Popping back in for a while, so will try to catch up pages 1997 and 198.
Hello, Judy, Gail, Heidi, Tami, CynB,
Judy, so sorry to hear about your daughter's boss! Sending warm thoughts and hugs to the woman's family, as well as your daughter and her co-workers.
Gail, thank you for the update on Megan! She sounds very positive. I hope that means all went well! Sending along positive and healing vibes, as well as hugs for both of you! I'm glad to hear that Bill returned home safely and to a thoughtful friend! How nice that you discovered a friend you had lost contact with on fb!
Heidi, it's about time that some positive things come your way! A surprisingly thoughtful hubby and dinner out, work starting soon on a new barn, followed by your sunroom!
Tami, good for you for expecting a Mother's Day weekend! I hope the Beasties and your hubby fulfill all your wishes! Sending hugs to Bobbi and Bernie as well. Please extend Mother's Day wishes to your Mom!
CynB, this is NOT the time for you to lose internet access! Please keep us updated on Auntie Vi! Such a shame that the tumor is unoperable! Sending TONS of positive thoughts, vibes and prayers her way! Keep some for yourself, as well! Hugs to you both and all family members! You're all in our thoughts and prayers.
Good Night, Heidi! Sleep well!

Of course, you all know that was page 197, not 1997. I must have a heavy finger tonight. I also have heavy eyelids, so I had best get some sleep. Hugs and positive thoughts to everyone!

just reading page 197, so sending thoughts and prayers to Cyn and her aunt Vi and all the family. Such a sad report. Did you say how old Aunt Vi is?
Gee, just as my sis was trying to talk me into opening a facebook page, this about lack of privacy? I am unsure again.
Heidi, good news about starting your barn, hope it goes up easily and quickly. How are your wave petunias doing? the one plant i bought now has 30 blooms, hot pink, almost the color of my cast. it only had 3 when i potted it up 3 weeks ago.
Tami, you deserve a weekend of celebrating Mother's day. Hope your boys spoil you all weekend.
Gail, how great you connected to a former neighbor on facebook. How does it feel being a birthday gift? hehehe good to know Bill had a safe trip home.
Judy, your daughters boss was much to young, and how nice her employees got to attend the services.
Today was the best day so far, pain wise, I can only hope tomorrow is just as good. I really cut down on anything that was ouchie, I do think I was using, forcing it too much. That means back to one handed typing, bummer, but only 25 more fays till next appointment.
bed time for me, I shall continue reading tomorrow. Hugs to all.

Juming in without reading to be sure that I wish all of the Mothers across the pond so to speak....that includes all of you who have reached Sunday, a very Happy Mothers Day celebrating the success of all of your hard work and joy in seeing your children grow. For those of you who, like me, can no longer reach out and phyically touch your mum, touch your heart for she is there and knows all. Be Blessed one and all.
Peace.

Well, I have now finished reading news that at first seemed faily balanced, but towards the middle and end just plain sucked!
Cyt, I'm so glad to know that your aunt is a stong, practical woman and she will recognize that its not how long one lives, but simply the fact that some living was done rather than existing, that is what keeps one going. Death is a part of life and a road we all will tread...harder on those left behind iflife has been good, so I wish her more joy in her remaining days, little pain, and the knowledge that her work will soon come to an end and she will be blessed with a much deserved, peaceful rest. Peaceand strength be with you as you travel with her as she wends her way home!

Sorry for the typos, but I forgot to check the post before sending it...too busy trying to gather my thoughts for V. Vi.... I can only really think of how faithfully you have traveled with Edgar as he found his final resting place.... You gave him a taste of Heaven here on earth...what more can a person want. I have been told that when one reaches the point in life where death is inevitable, the most important thing that a person wants and needs is to know that he/she is and has been loved. That someone will hold his/her memory in their heart....this you gave him in spades...I salute you for giving the love and know that it will come back to you when you most need it! Edgar fought the good fight and he now can Rest in Glory, a well -loved man...Condolences to you and yours...continue to walk in peace with the knowledge that all that could be done was.

MizT, you warm my heart....you sound like a hot fresh from the oven biscuit, dripping with homemade butter that I ate in the summers I spent at my gramma's house in the south. You are like the ever-ready bunny, you just keep working and hanging in there with that hand...Good onya! Keep it going on...I needed to hear about your plants and tomato plant#6 getting drowned after some of the other post...thank you sugar!

Heidi, Great hearing that Doc came through the surgery with flying colors, a little unsettling to say the least, hearing about the fluid buildup, but the information supplied by MizT helped me remember that I've heard that this is a fairly common occurrence after this type of surgery... Thoughts and prayers continue for all of your household! Sorry about the animal losses, Suzy put it best when commenting on your abscess....ewewewew..... feel better, and quick healing when you have the oral surgery. You had me holding my breath until after you returned from dinner with Gil... I said to myself that he'd better keep his word and take you out this time, or I would have to make a special trip to KY and kick a little butt....glad things went well, cause I really am not kicking hard enough these days to do any good...lol!

