June, I loved your son and MIL stories! A good laugh is always a good thing… though I did question my sense of humour . I think the aprons will be fine. Ally is in year 8 and she is as tall as I am. A tad narrower though - just a tad….

Heidi, I bet the speeches felt very very long until you had a few courses under your belt! It would have been interesting to hear the chefs speak though. What did they say about your lamb? The most elegant dinner I have ever had was at The Hobbit in Orange, CA. It was our 5th wedding anniversary celebration.

Rolanda, I’m glad they let your mother out. That’s a good sign. I hope the birthday celebration goes very very well!

MizT, the only way to keep Nomnom off the bed is to shut the door. She dive attacks us! All in fun of course, but it still hurts. I have flung my hand up to defend myself and ended up with her flying to the other side of the bed. Doesn’t bother her in the least - just part of the game. We even have to shut the hallway door as she cries at the bedroom doors all night long if we don’t.

Heidi, did you smile when Gil had to fork over the money or did you manage to just smile on the inside? I probably would have had to go and powder my nose or something so I could be discreet…

Viv, good luck with your test results from tomorrow. I hope everything is going smoothly there. Noice topp!

It is very late, and I am SOOO not here...having said that, I just wanted you to know I have just received an email from Becky, and she wants to let you know 'that things are pretty rough right now, but I'll be back'. Great to hear from her one way or another, can't wait till she comes back to play. ♥

Of course I smiled when IH turned white as a sheet. And I reminded him about just how hard he worked to get me to come, too.
I took a quick photo with the computer as I was talking on here last night. The bodice of the dress is visible, at least. I'll post it for a day or 2, then remove it. I still need to get some pictures up of the barn and sunroom, and hope to do that next week.

I'd better get dressed, and get ready for work. Robert slept late as well. He had a fantastic time at the concert last night,

Heidi, never thought anything of that comment, honest.
I'm away from home on holiday in the caravan. Weather is ******, not so much foggy but low cloud and windy. Anyway it gets me away from the house and the work that involves.

Quiet day on site.
It's miserably hot outside again, so I'm not getting much done. Robert put in 2 hours, then went home to clean up and head off to a pro wrestling match. He has to help set up the ring, then he's working security tonight.

I don't know if anyone noticed on Easy, but Grass-hopper is traveling to the States next week. She and I will be meeting up on Sunday. She will probably visit my farm, depending on time.

Good Morning my Friends.
Heidi, you look great!
Laughed out loud about IH having to pay, what is even more amazing is that he had enough money to pay was sure you were going to say that you had to pay again Heidi.

Heidi, you are officially the master of rubbing it in! I would never have thought to remind him about pushing for you to come too!! I am seriously impressed... The photo is fantastic, you should leave it there. I'm glad Robert enjoyed the concert. Quite a contrast to pro-wrestling.

I'm watching rosellas and a lorikeet with a red head and yellow breast foraging in my yard. I've never seen that colouring before, other than in books. My morning WOW...

Top of the Afternoon to one and all... Heidi, loved the picture and think it would make a great avatar... Broni, I too laughed out loud at IH's discomfort and was surprised that Heidi didn't have to come to the rescue again...will wonders never cease.
June, I thought it was fascinating that 'Now is the Hour' was sung at weddings...I like that song even more...
Vi I too was impressed at that recent Avon order...good work does pay off.
I agree with the observation that SA9 has its own Phantom here...AND we were having summaries first...Go Julie!
Read much more, but craft has taken over...Hugs, Peace and all sorts of good vibes to all who need them...extra for Rola and her mum...Peace.

Sigh. I have to go to vote. I'm seriously tempted by the blank piece of paper after this campaign... Wishes to all!

My house smells soooo good. I made eggplant lasagna for tonight. and I am drooling, waiting till hubby is ready to eat. Not long now

Suzy, can you submit a blank ballot? I know your attendance at voting place is mandatory, but do you have that option?

Good to see Mamacita here again. visit when you can, whether you comment on everything or not. Tell us how things are in your little corner.

Heidi, agree with Suzy, leave your " all dressed up" photo on your page, it is nice. How nice you are going to have another sudoku meet up, I do hope Linda gets to visit your farm, she should MAKE time for it, would be the highlight of her trip, a real working farm.

Hope to get back later, hugs to all.

Evening all.

Heidi, ditto to what everyone else said about your photo. It would make a nice avatar. Thanks for posting it.

I am so going to bed soon (it's not quite 8:00 PM). I spent the afternoon outside with the grandies and the fresh air has knocked me out. The weather lately has not had the humidity we had before, so it has been pleasant out.

BTW, my daughter did most of her own morning chores today ... I just gave the medicine to one of her cats. So today was a good day for her. I hope there are more of those for her because it is still a long way until the surgery. She has already made arrangements to have the school bus pick up and drop off the girls at the end of our driveway. Before that we had to bring them to the end of the block, so this will make it easier for her in case I find work where obviously I can't dictate my own hours. School starts here on Sept. 7.

So TTFN and take care everyone. I had just tried to vote on the Pepsi site, but it wouldn't let me do it for a second time.

Theresa, I'm glad the humidity has decreased. did you do some knitting while you were out? (That is, did you have some therapy?) Great news about your daughter. I hope she has mostly days like that!

MizT, I'm drooling too. Ally is doing the 40 hour famine so I am trying not to eat around her. My tummy is grumbling!! I have to confess to a packet of chocolates hidden in the drawer, but I am trying to resist...

When we vote we are given 2 pieces of paper - one for the Senate and the other for the House of Representatives. We go to a booth, fold them up, and put them in the boxes on the way out. If they were blank, nobody would know until the counting. There is actually someone out there suggesting everyone do it to send a message that campaigns like this one should never happen again. I have to admit that as I was leaving I heard the 2 Christian Democrat volunteers having a discussion about whether h0m0s3xuality was an illness or a disease and I wanted to run back in and rip my voting papers out and redo them with them at the bottom...

Hi everyone, hope you're all well. :)

Up to date with the reading, but not much to say for myself - things are very quiet here!

Heidi, the music I listened to in the 70s was definitely NOT main-stream - I was a "folky", which meant going to bush-dances, folk-festivals, etc. We had a lot of fun, but Rob was always into the heavier stuff - Uriah Heep, Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, etc. Sometimes now he puts on music that makes me go into another room ... and shut the door ... :0

MizT - yes we can put in a blank ballot - the important thing is getting your name ticked off ... what you do afterwards is your own business. It's a waste, but your own choice.

Ok, have a great day everyone. :)

Afternoon all,
Well I have the present for the party tonight. Not sure if I'm ready to play the part of Luna Verz, but I guess I'll go with the flow. Hubby is Sherlock Tracey. I'm an astronaut who is a bit of a SmA and thinks she's all that, he's a famous investigator who talks in cliches and rhymes. I hope one of us is the murderer!!!

I wish I had a digital TV in the bedroom and I could go to bed and not have to watch election results.
I took Laura home this morning as she had a birthday party to go to. That girl has a lot to deal with for a five year old. She told me her biggest worries and we had a few tears together.

Neither of us was the murderer, but hubby was murdered! I was a suspect because he was cheating me out of my inheritance and my fingerprint was on the murder weapon - a champagne bottle. I was also a bit of a crook because I was taking bribes to take people up in my rocket or shuttle or whatever it was. The Feds were on to me though and I wasn't far off arrest...
