the house, I am going to Wollongong area tomorrow to visit my friend in hospital, the shops are closed on Friday, that leaves Saturday. Nothing like leaving things to the last minute!!

Thanks Heidi and Suzy. They rang hubby not long ago and said to bring it in on the 19th of April, and I believe it will take about 15 working days. We are so very lucky that we have enough cars to go around! I still have the car I bought in 2000 that the kids all used as their 'first' car when they got their licenses (D#3 is due to get her learners in April...EEK!). So when hubby needs a car, he will take my current one, and I will drive around my old one...I sound like Milly the millionaire!

Gail you don't sound like Milly. Up until a few weeks ago we used to have 5 cars, the newest of those was 11 yrs old and only 4 were on the road. Richard has now sold on his project car ( he never got round to doing it) a 1978 xjs jaguar.

That date reminded me of a local story...
We live very near a wooden bridge. It's a pain because it doesn't have a bike or pedestrian lane. All of a sudden a couple of weeks ago they started putting up 40kph signs. Hubby made some phone calls and found out that the thing is about to fall down!! People who hadn't made the phone calls were tail gating, overtaking in a seriously dangerous way etc, it was incredibly dangerous. They ended up putting it on the radio, now almost everyone slows down. I have discovered though, that if you are singing with your daughter and conducting to War of the Worlds you do forget!!! The road is going to be closed for a week which will be agony as the long way around is the LONG way around....

SUZY, closed for a week and you must take the long way around? How lucky you are it is not closed longer! Our bridge is still out, as in taken down, non existent, and NO PLANS to replace it we "are not high on their priorities". Now if one of the road commissioners used that bridge, it would have already been replaced. I hate rural county politics.
Another lovely day in the neighborhood today. Cool morning, Warm afternoons, blue skies, and very low humidity. I could get accustomed to this.
TAMI, hope you are having a blast with your friend, enjoy.
Gail, I do hope your hubby's sorting is better than what my hubby does. Things go into a bag or box and onto shelves, no rhyme or reason as to what shares a box, I think all he is interested in is seeing how much more stuff he can fit into his allotted storage space. He spends half of any project time looking for something that he knows he has, somewhere, till he gives up and buys another one.
sloshy thing needs attention, catch you all later, hugs to all.

MizTricia... Al's sorting is STILL better than IH's. If he doesn't know what something is, he throws it away. I keep telling him that if he doesn't know what something is, it's not his and he's not to touch it.

Morning all!
We're lucky MizT - the Navy base uses that road so twice a day it gets very heavy traffic. The Navy actually contributes to the road fund... We used to get very long power outages too because of where we are, but there is a respite centre for disabled children not far from here and they jumped up and down and yelled and screamed and now that problem was solved too. You're right about politics!

Hi, stopping by to say Happy Easter and Passover! Hope all is well with everyone. Miss you guys!(not enough hours in the day!) Been very busy(and sick at the moment) Going to Boston for Easter because not enough time to pick up all the kids and get them back to their three schools since Bryana has a softball game Saturday afternoon that she has to go to. It should be fun, we're staying at Meghan's dorm/apartment on campus.
Rolanda, hope your mum is doing better. You're both in my thoughts and prayers.
Happy Easter!
