Hello everyone.
I have done a little reading but as usual, I didn't write it down.I did have a laugh at the pool episode of Tami's,not fun!
Heidi, great that the sunroom is coming along as planned.
MizT, with all the effort you put into your hand, I'm sure you will get the best result possible.

Heidi..how long do fighting fish live for? Mine is about 3yrs old, has lost a lot of it's colour and has stopped eating for 4 days.Looked on the net but couldn't find lifespan.
Being cold here,(high of 24c-low of 12c)I thought it may be sluggish but have never seen it not eat for this long. The lovely thing looks like it will die.

Greg has been in hospital with a huge abscess. It is typical of him to put off going to the Dr until it was that bad that he was vomiting and I had to call an ambulance because I couldn't get him into the car.He went under a general anesthetic to drain it and is now much improved.
I remember one morning asking him why he was so cranky when he only just got up.After questioning whether he had a headache,he told me about the pain he was having and I made a Dr's appointment after discovering the problem.
He is his own worst enemy sometimes!
He is getting better now,but I worry about son and marriage breakup, and another re-submit assignment.
By writing down here my day to day problems,it becomes less of burden because it really could be a lot worse. It is my lack of coping skills,(when lots go wrong,) that become apparent.Thank God I am on antidepressants. It doesn't seem to take much for me to be overwhelmed.

Morning all,

Nola, I know that feeling of being overwhelmed with problems. Even a whole bunch of small problems can leave me feeling that way. Hope Greg is soon all better.

Nola,
With everything that is going on in your life, a resubmit is definitely not a reflection on you!!! Make sure you remember that and don't beat yourself up. Even if you don't have time to read, if writing things down here helps your problems, then do more of it! What else are friends for? Not just the happy times.

Yes Nola remember the saying that a problem shared is a problem halved. We will always support you even though we are not there physically to be of help.

Nola, good thoughts go out to you. Sharing your problems can be good therapy. Even if we can't help, we can listen and maybe offer advice. Sometimes a shoulder to lean on is the best medicine.

So much for getting up early (I turned the alarm clock off in my sleep) and mowing the lawn ( a thunderstorm is starting). That means that I'll just have to comfort a few dogs with drugs, then go into town to do some shopping. I need to pick up a wedding present for IH's nephew (wedding is next weekend) and a few pet supplies. My problem with going to Feeder's Supply is that they also sell Budgies. I need to refrain.

Now to read posts....

Nola... POOR GREG!!! I understand Greg's thinking. If you ignore it, it may go away. You know... that very rarely works. I'm sorry to hear that he let it get to the point where it required an ambulance and hospital stay.

Heidi, be very strong when you go in the store. Repeat after me, "I will not buy any budgies, I will not buy any budgies." Repeat as many times as needed.
Nola, hope Greg is feeling better soon. Sorry he waited so long and ended up in the hospital.

Got a really good price on ribs this morning, $1.49 a pound. I bought 6 racks and am having my parents for dinner. I need to go get them started. Wish I could invite all my friends over.

None of them are the bigger Budgies like the English ones. They're all the common (American or wild Australian) sized. I don't plan on showing, so I'm not getting show specimens.

Hi All, home from my trip, dropping in without reading tonight to say we had a great time! My sister has a lovely vacation home, hopes to retire there full time within the next year or 2. Two sisters, two nieces one great niece and I had a wonderful 3 days in the north Georgia mountains.

Came home to find there is a leak at the hot water tank, in my closet, and my clothes are all wet. I will be spending the next couple days taking care of that mess, ALL my clo0thes go in the sloshy thing, many loads of the sloshy thing, yuck. I will try to drop in while they are sloshing.

Heidi, package arrived not long after I left on Thursday, Hubby got it in for me. I opened it tonight. thank you, this is softer putty than what I have, will be much better. Many many thanks to you and to Gil for paying postage.

Till tomorrow, hugs to all.

BACK, MizTricia!!! So glad you had a good time, but sorry about the rude surprise in your closet.
How is your hand feeling now? I'm glad the putty arrived. Think of me when you try to squeeze the life out of it.

MizT, thought that you had replaced the tank after the last time it leaked. Don't envy you all that krow.
Suzy, what is going on with Three?
My daughter is looking after a friends budgie while she is on holiday. The dogs have lost interest in him, until he starts chattering away to himself. He is a very clear talker and very friendly.

The men have resumed work on the sunroom. Right now they're installing air vents and the last of the flashing.

Morning everyone.

Okay, I'm finally ready to talk about my problems. I apologize for not sharing before, but I was just so overwhelmed. I've gotten my life a bit more organized and am trying to work on priorities, so things feel a bit better.

First of all, I've already mentioned about the second squishy appointment followed by an ultrasound this coming Friday. The week before last my daughter hurt her leg at work, but it turns out it was a pre-existing condition. The femur where it attaches to the hip is rotten at the end. She is unable to walk without crutches, but only for a little while, and spends most of her time in a wheelchair. She has an MRI on July 7, after which time the specialists will know what to do. Right now they are thinking total hip replacement because the condition is too far advanced.

Needless to say I was devastated ... plus I am doing a lot of extras for her and the kids. This on top of my own problem just sent me for a loop and I didn't want to talk about it (I spent a fair bit of time just breaking out in tears every couple of hours at first).

Will continue in next post in case I run over the limit.

So my workload has increased. The one good thing is that it looked like my daughter would be unable to work for a long time, but she just started back to work part-time/part-time, so at least she has a little income coming in (sitting job, handling paperwork, answering phones). Because it was a pre-existing condition, the Worker's Compensation would not have paid her for her time off.

I just got back in after spending two hours getting the girls ready for school, feeding her dog and cats, medications, breakfasts, etc. Both girls were in very bad moods and spent a lot of time whining. Then the older one was complaining of a sore stomach, so she stayed at home with her mom. Now I sit back and wait for the next phone call for help, or pick up the grandie at the bus this afternoon. Like I said, I'm more organized now (a bit), so I'm not so overwhelmed.

Thanks to those who showed their concern. It keeps me going .......

I have been reading all the posts with my morning coffee, so healing vibes to all who need it. TTFN - need another coffee and some Tylenol.

That's a pretty heavy burden, Julie. I've heard good things about those hip replacements, tho', and consider it good news. She should get out of the wheelchair in the foreseeable future, and that is a good thing.
How old are the granddaughters? Old enough to assign them chores to help out?
