Hello all.
Rolanda, best wishes for a peaceful week for you and your mum. Take all the rest you both need to recuperate - the housework won't go anywhere.
Nothing exciting happening at work or home at the moment. I have decided my dog is very spoilt. He kept ignoring his dinner last night until I picked up the piece of meat hidden under the biscuits - it was a very different story then and he wolfed his dinner down straight away (and helped me finish my bowl of lamb caserole that I had for dinner). He then took himself off to sleep on my bed until he got moved to his own couch for the night. Spoilt - definitely, but I do love him! He was the only one keeping me company last night.

Good Evening again, SA9A!

Hi, Victoria, CynB, MizTricia, Theresa, Gail, Heidi, Suzy, June, Broni, Tami the Troublemaker, Rolanda, __

Rolanda, I hope you are able to heed all of the advice about both you and your Mum getting naps! I am so glad your S#1 and his girl are able to stay with you for now and offer additional help! (Very thoughtful for a son!)

I hope MizTricia's hand is feeling better and Theresa's hand is feeling better! I hope your doctor appointment today went well, MizT! The new school sounds like a good fit for your grandson, MizT! Good luck to him as he makes the adjustment!

Heidi, I hope all went well with the fence and gate repairs and replacements! (I think you were going to do some of it tomorrow.)

June, I hope you have a wonderful time with your Probus group! I'm so glad you have internet access while away! I thought we would miss you for a week.

CynB, I just need to keep saying how lucky Emily is to have your unconditional love and acceptance! From what you say, Hayley will be the next to need it. Just keep loving those grandies!

Suzy, Ally's singing teacher's software(?) sounds like a great help when writing songs! Can it actually write in musical notation - or just suggest chords based on the melody line she sings?

Tami, I'm glad today went well at school and hope all goes well tomorrow and you have a wonderful field trip!

Victoria, I enjoyed the anecdote about your (only slightly spoiled) dog!

Hmm, we haven't heard the results of MizT's trip to the doctor. Maybe tomorrow! I know who exhausting trips to the doctor can be, especially if extra tests were ordered!

JULIE, here is the after doc visit report. I took a little rest after coming home from doc, and then had to go out again. We did the things I had planned for tomorrow this afternoon, groceries and start to find my flowers because I get more tests tomorrow! Doc wanted a cardiac stress test. It has been a whole 18 months since the last, and I am not having any problems, but he was concerned about anesthesia. Gee, guess I am getting old when doc is concerned about anesthesia. So tomorrow I do the treadmill stress test for him. the test information says 3 to 5 hours for the test to be complete, I get breakfast ONLY if I do so before 6 am, then only water till it is finished. No caffeinated or de caf begerages or chocolate all today. Test at 10, and I will not be home till after 3 pm. not fun! I had an EKG today and that was fine. I do not know what all the bother is about.

I must remember to phone the orthopedic doc office tomorrow afternoon and let them get the surgery scheduled. Earliest it could be is a week Thursday, the 15th, or the week after perhaps, the 22nd. At least we have begun the preliminaries now.

It is late, I have to get up early to eat breakfast, so I should get to bed. Thanks for asking how my appointment went. Hugs to all.

Evening all!
We're home!!!! Yep, been away for 2 days. Took Ebob down to Canberra for Outward Bound. She had a sniffle on Sunday night, worse Monday morning, by Tuesday night she had a nasty cough. We begged and pleaded and got her squeezed into a doctor this morning. The doctor hated the idea of Outward Bound 'no one should do those things' and prescribed everything but the kitchen sink. She did say Ebob could go though so long as she did everything the doctor said. We've warned the coordinators and they checked Ebob's schedule for us and she is lighter in the first week, heavier in the second. That gives the antibiotics a chance to work and a chance for her to get her strength up. They will call us if she isn't coping though. Ebob was in tears and about to fall in a heap when we suggested that she might not be well enough to go!! She wanted to so desperately. Now of course I can't contact her and am worried - just as well I can't contact her or I'd be driving her nuts!

MizT, glad to hear the doctor is being cautious - better than the opposite! I hope you wake up early enough in the morning to get your breakfast...

Julie, I'm not sure how the software works, I think it actually 'creates' a piece of music for you to sing to. I'll find out the next time I see her singing teacher.

