What CynB said Gail.
It's not a swear word in my book Broni. lol
Not after the summer we had. I like this weather.
Nite all.

I'm a bit torn between Broni and Viv's posts. Whilst I do like the cooler weather after a long hot summer, I hate nights like this when it is 9c here. Sounds not too bad to people who live in colder climates but our houses are built for the hot weather and we are not prepared to deal with cold. That said - this is the first house I have ever lived in that has a fireplace and I am so glad about that tonight! And my electric blanket is turned on already, warming up my bed. Mmmmmm!

Theresa, hope you are feeling better.
Happy birthday for Simon Pieter. How wonderful to be two!
Patience Cyn, the car will soon be back and hopefully as good as new.
Gail, thinking of you and all your family, especially your Auntie June. My son and Partner recently gave up the dreadful weed. They got something from the Doctor that just reduced the craving.
Broni, are you able to take things a bit easier now before you start the next job?

I had a good nights sleep, the cleaning lady came and vacuumed (not a swear word when someone else does the work), got my hair cut and then went and did some shopping.
Only down turn was a filling fell out of a molar. It is not worrying me but guess I had better make an appointment to get it fixed.
Cold day here too but sunny so it was lovely in my sun room or sitting in the car in the sun.

Morning all.

Have read and healing thoughts to all who are going through problems, be it family or otherwise.

The dizziness is worse today, but I have figured it out I think. My left ear popped open this morning and I didn't even know it was blocked, so I think that's the problem. Ear blockages or infection can cause dizziness and balance problems. The stomach is much better today and I'm actually hungry, so I'll just take it easy. If the dizziness has not significantly improved by the weekend I will get hubby to drive me to the ER and see about getting my ear cleaned out.

For those of you with cleaning ladies ... I am jealous. But hubby says if I had a cleaning lady, I would clean up before she got there so she wouldn't see a mess. He's probably right.

TTFN, time to get some brekkie. And another coffee.

Early morning here. Some Guinea keets that i ordered arrived unexpectedly at 6:30 am. I hadn't been told that they'd shipped yet. So I had to quickly get my brooder cleaned and set up for them. They're settling in nicely.
It rained again last night, but no lightning and thunder. I will most likely NOT see workmen again today.
My back is killing me today, as well. At least the rescheduled epidural is in 6 days. And I have plenty of painkillers and anti-inflammatories.

Theresa... you may want to get checked out for an inner ear infection as well. Your symptoms sound too severe for a blockage. This from a person who has to have a tube put in her ear every 3 years for blockages.

Gail... So sorry to hear about Aunt June. I look at it that at least she had some good quality of life thanks to that hip replacement, instead of being a long term invalid. I hope her passing is easy and dignified.

Julie, somehow I said that wrong! I do the exercise 10 times! My print out gives instructions for the exercise, then says " repeat 10 times per set. Do one set per session. Do 3 sessions per day" So daily I am doing 30 of them. Sorry for the confusion.

My first wave petunias are a bright pink. The new onew are a strange shade somewhere between red and pink, very pretty. I was using Miracle Grow sprinkle on timed release fertilizer, but ran out. Could not find locally, butI found Osmacote "Pot Shots" looks like a gum drop covered with sprinkles, you force into soil and it is timed release.

Cyn, good to see you back! how wonderful that Aunt Vi will get a safe bathroom! Goodon those young men doing this project.

Gail, thoughts and prayers for your Aunty June. Do let us know the outcome of the family meeting with docs.

HI Broni, Bye Broni, have a good work day.

June don't you love sitting in the sun? Few sunny, cold, windy days here I actually sat in car a bit to enjoy hehehe. Glad you had a good nights sleep, I did too, nice to wake rested and refreshed.

Teresa, I too am jealous of those who have q cleaning lady. I had one a while, she moved back up north, and have not found another. But I do not clean fore she gets here. Pick up clutter and put away, so I can find my things again, but no cleaning.

Heidi, yippee, celebrating with you that workmen arrived.

Off to get my breakfast, hugs to all.

Just got up from a two hour nap, after sleeping 7 hours last night! I'm still dizzy. I've had ear infections in the past but they were always accompanied by stabbing pains in the ear ... this has no pain, no headache, but just dizziness. My daughter is just getting over a doozie of a cold where she missed 2 days work and of course I see her often as she lives right next door. It is what it is.

Off to get another coffee and hopefully get some work and ffuts done. Yesterday was a lost cause as fas as getting anything done ... I even asked hubby to grab a bite to eat on the way home yesterday. It wasn't a big chore for him as on the way home he passes a shawarma place and they are excellent!!!

School is over, officially. All is packed away neatly?? in my closet and I had a great time at our beach party. I am off tomorrow and have a 3 day training next week. Camp training starts next Wednesday but I will miss the first day. Camp starts for the kids a week from Monday, June 21. At least I don't have to prepare lesson plans or grade papers. I just have to do a weekly schedule.

Morning all!
Gail, what were the workmen doing for you? Something fun and exciting I hope! So sorry about Aunty June and your BIL. And getting worse as I read on. A rough time over that way at the moment. Great news about your brother though.

