Could not get to sleep. Too much to think about. Have done the puzzles, a warm drink of milk and will have another try to sleep.

The windows in the sunroom are now in place! I am THRILLED with the progress, considering the extreme heat we've been having.

Work has stopped for the day. It's been cooler (relatively) today, but we're having a thunderstorm
and HEAVY rain.

Hi, Everyone! I have just a few minutes, as I should get off the computer with the storm going through.
Heidi, I hope you've seen good progress on the sunroom today before they had to break for the day.
Massachusetts is also having extremely heavy rain. Most of the thunder seems to have ended before the rain reached us. Prior to the rain, temperatures were about 95 *F. I hopefully will be back later today or tomorrow. I have several days' worth of comments to read, so prayers and hugs to all!

Nice to see you Julie. I hope you did not hurt your back helping with the windows Heidi. Pleased they are in place before the rains came.
I did get plenty of sleep and then woke up too late to phone my daughter before she left for work.

June, wish your daughter a happy birthday from me. I hope she has many more and I wish you a wonderful day also.
Theresa, glad you did not have any damage from the earthquake. I heard about it but was not sure how far away it was from you.
Found out the boy at camp just lost his balance and fell. It was just a crazy accident. Haven't heard about him yet and may not until monday. Tomorrow we go swimming. The pool is across the street from my house but will not be able to go home. I am more worried about 2 weeks away when we go ice skating. That is usually good for some bumps and bruises. One of my campers fell last year and ended up with a few stitches in his mouth. He is in my group again and I told him I may not allow him to skate (I can't do that but I can joke).

June, I love the idea of the circus for a birthday celebration! I hope they have a fantastic time!
Heidi, great news about the windows... It's really moving along, or so it seems to this Aussie who is used to things moving a lot slower than that.

Good morning lovely people!
June - please pass on my birthday wishes to Belinda and a woof woof from Jewel (I think they are FB friends!) We went to the circus for Hayley's birthday last year.
Theresa - I'm glad to hear that the earthquake wasn't too bad there.
Suzy - if you think things are slow in the Aussie construction/building industry - take a look at some of the British shows, like Grand Designs or Property Ladder. Renovations can take over a year. And it's even worse on the continent! Whatever - Heidi, I'm happy your sun room is coming along well.
We may finally get our other computer back today. They found corrupt files on it and fortunately will be able to back up our data from 3rd June - our last back-up. We don't think we have downloaded photos since, which is what we were most worried about.

Well, as if things haven't been bad enough with the car being off the road being repaired and the computer being fixed - now the safety switch on our power keeps tripping. More money to be paid out!
I know it's preferable to the health problems plagueing people on these pages, but I do wonder - when will it get better? For us all?
I'm off to hibernate and scream silently. Ciao!

Cyn, you'd wonder why anyone on the continent would bother renovating with that kind of inconvenience! I guess it's what you are used to.... and triple grrrr about your safety switch.
Heidi, love your scream avatars. There are days where I feel like the last 2 - and I always feel like the first one!

Waiting for Ken to com back in (gone down the bowling club to put his footy tips in) so we can ring belinda. I will pass on your massages. I think quite a lot of you are her friends on FB.

Oh well - between Col and our neighbour they have isolated the fault to the back circuit of the house. Lights are all on a seperate circuit. Just the back bedrooms, the family room and the dishwasher are affected. Can't get an electrician until tomorrow but this is OK. Our bedroom is at the front, both of our fridges are on the front circuit as is the stove, TV, Stereo, Foxtel etc. The phone and modem/router are now plugged into an extension cord, hence I now have internet access and can watch Masterchef. WooHoo!

Birthday wishes to Isabelle. I hope she has a great 2nd birthday and maybe someday she can meet my niece Rose who was 2 in May.
Good wishes to all who need them.
Funny camp story. Today was our day go swimming. Took 39 kids and 7 counselors from my group to the pool. Other group has 6 counselors and about 30 kids. We get to the pool and are there for about 10 minutes when they had to shut down. A little boy had pooped in the pool. They had to clean and shock it and said it should only be about 1/2 hour until it safe. It ended up taking about 2 hours which was after our time to leave. They are trying to have a makeup day next week. We go once a week anyways and the pool is city owned and the camp is city run. They just have to make sure it doesn't interfere with any other trips. The kids were not happy campers this afternoon.

Ewwwwww, Tami. They should have a sign prohibiting kids that aren't housebroken. I hope the kid's parents had to pay for the cleaning and shock treatment, as well as a fine.

Afternoon all!
I've had coffee with friends again this morning. I live a difficult life....
One of the women has a 19 year old who is getting married in November. When we found out about the engagement last year I bought a wedding savings tin. Each week we add to it to help pay for the wedding. Wish the inlaws were that helpful! Her hubby's family is complaining that they 1. Don't have free accomodation available for 8 people, 2. Are throwing a tantrum because their 17 year old can't bring his girlfriend, 3. Think lunch the following day should be provided, 4. I forget 4, 5 and 6....

Happy Birthday Isabelle!!
ewew Tami! I helped write a procedure for dealing with that. I can't remember the time frame that was used.
Heidi, is IH home early or is it just that time? There wouldn't be a fine or payment requirement Heidi. Even the best trained kids have accidents.
Broni, I'm so glad your life is on the improve, but I miss you.
June, I don't know how you can resist having a drive! I would have been in the new car as soon as possible!
Rolanda - no I can't! That has gone fast. And I still don't have my pants.... :)

Haha Rolanda - when I saw a similar post from you on FB, I thought you meant it had been 1 year since MJ died, and while that was sad, I would have been surprised to see you post that. Can't believe that it's been a year since China!
Happy Birthday to Isabelle.
Broni - we miss you!
Nola {{{{hugs}}}}
Tami - love the pool story. Not surprised there were some unhappy campers!
Col and neighbour seem to have finally isolated our power problems but now the supply companies are closed for the weekend, so we wait until Monday with extension leads all over the house. I just realised this am that with a lead I can also operate the dishwasher - oh, happy day!

The miniature Lilac arrived today. I'll plant it in a day or two... it's in a 4" pot, and is only about 8" tall. Just a baby. This is a variety called "Bloomerang", a lilac purple color with a strong scent.
