Hi everyone. Nothing much happening here - been re-arranging cupboards and throwing things out. Have to take up Rob's new jeans ... that's about it.
Heidi, hope you're feeling ok after your epidural, and hope it gives you a long time pain-free.
Catch you all later - have a good day. :)

Finally some peace and the day is nearly over. Sigh. We have a couple of furry blankets and they must feel like momma kitty because she has settled.

I'm back after a busy day doing little errands.
Haven't checked on MIL today as both brothers from Nth Qld arrived down here at different times with their families, we feel she'll have enough visitors to cheer her up (one son she hasn't seen for about 18 months). We'll ring them later today.

Cyn, sorry to hear your MIL isn't that much better. :( My mother likes that show. Hubby is watching Dirty Jobs. I think he likes it because he can point out the things that WorkCover wouldn't let them do if the show was produced here.
I've had coffee with friends - yummo. I loike my friends.
Now my life ends and my kids' lives take over again. Pride rehearsal...

Never watched it. From what I've heard, that's a good thing. The few minutes I've spent looking at these "game shows", tends to lower my opinion of the collective brainpower of the species. And THAT is hard to do.

good morning sudokuland. I want to say Thank You for all the lovely birthday greetings here and on my page and to my mail box. You really brightened my day with them. I hope to be able to visit pages of each one, but ya all know my typing is time consuming at the moment, one handed, so give me a few days.
we will be out for lunch this afternoon, and hubby did not change the AC setting, so today should be cooler inside.
I need my breakfast now, catch you later,

There is something special about those first warm, juicy, home grown tomatoes. They're a true epicurean delight.

The guys are nearly finished for the day. They've just about finished putting up all the plywood on the walls. The sides are MOSTLY windows, but there has to be some wall for strength and support. The order for the metal roofing and siding won't be ready until next Wednesday, so they'll be off on another job until then.

Good evening, hope everyone is well or on the mend.
Not much time to be on the computer as my daughter needs a lot of help. She can't walk right now so I get a lot of calls from her. She is still in a lot of pain. Next week I will be doing double duty by getting the kids ready for school every morning and then dropping them off at the bus, picking them up after school, making snacks, supper, etc. It tires me just thinking about it. On Tuesday she goes back to the hospital to have her leg checked again. I will try to pop in from time to time for a sanity break. TTFN.

Morning all!
Happy Actual Birthday MizT!! It sounds like a good day so far! What Heidi said about thank you in here being more than enough...
Hubby and Ebob are off to baseball, Ally is still asleep, Three has gone on a trip to Wollongong with a friend. Nom Nom is hiding somewhere, probably saving up energy to terrorise me again later, but for now, all is peaceful...

Theresa, I know it is tiring but it is also a labor of love. Your grandies will definitely remember all you have done for them. I still have wonderful memories of my mom's parents. My grandfather died just before I was 9 and my grandmother when I was 15. It is amazing how clearly I remember certain things, mostly little every day things.

Went to my doctor today for a check on my cough. She likes what the other doctor gave me on monday and that my lungs sound clear. It can take 6-8 weeks for the cough to clear up so I will be coughing most of the summer. Not a wasted visit, she drew blood to check on my thyroid and was able to give me samples.

Hi Tami, glad your check went well, but sorry that it's going to take so long for the cough to clear up.
It is a labour of love to help out ... that's what family is for. The only problem for me is that I won't be able to get much of my work done, which means a very small pay cheque. OUCH. But I know my daughter and her hubby would do the same for me if the roles were reversed. I never knew my own grandparents, so I missed out that way.

Thanks Heidi. Glad to hear the sunroom is coming along as planned. How exciting to have a place of your very own! By the way, will it be a place you can be in in the winter as well?
Off to bed as tomorrow promises to be a busy day. Have to get my house in order before next week as I won't have time to do much then. Take care everyone.

Very definitely for the winter. It will help with winter depression. It'll be heavily insulated from the cold for the birds, too.
IH just got home and freaked out. He couldn't believe how big and roomy it is in there. Not much is left to the imagination any more.

I'm gonna have to take Rain back to the Vet tomorrow. The meds worked for a while, but no more. She now leaves a trail of urine everywhere she walks. I can't take it any more, and that breaks my heart. I've fallen deeply in love with that dog.

This is what happens when you take in geriatric dogs with health issues. Unfortunately. In this case, I'm having a hard time letting go. I think it's because I'm having to make the decision instead of the dog telling me that it's time to go.

Hi my friends.
Well I finally have the place to myself for one night whoopeee! Just me and the dogs. Zusy glad you got some me time too.
Theresa, sending you Sudoku strenght to get through the next week.
Heidi, the sunroom sounds great, make sure IH doesn't want to take it over for his office! It brought on tears hearing you talk about Rain, I know it's small consolation but she was lucky to have you, will be with you in spirit tomorrow.
Tami, hope the cough improves sooner than later.
MizT, hope you enjoyed your fresh birthday tomatoe sandwich for dinner.

Just read through the posts. Heidi, you are in my thoughts honey, this is too hard. Quality is as important as quantity, and I am sure Rain isn't enjoying it either.

Hi everyone, hope you are all well!
Gail,I've spent some time in the veggie garden too. I think the zucchini are finished and will have to come out, and I picked some very dodgy looking bits of broccoli - not much luck with that, I'm afraid! :{
Heidi, so sorry to hear about Rain ...

I was going to have a bit of a sleep-in this morning.... the workmen have been coming at 7 am to avoid the heat... but I was awoken at 6:30 by panicky dogs and an unexpected thunderboomer. Unfortunately, I'd left my truck windows wide open because of the heat. I'm gonna have WET seats.
