I've got Easter supper all ready, and IH is off somewhere. I've no idea what time he'll be back or where he is. He usually does this for holiday meals.

Thanks Heidi ... I thought it was a bit strange. I like your sense of humour! I am a bit gullible, so I'll believe just about anything.

I guess you'll have leftovers, Heidi. Does IH do this on purpose or is it just that he doesn't stop to think?

Happy Easter/Passover to all my friends. Found a BUNCH of classmates on fb!!! I've forgotten how many I still remember. That's what happens after 30 years out of HS. Hope you are all well, or getting better. Missed 5 pages AGAIN! I'll try to read, but can't promise I'll remember everything. TTFN

Rolanda: continued prayers for Mum!! I agree with Tami! You & your SIL have to be your mom's advocate, if you don't do it who will?? I am sending you also all my love & support. My mom's cousin Manny is in a nursing home with hospice. He has alzheimer's & some other issues, but he's well taken care of. Keep us posted!!

Hate to say it, my friend Debbie (who I've known since we were 12)has a brother John who went to Duke, but I am cheering for Butler. They played here in SLD when I went to lunch with my buddy Janet. Debbie knows I'm cheering for the underdog! Hopefully they win! I know how SOME people on SA9A feel about Duke

I'm not sure which it is, Theresa.
My favorite episode was a Thanksgiving supper. I had raised the turkey from the egg, butchered it myself, cooked an elaborate meal, and IH disappeared 15 minutes before I was ready to serve. He didn't return for 4 hours. When he did return, his explanation was that he had been invited to have Thanksgiving dinner with some friends of his. Never said a word about it to me, even though he was watching me cook.

Sorry Heidi, he doesn't sound like a very supportive person! I don't mean to be critical of someone I don't know. I know sometimes my husband forgets things and it really hurts my feelings (and my hubby is a good guy). Men just don't seem to think the way we do.

Well, I've tried sleeping and for some reason I can't. I think my mind is just too active. I've just made some popcorn and I guess I'll see if there's anything on the tube to put me to sleep. TTFN

Hello, Everyone, as we wind down Easter celebrations topside!
Hi, Gail, Suzy, CynB, Tami the Troublemaker, MizTricia, Vibrant Vici, Heidi, Broni, June, Suzanne, and anyone I have missed!
Gail, it seems as if your sister who had surgery has quite the set-up, especially if she can wrangle in family members who pass her door to help run errands, etc. I wish her a speedy recovery!
Suzy, I hope your new dishwasher did all that it was supposed to be able to do!
CynB, I'm glad you had a nice Easter with your family - and that they left soon enough to pull everything back together!
Tami, what a good plan to buy service for 16 when you bought dishes on sale! We have stoneware service for 8 (in some pieces) purchased before we got married. Never registered for dishes or bought any others. Luckily, they have held up well (except for the bowls).
MIzT, VERY sensible that they put off the dome work in heavy rain & mud. Hopefully they'll get some nice dry days soon!
Thanks for the Easter greetings, Vici! We miss you here when you get so busy at FB!
Heidi, I'm glad you were able to sort out the cow/calf pairs! Keep us posted as you get new calves, please! Sending prayers and positive vibes for your Lions club president and friend!
Tami, I'm so glad to hear that your Dad is doing better! Please give our best to Bernie and Bobbi! (We miss her! Hopefully she has time to read occasionally.)
Heidi, so sorry to hear about the heifer! I had hoped the string of bad luck had ended! Maybe when you get your tractor back from the dealership everything will start to look up!
June, I hope you and the Probus group have a great week! We'll miss you.
Theresa, it seems like you have had a busy weekend! But then, you also had a busy week! How will you be able to fit in a part-time job with everything you do? Good luck!
Heidi, I hope by now you have been able to enjoy the Easter supper you prepared!
Suzanne, it's so nice that you are finding classmates on facebook! I wish more of mine were on it, as it's SO much easier to communicate than on classmates. Unfortunately, more of my classmates are on classmates, and if you don't pay to become a member, you don't know who visits your page or have any way to communicate. BTW, I'll join you in cheering for Butler!
Ooh, Theresa, popcorn and a boring movie sound like a great idea! I hope you can get some sleep!

