Evening all!
Nice day today. Hubby and I did a gail and then had coffee, followed by more coffee with my girl friends. Now at home with some wine waiting to be opened and ... I've just remembered I have to go out to Pride rehearsal. Bugger.

Happy 22nd anniversary Cyn and Colin, hope you have many more years ahead of you.
I've been a bit busy this week so haven't been here as much as I would have liked.
Hugs for those who are in need of them, sympathy for those who have suffered sadness.
Good wishes for everyone.
Not sure if I will be around much over the weekend. We have a wedding to go to tomorrow, Richard is giving the Bride away... she is a friend of ours. One of Richard's old school friends is going to the wedding to, even though he has never met either the bride or groom in person. He has only 'met' them on line in FB. He will be staying the weekend with us, so I'm haveing to do some extra gninaelc.

The rafters for the roof are now in place!!!! Now comes the hardest part.... joining the new roof with the old. We don't know what condition the asphalt shingles are in, tho' they aren't VERY old.

Heidi, good luck with the roof. I can't wait to see pictures. Try to put up an in progress picture. It is always fun to see the work being done and then the finished product.

Ran into the first big problem. They couldn't get sufficient slope on the roof of the sunroom for shingles. It has to do with needing a minimum angle to keep wind and rain from getting underneath. So the addition will need to have a metal roof instead. We will try to match the color as well as possible. The guy making the windows has also put the kibosh on the skylight. He says that they leak too much.

to all!
I'm surprise I made it here in the morning! I spent way too much time late last night and early this morning helping add comments on Easy! Thanks to Cyn for alerting us to the challenge! It was fun to see who jumped into the challenge on Easy! I haven't read all the pages, but I know I saw Cyn, June, Heidi, Tami and others. Rosemary even popped in. My apologies to those I didn't mention, as I haven't read all 57 pages.
Hi, Heidi, Broni, June, Suzy, Gail, Tami and Brenda!
Heidi, I hope your gout is better - or gone! Do you take meds for it? (I know hubby does since a couple of attacks.)
Wow, Heidi! I would never have imagined there were only 2 people working on your sunroom! Was it just 2 for the barn as well? You mentioned Robert helping. Did that make 3 working at various times on the barn?
Good afternoon, Broni! I hope you're enjoying your weekend!
June, enjoy dinner (duck) at your sister's!
Suzy, your day sounded perfect! Too bad the Pride rehearsal kept you from the wine!
Brenda, we're glad you stopped by, even though your weekend sounds busy! Enjoy the wedding and your friend's visit, even though it requires some gninaelc!
Woo Hoo, Heidi! I can't believe the rafters are already in place! Good luck to the workmen (all 2 of them) as they link old roof and new roof! Keeping fingers crossed that the shingles are in good shape and all goes smoothly!
Hi, Tami! You were up early this morning - or so it seems since I actually got here in the morning. Happy Weekend!
Happy Weekend to everyone! Off to do some ffuts. (One brother, one sister and BIL will be here on Sunday, so guess what I'll be doing.)

Just read Heidi's post! Sorry they have run into some snags. No skylight!
(Maybe a pout would have been better than tears. I'll leave that decision to you, Heidi!) I hope the metal roof color will be a close match! I'm sure all the correct decisions will be made! Good Luck!

Julie, enjoy your family this weekend. I am enjoying a 3 day weekend with nothing to do. Monday I get to go to a three day training class for school and camp training starts on Wednesday.

Hi everyone!!!
Heidi, we have a metal roof on our house and I find it very soothing to fall asleep with the rain hitting it. It could turn out to be a very pleasant thing for a sun room, like soothing music.
Can't remember what I've read ... did too much posting to help Andre get her 2222. Hope to come back later.

BTW ... I will be going to the local hospital either tonight or tomorrow because the dizziness is getting worse day by day. This is not going to go away by itself so hopefully I can get onto some appropriate antibiotics. I do realize that it is more than likely an ear infection, Heidi ... let's hope the doctor agrees!!! When a doctor prescribes an antibiotic for 7 days I always tell them that's not enough, please make it 10. If they won't make it for 10, sure enough it never quite goes away. My family doctor prescribes 10 for me all the time (he actually treats me like a thinking human being). Why is it so many doctors don't realize that you might know something about your own body?

