Robert is having a bad day today. I had promised him that I'd tow his van, but then I discovered that the procedure we were going to use is illegal. So Robert had to find a tow truck. They started to load up the van and the rear axle broke in half. So they reconnected, and the rear wheels fell off. He's decided to give up and go home to bed, especially since he's having sharp abdominal pains. I asked him if he still had his appendix, and he said yes. I then told him to go straight to the doctor or hospital and he refused. So all I can do is cross my fingers and hope it's nothing serious.

Another day, another doctor visit. today was dermatologist, and he looked and looked, fack, neck, chest, arms, and nothing suspicious. then he got to my back and said Ahhh haaa, and had to biopsy a spot. I will not know for over a week. Oh well, it was small, so if it is a skin cancer will be easily scraped and burned.

I am in need of a nap, these days out are getting to much for me. Hope to be back later, hugs to all.

The men ran out of siding to finish the front. They're lacking only 2 pieces. Unfortunately, the pieces won't be here until next Monday. Same with the drywall. There are still plenty of vents, soffits and trim to install to keep them busy tomorrow.

Morning all!
Empty house! Last day of school for the term so it will be while before I can say that again...

Heidi, poor Robert. I hope things improve.

MizT, sorry to hear about another spot. I hope it's only a BCC if anything at all.

Happy Canada Day to our Canadian friends!

Gail, big hugs! A wonderful celebration...

Viv, your costume sounds wonderful! I hope we get to see pictures not only of you but of the whole production. It sounds like so much fun!

Rolanda, say hi to flyboy for me please! Have a great dinner!

We took an old TV (analog but it will work until the changeover) and Three's stereo over to him last night. I also used the money he gave me while he was here to buy him some phone credit, milk and bread. I printed off a couple of photos for him to stick on his walls and the girls are giving him some paintings so hopefully the room won't look as sterile soon. He is not spending his time sitting alone, he is making friends, but he looked a little regretful when we left. I think I've convinced him to spend some of the weekend with us.

Suzy, sounds like three is making the best of it. He doesn't want to burden you but at least he knows you care and he is welcome at your house.
Heidi, I hope Robert gets better soon and that you have a good weekend. You deserve it.
Gail, sounds like you had a lovely lunch. What a nice way to celebrate your mother.
Happy Canada Day to my northern neighbors.
Tricia, hope it is nothing serious that they found.
Don't remember anything else so I am going to say goodnight. I will try to come back tomorrow.

Hi everyone! Haven't posted for a while - nothing much happening here. We planted new veggies, then had gentle rain for the next few days - they're looking very happy!

Suzy, You have done a wonderful thing for Three, and I'm sure he will always remember you with gratitude. Some people shouldn't be allowed to have kids!

Viv, good luck with your show - I bet you'll be great!

Heidi, hope the new room is wonderful! :D

MizT. thinking of you, sending good thoughts your way. ♥

And good thoughts for everyone who needs them - so many people with difficult times to get through - hugs to you all. ♥

Thank you for all the Canada Day wishes. We took in the parade earlier today, had a BBQ, and just got home from the fireworks a short while ago. My daughter joined in, but now she is very tired. A good day all in all.

MizT, my thoughts are with you. As you say, it is small and caught early.

Suzy, sounds like Three has a good support system (your family).

It's almost 11:00 PM and I should get to bed as well. I have my two appointments tomorrow (squishy thing followed by ultrasound). TTFN.

Theresa, hope tomorrow goes well for you with the squishy tests. How long before you will get results? I remember the first time I had a " call back" and the waiting seemed forever. Do let us know when you know. Sending hugs and best wishes to you.

I think I shall have an early evening tonight. Something, perhaps driving up to the medical center to doc 2 days in a row, had my hand and arm achie tonight. The new, milder pain meds are not getting it tonight.

Hugs to all, see you tomorrow.

Suzy, I am cold also, and that is a wonderful thing! Our new Air conditioner is doing a great job! I happen to be sitting where the air is blowing across my left arm, and it is really getting cold, something unheard of just a few short weeks ago! YEAH, new air conditioner.

OK, I am really off to bed this time, meds are at least making me sleepy. Hugs to all.

Everybody. I have to get up first thing in the morning to go on a search mission to find a new wheel and spindle for my hay hauler. The tire is OK, but everything in the middle is trashed. This won't be an easy quest. I can't order one, I HAVE to find one tomorrow. The people who have been doing that type of repair work for me will be closing their doors after tomorrow. The guy doing all the work (not the owner) has been offered a MUCH better job with full benefits. With nobody to do the work, their closing, so if I want to get this fixed, I have to do it tomorrow.

