Hi all. Just a quick stop in to say hello.
I have not read easy but I completely disagree with HalT. That was definitely a miracle that saved the minors.
Suzy, please post a picture of your new haircut. I think it sounds great. For me, that would not be a pick me up. I am so ant-girly. I have never enjoyed haircuts etc, I tolerate them. The longest I have gone between haircuts is 2.5 years. That is the second time I donated my hair. It has been 14 months since then and I am thinking of making another donation.
Drive up here was good. Only about 3.5 hours. We are going to a water park tomorrow and then meeting one of hubby's friends for dinner. Saturday will be the busy day. Will share details then.

I haven't let anyone touch my hair in 35 years.... not since some "friends" decided that I'd look better with short hair and took horse shears to my head.... against my wishes. Anything done since I've done myself.

Hi, Everyone! We have had another long day - got some errands done and spent several hours at the acupuncturist. I can't really put my finger on how all of the hours disappeared, though we did watch a couple of hours of television. Anyhow, I'm posting without reading and am now about 5 pages behind.
Sending my thoughts, prayers, positive vibes and {{{{HUGS}}}} to all of you. Maybe tomorrow I can find time to read and post! Good Night, All!

My young niece has the following as her fb status today. You may remember me talking about her. She is the one who lost who mother to multiple organ failure resulting from alcoholism...
Somethings things don't work out and you have to let it go, no matter how much you hate it, even though a part of you is stuck in the past.

Suzy, she sounds as if she is a wise young woman/girl. Dwelling on the past doesn't help at all. No one ever really forgets the past but living is about the future.

I rang Broni before to remind her to pack her thermal undies... warned her that they have predicted snow in the hills around Melbourne over the weekend... Mt Macedon and the Dandenongs... where is it you say you live Gail??? She was suitably impressed AND she hadn't even started packing at that stage... ha ha...

Wait a minute...... Gail gets snow there, AND has wild cockatoos? This is too much for my brain right after I wake up. I didn't know that cockatoos could live in climates that got that cold.
BRONI...... PACK!!!

Jogger charged for running nude
Saturday, October 16, 2010 » 02:34am
A jogger in Florida has been charged with public indecency after running down a street wearing only swimming goggles.
A policeman followed the 18-year-old in his car, telling him to stop.
When he didn't the officer stunned him with a taser.
On his way to hospital, he reportedly explained to the police that he had super powers.

Viv, I saw the story about the jogger on the news last night. I am on the outskirts of Orlando. Crazy things are always happening in Florida. Friend just called and is on his way. We will be leaving hotel shortly.
Broni, have a great time on your trip. Can't wait to hear all the juicy details. Remember, don't do anything I wouldn't do and you already know my reputation as a trouble maker

Good morning all - it seems wild weather is the norm for the Aussie east coast - our rain came back yesterday accompanied by wild wild winds. - Sunny again this morning but the wind is still strong, blowing things around and worrying the dog. It's cool but not freezing like down south. Where is spring??
BTW - Heidi, the cockatoos are up here - plenty of them around. Not sure that they are necessarily migratory birds though. I'd say the cockatoos at Cockatoo had adapted to Victorian weather - 4 seasons in a day.

Good Evening, Fellow Sudokuaholics! Alhough I'm getting here after 11 p.m., I'm going to try to read a few pages of comments.
Hi, Heidi, Theresa, Suzy, Suzanne, MizTricia, Rolanda, Tami, Gail (all on page 390)!
Wow, interesting page to read. We went from food with preservatives - to the jailer in Kentucky - to Rolanda's sloshing of a load of darks - to Tami's coffeemaker, which has a timer like Theresa's - to miners being rescued in Chile - to roasting chestnuts - to bullying - to rain falling in Alabama (finally).
I hope Suzanne got to Park City and got some pictures!
Hopefully Mitchell's first marriage worked out. (Yes, I know it was role playing and budgeting for Junior Achievement.)

Midnight has come - and gone. I'm now reading page 392.
Hi, Suzy, Gail, Heidi, CynB, Victoria, Broni, Tami, Theresa, Nola, and Rolanda!
Cyn, I can imagine you were shocked to hear the women talking about their time in jail. It's a different life they lead.
Victoria, I hope all goes well at work while the boss is away. How lucky that you were able to reach him before he left the country to get the first problem worked out!
Nola, good luck on the exams! I know you'll do well!
I think we were all emotional about the rescue of the miners! They have been through so much! I wish them all well!
I am so sorry, but I'm going to need to call it a night. I'm falling asleep at the keyboard. Sending lots of {{{{HUGS}}}}, positive vibes and prayers for everyone to share! Hope to see everyone tomorrow!
