I'm immune, fortunately. I have an iMac. Completely immune to viruses as long as you don't have any Windows software downloaded on it. Which I don't. Plus, I NEVER open "Postcards from Hallmark". They're notorious.

Happy Mother's Day to everyone where it is Sunday today. MIL wants to go for a drive tomorrow (Mother's Day), so hubby and I will take her. She's in her 80's and not very mobile. We will treat her to supper at a restaurant of her choice ... that way I don't have to cook on Mother's Day either. FIL will not accompany us as he never leaves the house unless he absolutely has to. I love my in-laws, they have treated me like their daughter ever since I met their son.

Theresa, enjoy your Mother's day drive. I will be having my parents, older brother, and hubby's parents for a sunday brunch. Yes, I will be doing the gnikooc, what little there is. I actually don't mind gnikooc when it is not the everyday stuff.
Hubby took the kids for a swim but as it just started raining, they should be home any minute.

Mum...
She holds me to her...
protecting me from the world.
She listens to me...
keeping my secrets for me.
She wipes my tears...
whispering for a better day.
She fights for me...
so that someday I may be free.
That was my Mothers Day gift from Ebob. I share it with you.

Happy Mothers Day
A beautiful sunny day and 23c here at the moment.
Have been out for breakfast this morning to the lovely Rydges Motel here.
I did not feel like eating much though as I have a viral infection and the coughing is awful.
This afternoon we are going over to the SIL place and putting the Eulogy together for Edgar.
I have just written my piece to be included.
Enjoy your day all the Mums.

Good Evening, SA9A!
Hello, MizTricia, Gail, Mamacita, Broni, Heidi, Suzy, V Viv, Tami the T, Theresa on page 198!
My goodness, MizT, are you sure you're taking it a bit easier with your hand? Three comments, and the first was a LONG one! We're just glad to see you post with an update and don't want you to over-do.
Mama, it is SO wonderful to have you back and posting more regularly. You say so succinctly and beautifully what we're thinking! It is always a pleasure to read your words and thoughts! I hope all is well with you - and maybe you're just sharing the insomnia that seems to be going around. If you didn't get to bed after 4 am, I hope you have been able to schedule a good long nana nap!
Broni, so nice to see so many posts from you as well. I love your new grandie's name - Jeorgie - and that it's in honor of JD! How sweet!
Heidi, like many others, I was holding my breath to see if you really would be able to go out to dinner. Why am I not surprised that you had to drive and pay? Oh, well, at least you didn't have to fix dinner and clean up the K room afterward. Just thinking of your strawberry patch has my mouth watering! We went strawberry picking last June with D and her family. The little ones (and some of the big ones) probably ate almost as many as they placed in the baskets. (I stayed in the car with the sleeping baby, but was able to eat a few of the warm, sun-kissed berries on the way home.)
V Viv, continuing to send prayers for you and your family! You were a rock for Edgar as he spent his last days in the hospital! No one could have done more! Bless you!
CynB, continued prayers Auntie Vi and for you and your family, as well! I'm sure Auntie Vi will squeeze just as much living as she can into the time she has remaining. Be sure to collect and share memories with her and your family.
To all mothers who are regulars here (and any visitors), have a happy and relaxing Mother's Day. To Tami, I hope you have a Happy Mother's Weekend!
Love and hugs to all!
Yes, I know it is spring in the northern hemisphere and we have had an occasional day in the 80* F range. Tonight, freezing temperatures (32* F or 0* C) are predicted for southern Wisconsin and northern Ilinois.
MizT, love your gardening stories - and the good advice embedded in them. I didn't know you could/should raise the soil level around tomatoes so that they would grow additional roots and make them stronger. I hope your waterlogged tomato #6 catches up with the others - or maybe it will just produce a little later and longer.
Theresa, thank you for the warning about the rogue email!

I have update my avatar for Mother's Day. I seem to remember that our friends down under and in England, possibly other places as well, don't celebrate a day honoring mothers at the same time as we do. Regardless, all mothers should be honored - and on more than one day of the year!