Stopping by on my way to bed tonight, wanted to say good maeN to all.
I came home from our church service and put together a fast smoked sausage casserole, it was yummy. Planned overs for tomorrow night, too.
OK, I am now ready to get this surgery stuff done. I hope to phone my doc tomorrow and get appointment for a pre op check up. I should never even whispered that the hand stopped hurting, it heard and said, OH, we can fix that! Guess it hurting again is what it takes to get me in gear to do everything necessary to get the surgery scheduled.

Good Morning Sudokuland friends.
I have an appointment tomorrow for my pre op check up, so I have the gears in motion. Tomorrow afternoon I will phone the patient coordinator at ortho, and tell her which facility I want to use. I do want to ask my doc's opinion on that. Once that is done, she can schedule the surgery. Yep, I knew it had to be done sooner or later, but 1) it took me 2 weeks to recover from that tummy bug, and 2) I am reluctant to schedule surgery when there is not pain to be relieved. But the wheels are in motion now.
OH, the humidity came back, agggggggggggh, it feels sticky and cool, skin is clammy but cold. Hard to dress appropriately today. I want my lovely spring days back, please. Temps going up like June temps here today, not fun.
Where were all the DUGs today? Only 4 messages overnight, nutting to read or comment on, so I will say
Hello and bye, hope all have a great day, evening.
Hugs to all.

I found where Phannie is hiding her kittens! She has 4 of them... 2 solid blacks, a solid blue and a solid yellow.
Oh, and remember when I lost one of my black cats a couple of months ago? I wasn't sure if it was Tina, the friendly one, or India, the one that didn't like people. I was afraid it was Tina, since I wasn't able to hold a black cat. Well, I now know it was India. Tina showed up again yesterday. I'm SO relieved!

Pleased to hear that Tina showed up again, but a shame you had to have lost a cat. Have you any idea who the daddy is of the kittens? Such a wide mix of colours in them.

No idea who the daddy is (all my males have been neutered), but the colors are all possible from mamma Phannie's gene pool. Phannie is a blue cream, sort of a dilute tortoiseshell. I checked again with the friends who gave her to me, and they said that they clearly remember having her spayed. So this litter is a true miracle!

Hi all, seems to be a slow night/evening/day for SA9A. We have had beautiful weather the entire four days. I have a feeling a lot of people were away for the long weekend.
Heidi, did IH show up for supper? You're right about the litter of kittens being a miracle. Will you try to find homes for them or will they be staying at your place?
We have a new black male cat outside, a bit on the smallish side so I have a feeling he's a kitten from last summer. He spent most of his time running away from me and then yesterday he decided I was OK and that he would sit on my lap outside! I call him Splotch because he has a small white stripe on his nose and a bit of white on his chest. He is sweet ... wish I could find a home for him.

Theresa, I have had many strays come up here, over the years we lived here in the country. Momma kitties, wanting to wean their kittens, but not enough food put out separate for kittens where they live, will bring the liter here, and get the kittens up on the porch, to interact with Al or me. Al is the softie, and will have them eating out of his hand in 2 days. Momma kitty will stay hidden but where she can see the kittens, watching them.
I have only once got the momma to come join the kittens eating. I found homes for all the kittens and that Mother cat, even one kitten who had been attacked by a dog and needed follow up vet care by the new owner.
I wonder how the cats know to bring h=their kittens to us? Is there some way we are marked??

Actually MizT, I am feeding about 10 feral cats outside in an enclosed feeding area. I also have two areas with straw where they can keep warm in the winter. It's not often I can actually get them to come to me, must less jump on my lap. I have another orange tabby male that I can get within 5 feet of, where before he ran as soon as he saw me. I'm hoping by the fall he will also be my friend. My husband says we have a tattoo on our foreheads that only cats can see and it says "SUCKER".

Morning all!
Sorry I didn't drop by last night. By the time I picked Ebob up from work, dropped her off at a friend's house for dinner, came home and did ffuts, including listening to the songs Ally wrote, did some gnihsaw etc I was too tired to come back!
Heidi, glad you found your cat... the kittens sound so cute! I would love a kitten, but as I've said before, the food chain thing just wouldn't work.. Plus we'd end up with a litter box with me the one responsible for scooping it!
MizT, let us know when the surgery will be happening so we can send out all kinds of SA vibes to you. You have gone a long time one handed. I'm sorry the pain came back though.
A few of my old friends are on fb but they don't use it much at all. Sigh. Too busy having lives I guess.