I've actually emailed hubby at work and told him I need to go as soon as he gets home from work. I am so dizzy, hot and cold spells. The bad thing is I have the grandies after school and hubby has to pick up my daughter at work at 5:00. I feel horrible. Aside from feeding the cats (inside and out), I haven't done a thing today. Hopefully the waiting time is not too long tonight.

Boy, do I feel stupid or what!! My excuse is that I used to be blonde.
I went to fill my pill box for the next week and realized that for the last 5 days I had missed taking one of my medications. That is why I have been so dizzy ... so won't need to go to the hospital after all. I'm not sure how long it will take my body to be "caught up" with the medication, but at least now I know what's wrong. It is the type of medication that you are supposed to gradually wean yourself off of, so being without for 5 days would definitely send my system for a loop. My sister had been on the same medication and had been weaned off it but still felt the way I'm feeling now. If I had a brain I would be dangerous.

Theresa, I am very glad that it is nothing more serious. I take a thyroid medication daily and have for almost 20 years. I have still been known to forget.

Heidi, out of curiosity do you not have to get planning permission to add the sun room to your house. Over here it would take weeks to get the plan approved before we could go ahead and even start building work.

Thanks Tami and Brenda.
Brenda, for us too we would need to get a building permit, which are quite pricey, and take weeks and weeks to acquire. Then an inspector has to be a part of the whole process and inspect foundations, plumbing, electrical, roof, etc. Living in town, we could not get away with any type of addition on our property because it would be noticed.

Theresa, thank goodness you have found out what is causing your dizziness. I'm not going to say anything because forgetting pills like that is exactly like something I would do!!!
Heidi, here you practically need a permit to plant a new plant. It's crazy. They're expensive too. And they don't fix any of the problems they are supposed to fix...

I'm a bit nervous about this morning. We're going over to the boy's house to pick up some of his stuff. I convinced him to arrange it for when his mother was home so she couldn't charge him with break and enter or something. She has already called and accused him of coming home through the day and drinking. It doesn't occur to her that if he'd come home during the middle of the day he would have picked up some of his stuff???

Suzy... you might want to ask a deputy sheriff to accompany you, to protect the boy and keep the peace. With an escort, no accusations can be levied against him, and his parents may be shamed into realizing how awful they're being to their son.

Good morning all.
Theresa - so pleased that you found what was causing the dizziness.
Heidi - sorry you won't get a skylight. I have one and it doesn't leak, thank goodness, it's over the kitchen.
Suzy - I hope all goes well taking the boy back to collect his stuff. What weird parents some kids have.
Hi to Julie, Brenda, Tami, Gail, Broni, June and anyone else I missed.

Actually we had a lovely anniversary yesterday despite my frantic postings on Easy. We went out for dinner just to the Bistro at the local Pub. Had a lovely dinner with wine followed by coffee. Put in a $10 Keno entry (10 games) and kept just winning enough to keep us going. We really did have fun, just the two of us. All is good.

It would be, Tami and Heidi, but this is Australia. We don't have sheriffs/deputies, only a police service - not force, they're not allowed to use it, which makes them ineffective.
And they do not get involved in domestic situations until after violence has occurred. I could go on but we don't have all day.
Your American police, and we do see them in lots of TV shows (Cops etc) have far more powers than ours do. It's frustrating for them and frustrating for the public.

Greetings friends, checking in before bedtime. I had a long and therefore tiring therapy session today. She brought out toys for me to play with. A peg board and pegs, very small light weight pegs, for me to place in holes, then ick up and put back. Better for me than just trying to make an "O". She said I had really made progress, and OKed me only coming once a week now, cause she knows I am working at home.
Very sleepy, and it is still so hot here, not cooling of a usual. My poor AC working overtime, usually can turn the big one off by this time of night, not tonight. Hope I can get to sleep.
Hugs to all, catch you tomorrow.
