I have a peacock due to arrive at the main USPS hub in the next county in half an hour. This is a yearling blue pied. In other words, he has odd splashes of white over his body and tail.

Aggggggggggggggghhhhh! I just had a long answer to all the posts. I had opened a seperate page so I could read and answer. some wrong click of the mouse ahd the page I was writing on closed. AGGGHHHHHHHHHE. No time to re do this morning.
I have to call about tylenol arthritis formula that was recalled. I have a bottle of it, took most of it. This might explain the stomach problems I had, Doc and I thought it was the metformin, my BS medication. that was the only medication I was taking that had reported stomach problems, UNTIL NOW. The recalled Tylenol could cause stomach pain and nausea, and diarrhea, yep, that was what was happening. I took almost the entire bottle over time.
I got squished yesterday. Easiest in and out I have had. Hospital where I go has a parking problem usually and the parking deck is a long distance. they discontinued the valet parking, but I phoned fore I went and they do have a shuttle on call, phone them and they come get you. Well, I tried the lot out front when I got there, LOTS of empty spaces, and I got one right in front of the section I needed, the diagnostic center. I was in and out in 30 minutes. Waiting rooms were almost empty. Perhaps because this is between holidays and not much going on? I know most hospitals are low census this week and many doctors are not in, so not many tests scheuled? I am glad it was such an easy trip. I also got the tech, BETH, who is wonderful, sweet, and does not trap your tender parts in a vise. A good day. Results will not be ready till next year, most likely.
OK, I am off to phone about the recalled tylenol. Hugs to all.

Heidi, with a husband who could ruin a shirt in hours, I think you need to buy his shirts at a thrift store. Back when Al and I first met, he was working on copy machines. Many of this older accounts still had liquid toner machines. That stuff was IMPOSSIBLE to remove from a shirt, and he always seemed to spill it. His shirts came from thrift store.
Nola, do drop in to say HI and let us know how you are doing, You are excused from reading all the pages. Best wishes for your studies.
Tami, good luck with the sewing machine. Do you still have the manual for it? If not, many of them are available as a free download online. The one I had included instructions of how to balance the tension, that is the most frequent problem with the Kenmore machines. I loved my Kenmore, still have it, not working, stored somewhere. It is the machine I used and sewed miles of seams on it making the girls and my clothes and all the curtains and draperies for my new house, Oh, over 40 years ago.

Morning everyone!
Oh MzT - I just HATE when that happens (wrong "click")...sure hope you find out about that tylenol.
Nola - congrats on the studies and I, too, hope you find time to just pop in once in awhile.
Gail - so glad to hear Beth made it OK - can't wait to hear about her time there...I just know she will have a fabulous trip!
Good to see you Suzanne. I have been through Wendover often on my trips across the states. Never won there either - haha! Glad you guys had fun.
Heidi - your peacock that is on the way sounds so exotic! Hope it arrives safely.
Suzy - good luck to Ally for her solos tomorrow night and blessings to your mum on her way home. Sounds like she had a nice long stay with you guys.
Tami - OUTSTANDING! Sounds like you got a real jump on the New Year and getting organized. I'm hoping to follow in your footsteps here over the next couple of weeks.
Raining here and no snow like they predicted. Can you guess that I am WAY bummed????
Hugs and well wishes to you all!

Vici, I found about the Tylenol. the bottle I have is on the recall list. It contained 100 caplets. I took almost 90 of them over the last 2 or 3 months. Sorry you did not get your wanted snow. You can have any they might want to send my way. I can do that much for a friend

Last day of 2009. I always feel maudlin as the year ends. Then apprehensive of what the new year will have in store for us. Today we need to visit a friend who lost her husband on Boxing day and then a new grand niece who was born Monday.
Heidi, I am sorry you have caught the bug. Please do not pass it on down here! My Hubby has a bad cold (other members in the family have had it!) so I am keeping away from him.
MizT, Hope getting rid of that Tylenol bottle will help you feel better. What a mixed blessing medications can be.
For all who may Pop in today I will wish you all a Happy New Year. May it only have good things in store for us all.

When Mum says she is going to leave at the crack of dawn, she means she is going to leave at the crack of dawn! She left nearly an hour ago. I got my goodbye hug by calling her - she came back to give me one...

June, an ending and a new beginning. I think the order you are visiting is best, sadness followed by something to cheer you up. Sending cyber hugs....♥
MizT, I'm sorry you had all of those weeks wondering what was going on before they found out that it was your Tylenol. I hope that your health improves! Though somehow you have managed to improve even with potentially contaminated pain pills!

Good afternoon all. It is still Wednesday here. The congratulations on the organizing are to soon. I got one small area of the garage cleaned. It would take a dumpster to ever be able to fit a car in there again. I am hoping to try the machine out one of these days. I brought home a big stack of papers to grade and have not started yet. I have 5 days to finish.

Vici, isn't it sad that some people are getting way too much snow and you can't get any? I hope you get some before the end of winter. Actually, doesn't your snow pack keep SoCal in water for summer? If I've remembered that correctly I bet you aren't the only one wishing you'd get snow!

I'll need to have a nanna nap today to make it through tonight. Ally has her usual songs with Pride (about a dozen I think) with 3 of her songs in that bunch - Pride backing her. She also has 2 solos with no people backing, which might turn into 4 because there are so many sick people out there. She was supposed to sing I Got Nerve and Who Said (both Hannah Montanna) but decided she wanted to try Colours of the Wind (from Pocahontas) and Ben (MJ). She might get to do all 4. Hubby and I were talking yesterday about how it's lucky she doesn't sound on stage like the sound that wafts through the house when she's rehearsing. It's awful! I remember frantically calling her teacher one time asking 'are you sure she's ready?' One theory is that it's the acoustics. I'll stick with that one.

Thank you Greg!
Tami, I'll give it a go. I'm actually a bit nervous for her as she has only sung Colours of the Wind in public once before - about 15 months ago, and never Ben. Also she's in the program at about 8.45pm after a 5pm start so may be a tad tired. Oh well, only time will tell...

Tami... I believe that the hardest part of any project is starting it. From now on, the job is a smaller one. I still say "WELL DONE", too.
BTW, the hats arrived today. I'm too sick to get enthusiastic about trying them on yet. I'll do that tomorrow.

Good morning lovely people.
Heidi - Gil's illness has not only spread to you but across the Pacific - I've been nauseous for 3 days now. Thought it was over-indulgence but not now. Looks like my New Year celebrations will be cancelled in favour of a cup of weak tea, a lie down, and a play on the pooter when I can muster the energy.

At least I'm not as sick as IH was/is. My food is only escaping from one end. I think I'll be OK by tomorrow. Plus, I asked him if he'd taken any tylenol recently and he said that he did. I never touch the stuff.

Suzy - best wishes to Ally tonight - she will do well, I'm sure.
MizT - I just can't beieve the Tylenol recall!!! I'm not usually in favour of litigation but the discomfort you have suffered over the past months unnecessarily needs to be addressed!
Well - people, I'm now exhausted and off for a little nap - Ciao!