Right - now I can breathe, now I can talk.
My car is back and all fixed (except that they have to do the paintwork protection in 6 weeks). Such a relief. I haven't been able to do anything without hubby which has been a burden of both of us.
Gail - nice celebration for your Mum's birthday.
Suzy - I hope all goes well for Three.
Heidi - sorry about the mishap with your tractor.
Julie - welcome back!

Today feels like a bad day, although nothing bad has happened to me.

Hubby went to a funeral for a man who was building a boat. He was going to build a plane next, and then he was going to be the oldest person to sail around the world.

Three's boss has been caught out embezzling and is now pointing the finger at his employees, including Three. Three is only 16 so he doesn't have a clue that he is blameless and has nothing to worry about so is really worried. Hubby and I are planning on going and confronting his 'boss' tomorrow. Scum bag!!

I am so lucky and it's not fair or right!!!!

Suzy - life is so often unfair. So many people have no sense of justice or fairness. As you say, Three is blameless at 16 - unless he's a crafty sly lad, which he isn't, and anyone investigating would see that.
I do wish him the best as he makes his way ahead. He's somebody's son, brother, grandson or nephew - where are these people??? What is wrong with their souls that they don't care! (sorry - venting)

Suzy... I've said it before, and I'll say it again.... You are wonderful. I am so glad that Three knows that someone is on his side and believes him. And I don't know if an investigator would be able to see the truth about Three's honesty and honor. If he interviewed Three's sister or mother, he could be lead to believe that Three is a major delinquent and thug. Poor Three has been let down by so many screwed up adults (parents + boss) that it's amazing that he can trust anybody.

I was able to find all the necessary parts for the hay hauler. I found out that this disaster was my fault for overloading the hay hauler. Nobody ever told me that there was a weight limit to what it could carry, or what it was. I just assumed that if my tractor could pull it, and the hay could fit on it, everything was OK. I mean, EVERYBODY around here loads their hay haulers the same way that I did, so I assumed that was the way to do it. I never thought that everyone did it wrong, and regularly had to do major repairs on broken wheels and fittings. Now I know.

Good afternoon everyone. Just got back from my squishy appointment. The radiologist called me in afterwards and showed me the previous two squishies I had had and showed me that this latest one was so clear they could see there was obviously nothing wrong. The ultrasound was not necessary. He told me my family doctor was supposed to tell me, but he didn't want me to have to wait any longer for good news. YAHOO. Finally I can breathe a bit easier. Thanks to everyone for being there for me. Now I can concentrate on my daughter.

Suzy, it never rains but it pours for Three. So many adults talk about how young people are bad; what about all the so-called adults in Three's life, aside from your family? He must be one disillusioned young man. Bless you for keeping an eye for him.

Heidi, glad you have the parts for the hay hauler. Is this your own hay that you're hauling or do you buy it off another farmer. I can remember spending hours on end in a hay mow when I was younger ... the temperatures were always so much hotter up there.

Welcome back, Julie.

Gotta run and get something to eat. I was too nervous this morning to have breakfast.

This is my own hay I'm hauling. It's just easier and faster to move the hay over half a mile on the hauler than going back and forth using the tractor only.

Congratulations on those great squishy results!!!!

Suzy..poor Three,we are glad he has you helping him.

Heidi..I'm glad no one was hurt in the accident and you did manage to get the parts.

Cyn...I bet you can't wait to get out and about in your car again. It is such a nuisance relying on others to get around.

MizT.. Sorry to hear you are still having difficulty sleeping and having pain with the hand.
How are the tomatoes going? Yeah for air con.

Robert is on his way to the hospital. He arrived here for work today in a lot of pain. He wouldn't go when I told him to, but his father ordered him to go. Apparently he has a ruptured hernia. His father is driving him there.

Gee, Heidi, I hope that Robert is soon doing better. I am glad someone ordered him to go and he listened. Some things you just cannot ignore. Do let us know how he is when you know.

Nola, I think it is my fault I am hurting again. I think I did too many exercises with too much weight. Getting in a hurry, trying to force this to get better, and that is something I cannot do. I only did as many reps as she had me do in " class", but that wa a big increase. I should have worked up to that gradually for my 3x a day exercises. I might just learn fore this is well. Tomatoes are not doing as well as I expected. they got some disease, wilt, and the cure is to rip them up and plant resistant plants. I am still getting tomatoes, but they are smaller an not as many. but they do taste good!

Hubby is calling me, we need to run a couple errands, I will check back later.

Bye MizT..I could understand you doing too much at once and in a hurry to get the hand better.
I cannot grow tomatoes, unless they just come up by themselves.I have more luck with the cherry tomatoes, which seem to be resistant to bugs etc.