Rolanda, pretty impressed with son#1 right now...

I'm sorry to those I have forgotten - before she left Ebob gave me a present - her cold - and now my brain, which doesn't work well at the best of times, is fading fast.

More details tomorrow, but we saw the Masterpieces exhibition and Parliament HOuse.

Thinking of you MizT.
Good vibes for Ebob and hope she soon feels better and has a great time.
Rained here today but we still had a great time.
heidi, we went to an Alpacca farm today. The mothers only give birth in the daytime, generally in the morning and only in good weather. maybe you should invest in alpaccas instead of cows who drop their calves in the night!

I learn so many interesting things here, today it is about Alpacas, interesting. Thanks June.

Thoughts and prayers to Ebob, hope that cold is much better.

Thanks Gail for the good wishes.

Julie, yes I got up early enough to get my breakfast, I set my alarm for 5:30. Made my oatmeal and cottage cheese (with cinnamon) ate and was back to sleep in 15 minutes. NO need to stay awake waiting was there?

There are shoes scattered all about my bedroom, trying to find comfy " walking shoes". I do not have any. I will go for comfy. Now to shower and find comfy loose clothing, that should not be hard, most of my clothes are getting to big for me.

I will check back in tonight, if not too tired. Hugs to all.

Poor Suzy. Maybe you should go to the same Doc?

Remember that I said IH alternates between not paying the electric bill and the phone/internet bill? Yesterday afternoon they cut off the phone and internet!!! It just got turned back on! He DID pay his office phone bill, tho, so one of his business partners got an earful of me screaming at him for not paying the bill again. (His office is in the house, but both computers are on the home line.)

CynB... for the great e-mail. It cheered me up, as dogs always do.

I had a bad night. Pain shooting down both legs. That means my back was flaring up. Probably from the efforts yesterday to repair the fence that had been torn down.

Today I'm putting Robert to work digging fence post holes, and setting the posts in concrete. We're replacing a flimsier gate that the cows keep damaging with a sturdy new one. I've learned not to use older posts to hang new gates on, because they don't last. But the existing posts are too small a diameter to hold the new gate anyways.

Greetings friends, I was lucky today, stress test did not take 5 hours, did not take even 3, the test was over an hour and a half from when I arrived!! Glad that is over.

I have a phone call in to the ortho's office to schedule my surgery, scheduling person will have to phone me back.

I know one way to get the phone to ring, I am going for a nap now. Hugs to all, back to check on you and read later.

Nola, weeding after a rain is the best time, much easier to dig those pesky weeds then. I have been busy here, cause for over 2 weeks I was not busy, things piled up.

I am another who is glad it is not me moving house, not my favorite thing to do.

Heidi, sorry to hear of the back pains. Hope Robert can work alone, without your assistance, the next few days.

cynB, I loved the doggie e-mail too, thanks. I must send that to BIL, he is owned by 4 dogs, and should appreciate it.

suzy, get well soon, colds are nasty things that noone should have to suffer through. I also hope E bob is not as bad aas you have been.

It is HOT here, I might have to give in and turn on AC, hot and humid and I feel riverelets of sweat running down my face and back. April is just too early in the year to have AC, in my warped way of thinking. Hubby ahs already had his on out in the office.

HEIDI, get out the tranks for the dogs, we both have rain and thunder bumpers headed our way. You shall get them first, We will likely get them here middle of the night. No wonder it feels so oppresive, it is not near the temp today it was the last 2 days and I managed better than today. This system of T storms seems to run diagonally the length of the USA, from New England to south Texas.

Good morning lovely SA people.
Suzy - going to the docs? Hope he gives you something to make you feel better soon. Nice story about the brothers - what are the chances of that happening?
Heidi - thought you might like the dog email. Glad you got the phone/internet back, we'd miss you.
MizT - hope you don't have along wait for your surgery.
Nola - I feel for Renae moving so often. My son has just moved for the second time since his marriage breakup. He went into a town-house but now has a house with a yard for the girls to run around in, ride their bikes etc. Much better.

And as they leave at 4pm tomorrow, we will get Hayley for an overnight visit because she was complaining that she hasn't got to stay with us this school hols. So nice to be popular!! Oh, and we Emily back on Mon for the day - pupil free day, first day of term. If I'm not exhausted now, I will be by Monday night!

