Okay, now I'm just being a cow and stirring them up. I should not find that fun, I should not find that fun, I should not find that fun....

Well, I am off to bed to see if I can sleep the full night. My SIL leaves at noonish tomorrow to stay at a friend's cottage for the weekend, so I will have to be available 24/7 for my daughter. Her MIL is coming to spend the night on Saturday so that hubby and I can take his mother for a drive on Sunday. Catch you all tomorrow (or later if I can't sleep). Have a great day/evening/night.

Sleep well Theresa! Although I would love you to come back since I have nobody here pulling on my strings, I'd rather you got a good night sleep.

Nearly midnight, and i just got home. We had a blast (tho' no Shatner sightings) but we had to literally walk miles. I have huge blisters on the bottoms of my feet. And I am very tired.

Theresa... Keep the jokes coming! Laughter is the best medicine, and we can all use a good dose of it.

I was my typical clumsy self today. First my drink bottle escaped from my hands, ricocheted off one person in front of me, then rolled under the seats of the row in front of that, scaring them. Then I tripped over a bump on the walkway and had a spectacular pratfall. Then I accidently smacked some stranger on the back of his head with my purse (which is heavy). Every time anyone in our group of four stumbled, tripped, or did anything clumsily, it was called "doing a Heidi". Where have I heard that before?

Hi, Everyone! Another late day here - nearly midnight and I'm just getting started.

Hi, Theresa, Suzy, Broni, Rolanda, Judy, V Viv, Tami, Heidi, Gail, MizTricia, and anyone I've missed!

Theresa, I can comment on blonds because I was also born very blond. I have earned the changes - first darker and now working on lighter. I hope you were able to get some sleep overnight!

Yes, Suzy, the terminology for the new planet in the Goldilocks zone and the Terminator are rather clever. I wonder how many more planets will be found in our lifetimes that could support life as we know it.

Rolanda, the mini quiches sound yummy! Just a little too far for me to get there for dinner!

Suzy, (speaking very quietly), I hope things become a bit less awkward as the weekend progresses. Perhaps she was just trying to show some responsibility when she said she was going to use her money and get some change.

Viv, excellent total for Avon orders! You go, Girl!

Tami, I'm glad the usual bus driver is more reliable! Mitchell has certainly set himself an admirable goal! When we establish our SA commune, he can be our doctor!

Theresa, I hope the rain passed you by today. Hopefully, you are now sleeping. The same for MizT! Its so aggravating when you feel tired but just can't get to sleep!

I would vote for continued jokes here. Are people choosing "Joke" as a comment type? I never remember to do that, and hope it doesn't upset anyone. Same for recipe. Fortunately, we don't have a set number of allotted minutes, so we aren't bothered.

Heidi, I'm glad you are home and safe. Hopefully it was enjoyable. Too bad you had a clumsy event or two! Sleep well!

It's nearly 1 a.m. now. I'm going to check Suzy's link, as I'm intrigued by the thought of being able to adjust the focus of glasses!

Sending {{{{{HUGS}}}}} and positive vibes for everyone! See you tomorrow!

Little Firefighter

If you don't laugh at this one, you're not breathing…..

A firefighter was working on the engine outside the Station, when he noticed a little girl nearby in a little red wagon with little ladders hung off the sides and a garden hose tightly coiled in the middle.

The girl was wearing a firefighter’s helmet.

The wagon was being pulled by her dog and her cat.

The firefighter walked over to take a closer look. 'That sure is a nice fire truck,' the firefighter said with admiration.

'Thanks,' the girl replied.
The firefighter looked a little closer. The girl had tied the wagon to her dog's collar and to the cat's test icles.

'Little partner,' the firefighter said, 'I don't want to tell you how to run your rig, but if you were to tie that rope around the cat's collar, I think you could go faster. '

The little girl replied thoughtfully, 'You're probably right, but then I wouldn't have a siren.'

Broni, not at the moment!! Sometimes I do though...

I forgot to comment on Splotch and how wonderful it all sounds. Lots of good therapy in there...

Julie, I completely forget to change the type of comment in here! I have my settings set to see everything so I wouldn't even notice if anyone else did...