Hello, Heidi, June, Theresa, Tami, Nola, Suzy, Broni, Rolanda, V Viv, and anyone else who will post on this page (199)!
June, thank you for the well-wishes. Happy Mother's Day to you, even if this isn't the correct day down under. We have SO many excellent examples of motherhood and grandmotherhood on this site!
Theresa, enjoy your drive and dinner with your hubby and MIL!
Tami, enjoy your day with your family. Give our love to Bobbi and Bernie! (I hope you didn't have to cook for the Beasties and your hubby today, since you're cooking tomorrow!)
Nola, thank you for your wishes, as well! I like your Mother's Day smilie! (Are you feeling better/more positive about the testing?)
Suzy, thank you for your wishes and passing on those of CynB! Cyn, we're SO glad you can at least rely on Macca's for internet capability. Ebob certainly did a great job of writing her Mother's Day thoughts!
Broni, thank you for the wishes, as well! Happy Mother's Day and Grandmother's Day and enjoy your new little grandie!
V Viv, please get better soon! Hopefully you will soon have a bit more time to take care of yourself!
Heidi, I love your bright rose avatar!

Julie, that long post and in fact all of them are typed one handed again. Just takes me longer, but what else do I have to do? I am really using the hand a lot less, and have been pain pill free daytime, just Tylenol, for 2 days now. Still need it overnight, no distractions for the constant ache when you lie in bed. Daytime, I find many things to distract. Al has had a movie every night that our favorite TV programs are not on, only on a couple of nights, so we saw a lot of movies lately. Anyone have suggestions for movies? Daytime I read, or piddle with things in the house or am on the computer, or my and Heidi's favorite pastime, NAP.
Had another 3 hour nap today. Hubby used my nap as an excuse not to mow the lawn. Don't know whether to kiss him for not disturbing my sleep, or kick him for not getting grass cut. It is only over due by about a week.
Suzy, lovely poem, thanks for sharing your gift with us.
Broni, good you have time to do sudoku puzzles again, hope you enjoyed.
bedtime, sending hugs to all, and if I fif not reply to your post, it is only the limitation of one handed typing that prevented it.

OK - stealing internet time from my daughter, after a lovely lunch at a cafe called GReat! Yum!
Happy Mother's Days to all of you mums, all of you who are celebrating with their mothers and all of you who are remembering their Mothers.
Haven't been to see Vi yet (will do tomorrow) but my cousin said she's doing well and quite philosophical about her future and chances. They are to see an Obcologist this week to find out what treatment will be available to her but they have ruled out anything too aggressive due to her age. Will keep you posted via Golden Arches until I get my internet back.
Viv - thinking of you this week! You are a wonderful caring DIL!
Ouima - you have a wonderful soothing way with words and although they brought tears to my eyes, they also made me feel better.
Love you all - enjoy the rest of your day! Mwah!!

Lovely poem Suzy, thanks for sharing it with us.
Well, we have just got home from an impromptu lunch out with three of the four kids (son was over the other side of town) and I don't think I can walk or eat again! It was lovely. Thank you hubby ♥
D#1 and her partner arrived just after we did bearing a gift bag. In it was a pair of slippers (card said slippers were Trent's idea), he said he had seen mine and they were woeful! There was also a Yummy Mummy mug, a wall plaque and a voucher for a head and neck massage. Chloe is such a sweetie xoxo

Morning all and Happy Mother's Day. Weather promises to be not nice today for our drive with MIL. There's a 70% chance of wet flurries (yes, that's what I said) followed by rain. Right now it's only 0C out with a predicted high of 6. What's up with the weather? Snow on Mother's Day? That's just not right.

Suzi, Thanks for the comment on my typing, but I spend a great deal of time with spell check after my one handed typing. clicking the mouse is easy hehehe.

Mama, I am concerned about your not sleeping for so long. I do hope you were able to go to sleep. If not, perhaps a visit to your doc to find the cause and get some help? The photo collection sounds wonderful.
Cyn, thanks for the update on Auntie Vi, do keep us informed about oncologist opunion and options.
Gail, your day and gifts sound just right. So happy so many of your children could make it.
Teresa, your cold seeped all the way down here, but did not get as low as forecast, only down to 52, chilly start for the day. hope you do get in the drive m and you are right about snow on Mother's day.
Now to get dressed for church. I had phone call from one dayghter this morning, perhaps others later.
Hugs to all, and

I can't believe how much I'm sleeping these days. I didn't wake up until 2:15 pm today, and still feel tired. I haven't taken any Hydrocodone today in hopes that it's the cause of the excessive sleeping. The pain levels have gone down to where aspirin can control it, anyway.