Tricia, glad you are getting your hand taken care of. I agree with the doc, better safe than sorry.
Suzy, glad you are going to the doc. Hope you feel better and that Ebob has a great trip. Don't kids always get sick at the wrong times, not that there is a right time.
Heidi, sounds like IH will never learn.
Cyn, loved the email. Have it saved and will forward it to a few of my friends soon.
Had a great time on the field trip. The kids always seem to behave well. Got back to school with an hour to go and discovered we were taking all the kids into an assembly. In other words, all I did today was play. Yeah!!!!! happy teacher!

Cute doggie story. Rachel likes to go in the bathroom and take tissues out of the trash. We need to keep the bathroom doors closed. She got into my bathroom tonight and took a tissue. She then took the tissue downstairs and gave it to my hubby. I told him that she brought him a present.

I knew you lot would all like that doggie email - if anyone didn't get it, it's because I don't have your email address.
To anyone who is on FB - I have just joined a group with an awful sounding name - please don't think badly of me - it's just a pointless group/page started by my son based on his one-man club in the 80's - family joke, nothing more.

Good Evening, Fellow Sudokuaholics! Now I can finally read the comments from today!

Hi, MizTricia, Gail, Suzy, June, Heidi, Nola, CynB, Tami, Broni and anyone I've missed!

MizT, so glad the first doc visit for EKG went well, and the stress test today went well and was finished quickly! Please keep us posted, and we will start sending the positive vibes your way!

Thinking of positive vibes, I'm sending more vibes and prayers to Rolanda and Mum! What a great son you have to come by and help with things!

Gail, as we haven't seen you with quite the frequency that we used to, I'm hoping all is going well for you and family!

Suzy, sending along some positive vibes, virtual chicken soup, and anything else that will help you and Ebob feel better soon. I hope she has a wonderful couple of weeks!

June, so glad you are having a good time! Such interesting information about the alpacas! Maybe Heidi could train her cows. I wonder if alpacas and cows could be in the same field and learn from each other?

Heidi, I hope your back is feeling better today! I'm certainly glad you have Robert as a handyman! Did the holes get dug and the new fence posts placed? How is it that IH remembers to pay his office bills, but not the household bills?

Nola, it's so good to see you drop in! How can you find time to weed with everything else you do? Hoping the move goes well and smoothly for Renae and family! Wow, 4 moves in 12 months! I don't envy her at all!

MizT and Heidi, I hope the storms aren't too severe! We had quite warm temperatures Monday, then heavy rain and hail during the evening and night. Today, it was about 40* F, and out came the heavier jackets again. I hope Dennis did OK with the tranks. No wonder he likes it - wrapped in bacon. (If only cats were so easy to please.)

CynB, thank you for sharing the doggie email! I'll be sharing it with my friend who has a rescue organization, if you don't mind! I didn't realize your son had moved twice, but he obviously is trying to find a near-perfect situation for the girls! Your grandies are so lucky to have you near enough to be able to visit!

Tami, I'm so glad the day went well today! Only two more school days this week!

Broni, how nice your ex-bosses think so highly of you to have you come back for a couple of days. Is there any chance of that developing into enough work for you once D & D sell their business? Hope you're feeling better!

After pushing "Submit" I will check out Suzy's link. (I didn't want to run the risk of losing everything I typed.)

Hi everyone. It's another quiet day here at work and I don't even have to pretend to be busy because the boss is on holidays. One of the guys is celebrating his birthday today, so we will be having cheesecake for afternoon tea.

Heidi, my dog Reggie sounds like Dennis - although he isn't scared of storms - because he is getting his tablets wrapped up in chicken at the moment. There is never a problem getting him to eat them. His rash is improving but we still don't know what caused it in the first place. Reggie also likes tissues but he eats them and we never leave the toilet door open anymore. Toilet paper confetti all over the house and back yard is not a good sight.

Broni, I'm glad to hear your old bosses want you to work for them. That's great news!! WooHoo

Suzi, get well soon.

MizT, I'm glad the stress test was quick and went well.

Tami, nice to hear you had a good day on your outing.

Hi to Julie, June, Nola, Rolanda, Suzanne and anyone else I have missed.
