TIME TO VOTE AGAIN.
heidi and other topsiders, this is your reminder. I am off to cast my vote again. If they do not get funded, it will not be from lack of trying.

It's way too hot to work on fence. It's 95℉ (35℃) with a heat index of nearly 110℉ (44.3℃). So I've got Robert moving hay for me, instead, in my air conditioned tractor. The side of my head hurts so much that I don't feel like doing much of anything.

Heidi, can you talk to your dentist today? See if she wants to start you on antibiotics fore you come in on Thursday? Can she even do the surgery until some of the infection is cleared? If it is traveling to the sinuses, I fear it could also travel to your brain, and we do NOT want that!! I will be so glad when you can see your dentist, I have worried about you.

I'm trying to vote. It's throwing up at me this morning though. We'll have to work a little harder, it's only ranked 9th so far and it has to get up to the top 2!!

Good Morning everyone! I love days off in the middle of the week. I'm still sitting here in my nightgown, not showered and not breakfasted either. It's damp and miserable outside and I'm not planning on doing anything at all today.
Suzy, what can I say except "Kids!!!" They always forget the important things and expect us parents to sort it out for them.
Heidi, I'm sorry to hear about Robert's daughter. He has more than enough problems already.
Cyn, I'm glad to hear Jean's funeral went well. Keep warm and I hope the bronchitis starts to clear up. I come down with all sorts of complaints when I'm under stress.
Rolanda, I hope they keep your Mum in there and sort out all her problems for her. Hugs to you and the family.
June, I hope your cold starts to improve soon. This one has been hanging on for quite a while now.
Brenda, I hope the weather improves for the music festival. Have a great time.
MizT, anytime you get sick of cooking for Al could you come to my house? I'm sick of cooking for my lot. Last night the apprentice went out and the student and his girl (it was her birthday yesterday) had a sleep. It was just hubby and I eating before I had to go to a meeting. We had birthday cake when I came home -we lit the candles and stuck a sparkler in the middle - Chocolate mud cake with profriterols (sp?) Yummy!!

i just had a run in with a couple walking their dog in the park behind our house.
My dog barks and carries on when people let their dogs run loose (there are signs everywhere telling them to keep their dogs on a lead).
Reg was going ballistic barking and whining and running up and down the fence in the mud. Without thinking I said "Would you put that damn dog on a lead" and the man replied that he was just throwing a ball for the dog. I told him it was not an offleash park. He replied that it wasn't his fault that I couldn't stop my dog from barking and I told him that Reggie wears an anti-bark collar.
I've now tightened Reggies collar and he won't bark now but if those inconsiderate people would keep their dogs on a lead he wouldn't need to bark. He ignores dogs that are on leads. He barks at the loose dogs to encourage them to come and play with him.
All the neighbourhood dogs bark at dogs off leads. It must be time to contact my local councillor about this again. I feel like the neighbour from hell but I'm trying to stop my dog from barking as it disturbs the peace in the area and we don't want complaints.

Hi all. Stopping in to send good wishes to everyone. It was a rainy day at camp. I ended up having a rotten day at camp. There was a disagreement with one of my counselors. I spoke with one of the camp directors and was told to "write him up" on a minor incident report. It basically was insubordination. He is a good kid but a little "hot-headed" at times. I will have to deal with this tomorrow. I have worked as a counselor for 5 years and this is the first time I have had to write up another counselor. I am the head counselor for my group so it is my responsibility.

Vicki, report him. Leashes aren't required to control noise, they are for public safety. You could consider your dog a deputy! Your poor dog having to have the collar!! Here you would call the Council Rangers.
Tami, sometimes being the boss sucks. At least he can learn a lesson at camp and not end up losing a job later in life due to insubordination.

Vicki, now which of my culinary masterpieces inspired you to invite me to be guest chef at your house? We do not eat so fancy here. but I do enjoy cooking. I will come cook if you will chop and open those hard to open packages for me.
We had Mexican pot pie tonight, mince, peppers, onions, tomatoes, red beans, taco seasoning and cheese with a cornbread crust. One of hubby's favorites.
Tami, thandk you for voting twice. I have been voting twice also, once for me and once for AL.
Rolanda, Here meds from home are rarely allowed in any of our health facilities. If the doctors want you to have it, they order it and it is given. I guess things are different there?? Sorry you have to go again today, I know you already had a full day with the grocery shopping and such. Hugs to you sweetie.

Rolanda, that might be a good idea for today. Good to know meds from home are not usually allowed there either. Must be a unusual med, if they cannot get it for 3 days.
I am off to bed, hugs to all, with extras.

Coffee break time! Anyone want to join me? Coffee is much nicer with a friend, with one exception - the first coffee of the day belongs in a completely quiet room with a window looking out at the sunrise. Or birds when I sleep in.

Hi, Everyone!
I can't believe I have 5 pages to get caught up again. It's past 11:30 and I only had about 3 hours of sleep last night, so I'm not going to last very long! Although I theoretically could have slept about twice that, I just couldn't sleep. In fact, I think I've just decided that I need to try to get some sleep.
Sending hugs and positive vibes to all, and I will hopefully get here tomorrow earlier and less tired! Good Night!

Suzy, I agree that maybe this will teach him a lesson. It is not the first time I have been "the boss" nor is it the first time I have had to do something like this, just the first time at camp. At 25 I was a manager in a retail store and had to fire an employee for "telling me off." The employee was almost twice my age. I found out that she had quit her full time job and was trying to get fired from her part-time job in order to try to collect unemployment. It ended up backfiring on her. She could not collect unemployment as she was terminated with just cause, not for reasons beyond her control.