Ally's songs are interesting. They each tell a story about something that is happening in her or a friend's life. Hubby says they vaguely remind him of Tracy Chapman in that she does the same thing and something about the way the melody goes... Don't tell Ally I said this, none of them are destined to be chart toppers, but they are amazingly 'deep' for a 13 year old. I was impressed.

Theresa, I was laughing about your description of the feral cats, and the sucker tattoo.
I've told a story here before about one of our cats who used to ask for food at weird times, then call a feral cat down from a tree to eat it.
Hi to everyone I've missed. I've just been bellowed at for help with stuff. Sigh....

Hi everyone! I'm back and I hope you all had a good Easter. As you know mine was fairly busy but I finally got to relax on Sunday. I even had a sleep on the couch.
Yesterday I got to save a friend's life. His wife is away in NZ and due home today. He promised her that he would tape the final episode of "Bed of Roses" and then promptly forgot. I had taped it for Kevin (who was working) so I could loan it to him. He was a very happy and much relieved man when he left our house.
Suzy, did you know that Julian McMahon was married to Dannii Minogue? Just another useless fact for your file on Julian.
Heidi, I was amazed at your story about IH going to a thanksgiving dinner - firstly that he hadn't told you (although that sounds fairly usual from your stories about him) and secondly that you weren't invited. I can't imagine inviting someone to dinner and not inviting their partner. How rude!
MizT, I'm sorry you have to have surgery on your hand but it sounds like it will be the best option in the long run. You are probably feeling happy now that the decision has been made.
Rolanda, I'm still sending my best wishes and prayers for your mum. Big hugs to you and your family.
CynB, I've previously told you my impression of your DIL and this has reinforced my opinion that she is still a prized cow. (Apologies to Heidi, your cows have better natures and temperaments!)
I'm glad Emily has such loving and supporting grandparents.
Hello to everyone I've missed. It's time I did some work now. I'll be back!

Hi everyone. I am trying to enjoy my last few hours until school starts tomorrow. Dylan played baseball today, other than that it was a quiet day. Kids are getting ready for bed and I am catching up on email before bed time.
Victoria, good to see you posting again. Try to stop in more often and let us know you are OK.
Tricia, glad you are having surgery on your hand. Even if it doesn't hurt right now, it has been ruining your life for too long. Hope you have a speedy recovery.

Hello, Friends!
Hi, MizTricia, Heidi, Broni, Brenda, Theresa, Suzy, Victoria, Tami the Troublemaker, CynB, and anyone I've missed!
MizT, the smoked sausage casserole after church services sounds yummy - better than what I threw together for dinner! I think you have come to the conclusion about surgery on your hand in the right way. You didn't rush into it, gave it a chance to improve, found that that wasn't happening. It's like what I was told with my knees, "You'll know when it's time." That being said, I hope it's not bothering you too much! I wouldn't be surprised if the humidity contributes to the discomfort.
Broni, I hope you are feeling much better since your run-in with the ravioli with preservatives! I hope Easter festivities and food didn't complicate matters!
Heidi, Phannie's kittens sound adorable! I'm so glad that Tina has returned.
Theresa, I hope you had an enjoyable Easter - maybe even a chance to relax! I like your story about the cats and the invisible tattoo on your forehead!
Suzy, you have been busy - still! When does Ebob leave for her Outward Bound excursion? It's exciting that Ally is writing songs! Does she write them down - or commit them to memory?
It's so good to see you here again, Victoria! We know you had a busy Easter weekend. Hopefully it was equally enjoyable! Heck, any time you can squeeze in a nap sound enjoyable to me!
Tami, you have probably gone to bed by now, but I hope you have an enjoyable day tomorrow. (Yes, I know you'll be back at school.) Have a good shortened week!
Heidi, congrats on the new bull calf! (Do I recall that this was a first-time mother?)
CynB, so glad you made it through Easter! I agree with the consensus here that Emily is might lucky to have the grandparents she has!
I'm afraid I need to get some ffuts done here, so I'm off for a bit. I hope to pop in again later!
Positive vibes to all, especially Rolanda & Mum!