Yay Tami! I hope you have some time to yourself this summer…

Theresa, I hope by the time I get to the end of the page you are feeling better. It doesn’t sound good so far… Don’t let your husband con you! You’d get used to it over time and let the cleaning lady do the cleaning!!!

Happy Birthday Simon-Pieter! I hope you had a great day with lots of family.

MizT, glad to hear that the pain is a lot better. J

Vicki, I would have eaten that dinner! It sounds yummy!!

Cyn, it feels like forever since you’ve had a car! I hope it is done in 2 weeks… More thoughts, wishes and SA vibes winging their way to Aunty Vi… Her son sounds wonderful!

Viv, I hope the old radiator didn’t leave you stranded somewhere!

Heidi, glad to hear your sunroom is turning into a sunroom. MizT will have to come and sit in there instead of in her car! Sigh. It sounds wonderful.

Our drama for the moment - a friend of Ebob's has been kicked out of home. Long, complicated story but I got to read a bunch of it on fb - where his sister chose to vent - and so agreed to have him come and stay while he gets himself sorted out. This guy is only 16 and thinks he is bis3xual. The most common insult in the rant on fb is f@ggot, though there were many others. If it had been anything but that I might have let him find somewhere else to sleep...

Ebob gets a huge smile on her face every time we do something 'nice' for this guy. 'Nice' is only making sure he has a lunch packed and a toothbrush. He's off to Centrelink today to find out his options. Sigh. You need a licence to breed dogs but...

Mitchell has an upset tummy and I got tired of him asking for dessert. I am only letting him eat bland food for a day or two. He was driving me crazy tonight for dessert so I told him to call his grandma (my mom)and if she said it was ok, I would agree with her. My mom is the Jewish mother to end all Jewish mothers. I could her her telling him no and his whining why not? For once, calling grandma did not work.

Everyone!

Hello, CynB, V Viv, Gail, Broni, June, Theresa, Heidi, MizT, Tami, Suzy, Rolanda, and anyone I've missed!

Cyn, we're so glad to see you back! The good news is that the car will be repaired and paid for by insurance. So sorry it will be another couple of weeks! Here's hoping those weeks will fly by without too much inconvenience to you. Sending hugs, positive vibes and prayers for Vi as she starts chemotherapy! That's excellent news that her son & friends will renovate her bathroom for safety! I hope the reno goes well!

Viv, I hope the new radiator for your car insures many years of safe travel!

So sorry you are having cold weather, Viv and Gail! Is it also cold for you, Broni and Cyn? Actually, I guess cold is relative to the temperatures you are used to.

Gail, I'm so sorry that news isn't better for your Aunty June. On the positive side, she had 6 months since the hip replacement turned her life around! The fact that she was happy and full of life lets you know that it was worth it!

June, hooray for having had a good night's sleep. Quite a busy day, as I'm sure you did some gninaelc before the cleaning lady came and vacuumed. Then a hair cut and shopping! Of course, shopping means coming home and putting everything away! I'm glad the lost filling didn't initially cause any problem! I hope when you wake up you don't have any problems or pain from the filling you lost! I hope you have another sunny day to enjoy in the sunroom!

Theresa, I'm sorry to hear you still are feeling dizzy, but good to know that you may have diagnosed the problem! I hope getting a bit of food in your stomach is helpful!

Heidi, I hope the unexpected arrival of the guinea keets didn't cause too much extra work! At least you won't need to make a middle-of-the-night trip to pick them up somewhere! I hope next week brings better weather and the workmen get a lot of building done! I hope the next 6 days are not too tough as you wait for your epidural appointment!

MizT, I think I got confused when I read about your exercises and the number of times you do them. (That's what I get for reading so late at night!) We have been using the Miracle Grow this summer on some of our new plants (and some of our old). It seems to make a difference! I have not heard of the Osmacote "Pot Shots." As long as they work, that's what matters. The wave petunias sound like a pretty color!

Theresa, I hope you can get your dizziness sorted out! Hope you will be feeling much better soon!

Woo Hoo, Tami! Schools out! You get a few days' rest! Then training for summer camp. If the kids start summer camp on June 21, when does it end? I hope you'll have some fun time before school starts again!

Suzy, so sorry to hear about what Ebob's friend is going through! I'm so naive; I had thought that maybe his sister would be more understanding than their parents. I guess that shows what I know! (Not much at all!) Reading about the sister's c

I see that I ran over again today. Here's the rest.

Reading about the sister's child really added icing to the cake. You and your family are wonderful to show acceptance and understanding when his family does not!

Heidi, your workmen are amazing to get so much done today! I'm looking forward to another good day tomorrow, I hope! Seems like you'll be enjoying your sunroom in no time!

Happy 22nd Anniversary, Cyn and Col! Congratulations, and may you have many more years! (Actually, I understand about not particularly celebrating. Hubby and I noted number 39 in May. We actually went out for "linner" at about 3 p.m. on the actual day.

Tami, that's so funny that you had Mitchell call your Mom and have her tell him that he couldn't have dessert! It's so great when you know the whining won't work with her either!

Good for you, Cyn! I hope you and Col have a wonderful dinner! Congratulations! I remember back when we tried for 1000 post on Easy. Back then, I actually did the puzzle and read all the posts each day. I guess I might pop over and try to add a few.