Never had to change a flat in my life, but do have a story...not now..I'm tired its 4a.m and I most likely will not get into bed...more about that too later...but I do want to tell Suzy...no idiot awards are given for cutting you finger on sharp knives...we've all done it and the best you can get is a clumsy award...So there! No red carpet award for you my friend. Be careful and heal quickly...Knife cuts hurt!
Nola, glad Judy was able to get the knitting finished...good luck with the paper, you will do well and as my mom use to say, bad news comes quickly enough, good news travels a little slower...so no news re testing most likely will be positive if not completely good...both of you hang in there. Cyn( I think) I'm glad the adoption is happily completed and celebrated and a new chapter can now be fulfilled for the family.
Theresa, I too fear bad storms and my dog and I would also sit on the staircase during a storm for the same reason you describe...no windows...I glad my kids looked at their father's calm during a storm rather than my frantic racing about pulling plugs from appliances, lowering shades and quivering in my boots, they take them like a grain of salt...I'm better now...but still a little shaky. Okay...that's all I can recall of post read, but was glad to see you all and to be back in the mix... Take care one and all...you are needed here in good health, sending good vibes to go with the hugs for all who want or need them...until we meet again... Peace.

All good in my life and got to see my new grandchild Jeorgie, found out today that the spelling was in honour of her grandfather JD. Brea would have loved to have her middle name starting with a "D" but could not find anything suitable.
One life ends another begins...........
To all who have suffered losses recently my heartfelt condolences but remember another comes into this life to honour their existence by living.

CynB, sad news about your Aunty Vi.
Mama, thank you for those lovely thoughts.
You have made me cry.
I could not bear to know that Edgar was in the hospital day in, day out, and no one was with him. I wanted him to see someone sitting there when he was awake, even though he was very very ill. The nurses could not spend a lot of time with him of course and so I decided I would.
On the Wednesday I am not sure if he knew I was there or not, but I was, all day until 6pm.
I was continually telling him to let go, it was time to go. He passed away the next morning at 5.15am.
Everything is nearly finalised for the funeral this Tuesday at 2pm. My son Ethan, my husband, my brother in law and his son will be pallbearers.
This will be an especially hard day for Ethan, but I am sure he will carry it out proudly.
They are all wearing black suits, with black shirts and a silver tie.
I cannot seem to stop crying.
I must go to bed now.
Thank you everyone for your condolences.
It is much appreciated.
I hope everyone has a Happy Mothers Day.

Viv, it's alright to cry. We are here to help wipe your tears and give you a shoulder. You would be crying more if you were not there for Edgar. You gave him the extra love needed at the end and gave him a peaceful passing. I know he appreciated it.

Good Saturday morning here for the topsiders. mine dawns overcast and breezy, and temps that will be cooler today and tonight.
Mama, as usual, enjoyed your words of wisdom, thanks for dropping by. We have missed you. Now just what were you doing up at 4:30 am?
Cyn, plans for Edger's service sound so nice. Yes. a time for tears, but should also be a time to recall good memories. May your memories sustain you during this time of grief.
No smilies for pills? Now what is that about? I do think you have one for injectables, why pick on pills.
Oh Suzy, I do not always manage to stop myself from talking to family and friends about all my cyber friends. most of them are even interested, and remember your names hehehe
OK, enough of typing, hope I did not forget anyone, apologies if I did. OH, HI Tami and hope your extended Mother's Day has begun.
Hugs to all and catch you later, time for my second cup of coffee now.

Yes, I have 2 cartoon smilies with syringes, but I've tried all sorts of smilies with any meds, with no luck. Apparently the powers that be don't want to encourage drug abuse. Maybe they think I enjoy pain pills TOO much?

Heodi, with that massive infection, you needed the sleep. Chores will wait.
Our temps should drop into the 40's tonight, not as cold as yours, but cooler than norm. I have windows open today, it feels nice with the low humidity and the breeze.
I just weeded the tomato plants, and added some potting soil to the 6th, drowned tomato. Tomatoes are one of the few plants that enjoy being planted deep, having their stem covered when transplanted. They will send out more roots from the covered stem, makes them stronger. So that is what I did, just added soil up to bottom leaves. This is the runt plant, from all it's mistreatment, others are 3 times as big now. No blooms yet, perhaps soon.

My strawberry patch is just starting to produce. We picked the first big, juicy red berries yesterday. Such a difference from the store-bought berries. These may look the same, but they produce a flavor explosion when bitten into.

Just wanted to send along the following warning my sister sent me. I figure Mother's Day might prompt someone to open the email message, BUT DON'T DO IT!
You should be alert during the next few days. Do not open any message with an attachment entitled 'POSTCARD FROM HALLMARK,'regardless of who sent it to you. It is a virus which opens A POSTCARD IMAGE, which 'burns' the whole hard disc C of your computer.
This virus will be received from someone who has your e-mail address in his/her contact list. This is the reason why you need to send this e-mail to all your contacts. It is better to receive this message 25 times than to receive the virus and open it.
If you receive a mail called' POSTCARD,' even though sent to you by a friend, do not open it! Shut down your computer immediately. This is the worst virus announced by CNN.
It has been classified by Microsoft as the most destructive virus ever. This virus was discovered by McAfee yesterday, and there is no repair yet for this kind of virus. This virus simply destroys the Zero Sector of the Hard Disc, where the vital information is kept.