Heidi, I hope the only thing injured was your pride! It sounds like you had a good night anyway, which is great. I wish you'd had a sighting though.

Darn, blast, rats...

I was driving home just now and thought to myself that I had planned on stopping for something on my way home. I couldn't think of anything and decided I didn't need anything and would rather just get home. No cat food!!!

Mum's advice was half/half plain and self raising flour, and an ice cold stubby of beer. I think it was two cups of flour per stubby

I drove to the closest garage Broni. The last time I tried to give Nomnom people food (crab) he refused to eat it! He also doesn't like Whiskas or cat food based on meat. Only the no name fish based food. Yet he loves banana bread so much he will eat it out of my hand if I'm not quick enough, and Krispy Kreme doughnuts have him doing cartwheels... go figure.

Good morning from me to you. I had an interrupted sleep of about six hours, so that's better.

Around midnight a cat fight started with Splotch and one of our other cats Frasier. Frasier, who is a big fraidy cat, has been stalking Splotch since he came in the house last Monday. Last night Splotch had had enough and he went after Frasier with a vengeance. I had a hard time breaking up the fight and Splotch was out for blood. Frasier lost bladder control in his effort to get away. This morning everyone is afraid of Splotch. This is not good. Although I am very much against declawing, if we keep Splotch we might have to have him declawed. I can't believe I'm saying that, but I had never seen a fight like the one last night. Oh dear, what to do, what to do.

I am loving the jokes. I never thought to click on the "joke" category when I submit.

Heidi, glad you had a good time, even if you "did a Heidi" several times.

How are things in your world, Julie.

It sounds like June is having a good time. I'm so glad to hear that.

It is currently not raining, but there's a chance of more showers today (30%). Once it's light out in about an hour I have a shot of having a coffee outside. Fingers crossed.

Off to do the usual morning stuff. Is it a sign that you need a life when one of your first stops in the morning is the computer? TTFN.

Hi all. Had the choice of grading some papers or playing on the pooter. Tough choice.
Theresa, I am trying to not let Mitchell graduate early. I want him to have homecoming, prom and all the other senior activities. I may let him do dual enrollment. He can take classes at the local college while still in high school. If he continues in the program he is in, he will have mostly Advanced Placement classes in high school. AP classes, if you pass the end of course exam, count for college credit. He can graduate high school with enough credits to start college as a junior. It would save money.

Theresa, that cat fight sounds like a doozy. Sorry it woke you up but glad you at least got some sleep.
Heidi, glad you had fun even if you did have a few minor incidents. Knowing you history, glad it was nothing serious.
Broni, you can send more jokes also. Can always use a good laugh.
I will try to come back later. Hope everyone has a great day/night.

Glad to hear that you don't want him to graduate too young, Tami. I think if kids are much younger than their peers at college or university, they miss out on a lot of valuable learning and growing experiences.

Suzy, hugs, hugs, hugs.

Good evening - just a quick call-in. I hate it when I can't keep up here because even if I read the 3 pages I missed, I forget everything. Love to all and hugs to those in need.
The girls have gone but we'll see them all again tomorrow when we go to the beach where Karin and her family are holidaying. Andrew and his girls will be there as well. Looks like it might be too cool to have a swim - where is summer??
Hayley and I went to visit Mum today then on to the movies to see 'Despicable Me' - mildly amusing, could have been worse. Nighty-night - back to normal after tomorrow I hope.

Hi Nola, good luck on the assignment. BTW, it wasn't scabies my sister got vaccinated for, but I have again forgotten what it was. I knew about 10 minutes ago, but now it's gone. My poor aching brain must be overloaded (or lazy).

It was wonderful. But it's impossible to see everything on the grounds in one day, even if you go to no events. If you attend events, like we did, you can see even less. Especially if you have long walks between everything. For instance, it was a 45 minute walk between the food tents and the arena where the reining was (the event we had tickets for). So, just to go get something to eat and walk back was 1 1/2 hours. And it was 1 1/4 hours walk from the reining arena to the parking lot. They kinda forgot to arrange for a good shuttle system for spectators.
