HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Laura
Oh June, I love the smell of sheets dried in the sun and the wind. I am lucky to have good air quality here in the country to dry my sheets and sun my pillows. Sending huge hugs to you and your friend.

*** GROSS WARNING***
Back from the Dentists. No oral surgery done today. The Dentist did an exam and took x-rays. While the gum has healed over, the bone has not closed up, and there is an infection pushing through from the sinus cavity through the bone and pushing a big pocket of infection out just above the tooth in question. She's putting me on the strongest antibiotic in her arsenal for 20 days, then, if it hasn't cleared up, she'll have to go in again.

IH is in a good mood. As soon as I got out of the Dentist's office, I called him on his cell phone. He was at the airport at the car rental counter, and had just discovered that that short time rental was going to cost him 4 times as much as he expected. So I picked him up at the airport and saved him about $125. Then, as we were heading home, he got a call that his truck was ready to be picked up. So I dropped him off to get his truck. He's a happy camper now.

Yeah, we're having short little thunderstorms. The dogs aren't even that upset. A little shaking is all.

In a message from my daughter, I received this bit about your voting for the autism dogs for children. She asked that I pass it on to you.
"I'm so grateful to your friends. They are making the difference! Please thank them for me. "

Read the posts but don't remember most of what I have read. Have to fling food. I will try to come back later and read.
Hope everyone is having a great day.

Thanks for the reminder!!
I'm completely blown away. For the fundraiser today Ally is singing one of her songs and a cover. She was practicing this morning and later I asked 'which one of your songs are you doing?' she said 'I'm so sorry'. No, not which one are you singing, which one of YOUR songs. That is my song mum. You wrote that? Yes mum. But I thought that was a famous one? She's said it 3 times already woman, it's her song, says hubby. Knock me over with a feather...

I laughed out loud when I read the last line of this story. Well, it was more of a cross between a bellow, a laugh and a snort... thank goodness I have an empty house.

That was amusing, Suzy. The driver knew perfectly well what he was doing. I've never gone over 130 MPH myself, but that was in a car that could do 247 MPH. I would love to get back in that car again, and see how fast I really could go.

Tami, yay! Last day of camp! That means you have a whole weekend off... Well a week or so without kids anyway, which has to be better than nothing.
Exactly Heidi, how could he expect anyone to believe he didn't know he was going almost 200 mph? Not even a nice try!

Julie, too bad you are the only one who does such a wonderful summary of the posts, you could use one to catch you up. Glad you stopped in to say HI even if you cannot comment on the posts now.
Cyn, do get better soon. Asthma can be so dangerous, take proper care there dear friend.
Suzy, what a cute story, you did not know a song she was practicing was HER song. I hope she took that as the compliment I saw it to be! Right up there with the famous songs
Way to go Ally!
Heidi, you are one to talk and shake your rolling pin (pen?) at someone. I remember about a week's worth of posts asking if you had called to get antibiotics for that infected tooth. How is it doing? Has a day of super strength antis helped any yet?
I have warmed, exercised and iced my thumb/wrist/hand. now it is time for bedtime meds. I am getting sleepy.
Hugs to all and extras to June and her friend and anyone else who needs extras.

Dogs are eating now. Lady is really adjusting well. She eagerly eats meals now, and has figured out that eating in a crate is a good thing. (No competition) She still has to learn how to use the dog door.

Finally getting some more reading done . . .
Hi, MizT, Heidi, June, Suzy, Vicki, Tami, Rolanda, CynB, Broni, vdV, Brenda (all on page 304)! Hi to Nola who joined the others on page 305!
MizT, I've been voting for the autism dogs - what a great cause!
Heidi, I hope the infection gets cleared up! Hope the dentist was able to work magic today! So sorry to hear about Robert's D; I hope she and the young man and their families are able to make the right decision!
June, hope you're soon feeling much better and can put the cold and cough out of the picture!
Suzy, I hope Ally and Mohawk get all of their songs well prepared in time! Still very concerned about Three! How very scary to have been singled out by the gang! Congrats to Ebob for easing the fears of the woman who fell! She obviously had learned a thing or 2 from her Mum. Suzy, you can be quite proud of your Ds! Oh, dear, SO sorry Ebob has such an awful teacher! Is there anything that can be done? It sounds like a harassment type of situation.
Cyn, I'm sorry I wasn't able to post encouraging words before your MIL's funeral! You and Col and the extended family obviously did an excellent job of honoring her memory! I hope your asthma and bronchitis clear up quickly!
Rolanda, I hope the stay in the hospital helps to convince your Mum that she would benefit from assisted living! I hope she is better and didn't suffer any fractures!
Brenda, have a wonderful time at the music festival. Hope the weather improves for it!
Theresa, thinking of you and your family and hoping the just-right part-time job is just around the corner!
Tami, I'm sure you're glad that the end of camp is in another day. Hopefully the counselor you had to write up will learn from his mistake!
Nola, good luck with the tough assignment! I don't know how you juggle all you do!
Cyn, thanks for the "hello!" I really think you hit the nail on the head when you said that people and kids are taught their rights but are not taught how to use them fairly and justly! I hope your lunch with Karin and your former mother-in-law Eva were wonderful!
Rolanda, my apologies for leaving off the final a! I must have been tired or in a hurry! My story - and I'm sticking to it! Thinking of your Mum and crossing my fingers that this episode may help to convince her that assisted living would be an excellent idea for her!
June, sending some quiet {{{{hugs}}}} your way and to your friend as well! Also sending prayers and positive vibes! Hopefully the doctors can find something that will work better! Good luck with your dental appointment, June!
to Laura! Hope she has a wonderful fifth birthday with a yummy
! (I seem to remember there was a practice cake a week or so ago.)
Heidi, I hope the super-duper antibiotic gets the infection cleared up! Please take good care of yourself! I'm glad IH is in a good mood because of the money you saved him!
Suzy, I love that you thought one

Suzy, I love that you thought one of Ally's songs was a famous one! Hopefully she took that as a compliment!
Sending lots of huge (but gentle) super-duper effective (I hope) {{{{{HUGS}}}}} to everyone! There are extras for anyone who could use extra! Also sending positive vibes to everyone! I think I'm pretty much caught up on my reading.
I have a request for some prayers and positive vibes for a couple of friends. One of them (Nena) was a classmate throughout school, has had brain cancer, bone cancer, and now has lesions in her lungs. The other (Wendy) is a friend from water aerobics class and has just been diagnosed with cancer (lymphoma, but it is in her breast). She will meet with a surgeon next week. I firmly believe that the members of Sudokuaholics are an effective and supportive group and know that you are all positive forces! Thank you!

Julie, prayers going for Nena and Wendy. The 'C' is just getting to everyone. You take care of yourself.
Have to go back to the dentist again next week as the porcelain crown did not fit properly. It was very hard for him to get a good impression because the tooth is right at the back.
Not sure if we will see Laura tonight. When I rang her this morning she insisted it was not her birthday today. That would be on Sunday when she has her party. Sharon has worked today and as she is probably tired she does not see the point of us all going to the Chinese restaurant if Laura does not think she is now five.

Heidi, I do hope you can get that infection cleared up.
Cyn, take care and get well. The windy weather and all the recent stress does not help.
Suzy, I do hope Ally will be able to make a career with her singing. You certainly have a talented Daughter(s).
If that driver had said he thought he was in Germany it would have made sense.
My then Son/law was driving slowly (170k/h) so that I would not be frightened. Cars were whizzing past as though we were standing still. There was no speed limit on the autobahns.
