I know it's not TipTap, but I am thinking of her flying free into the sunset.
So very sorry Suzy, TipTap has been there many times when you and I have chatted.

Well, I'm going through another bout of sleeplessness. I've been under the weather a bit, but I've been reading the posts with my coffee every morning.

It's cold here ... time to dig out the winter clothing.

FIL's birthday dinner/belated Thanksgiving dinner went well. There were 11 of us at the table. Turkey with all the trimmings. Oh, yum! I brought snacks, made a veggie platter, and made a chocolate cake since the grandies don't like pumpkin pie. I still feel full just thinking about it.

Hi all.
Suzy, sorry to hear about Tip Tap. I hope things work out with Ebob. I am also required to report any suspected abuse.
Theresa, your dinner sounds wonderful. I do not eat pumpkin pie either so your chocolate cake sounds perfect.
Gail, that was nice of you to lend Broni you car. It sounds like both of you are having a great time visiting.
Don't remember what else I have read so I am going to leave for a little while. I will try to stop back in before school.

Congrats on having the washer there and woring properly, Heidi. Nothing like fresh clean bath towels, and a good test of the machine, too, nice and heavy.

SUZY, what happened to Tip Tap? So sorry to hear the sad news.

Morning Tami, a bit late, but yes, I will take a cip of coffee, mine has worn off already hehehe.

I LOVE PUMPKIN PIE! Any left over Theresa? I also need to get out my fall/winter clothes, just have not had the energy the few days I have been home lately. I had a few things still in the closet and chest, so I am just doing a lot of washing and re-wearing.

Well, time to get back with doing stuff, not what I want to do, I am more inclined to recline, in my chair or the nearest bed. I just cannot get rested today.

Hugs to all with extras.

I love pumpkin pie, too, but I'm baking a blueberry pie right now. We're having beef stroganoff and acorn squash tonight, and pumpkin pie would be too much.

Reading on the news about the murder/sex assaults/home invasions committed by Colonel Russell Williams (Canadian). The pictures on the Yahoo site are graphic. This is one sick son of a ..... He has pleaded guilty and is not eligible for parole for at least 25 years. I don't think he should ever be eligible for parole. He murdered someone under his command and then sent a letter of condolence to her family!!! What a total waste of skin.

A quick good morning. What a day was yesterday. Lost at bowls in the morning. Remembered to wish Hubby Happy anniversary sometime late afternoon. Friend was having Chemo, this will continue till January but the prognosis is looking better than a few months back. Picked up Laura from day care and she stayed the night (is still asleep). Then found out MIL is in hospital. She has told them all she has lived too long (96) and then found out another friend who has just had a lump removed with breast cancer (my age). I think I need to be back sailing the high seas without a care in the world! My three weeks away is catching up with a bang!

Morning all
June, I don't think you're supposed to cop 3 months worth of stress in 3 days after a holiday! I'm so sorry about your MIL and friend. Hugs to all of you!

Theresa, I read a short article about that guy a little while ago. It didn't have a lot of detail but I remember thinking he must have been a real psychopath to pull of the double life thing so well.

Heidi, that makes sense then. We have had him somewhere between 5 and 8 years.

I drove some kids to St Johns last night even though I don't have to go there anymore. (I think I've already told you that story) and Ebob surprised me by coming up to the car to tell me she'd cried for half an hour when hubby told her.

Tom Bosley (Happy Days) died. I'm starting to feel so old.

This is a link to the news story I mentioned. There was a slide show also with actual pictures of him in ladies' underwear (that he stole from random breakins). Yuck!

June, take care of yourself. I'm glad your friend's prognosis is better. Wish I could twitch my nose and send you back to the cruise ship. Of course if I could do that, I'd send all of us there.

Theresa, even worse than I thought! At least he had the decency to not put everyoone through a trial. I don't think he'll live to get out, but I agree about the sentence in that he'll always have hope that one day he will.

He can never be trusted if he's ever released. I frequently believe that Hammurabi had it right. An eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth. I sure don't believe that taxpayers should be supporting him in relative comfort for the rest of his life.

I've been loafing around and need to get back to work. IH's cousin Don and his wife Barb (the ones who had their home burgled) will be here for supper in an hour. So far, the pie is ready. I need to put the squash in the oven now, and start preparing the chestnuts to roast. I won't cook all of them, just 3 per person, in case we don't like them. The others can be planted if I don't like the flavor. Chestnuts are a fabulous shade and lumber tree. These are from some of the blight resistant stock that has just recently been made available to the public. Pure American Chestnuts, not the asian crosses.

Here I sit, when I should be in the K room flinging food. Oh well, I have some chicken left over from yesterday, just need veg, might be some of those in fridge. I did not finish sorting the fridge this morning, need to do the shelf with the little square plastic containers. I am sure some are no longer dinner worthy! I just have not had the time to keep up, and when I am home I am tired from all the says I was not home. Looks like i get another day off tomorrow, yeah.

OK, OK, I am going, dinner time in one hour, so I need to get moving.
Hugs with extras, take what you need.

Good maEn everyone! RIP Tip Tap. Today would have been my Uncle Tony's 75th birthday. He passed away 11/19/1988. I miss him a lot. I will call my Aunt Sandra back in a few minutes (she was just sitting down to dinner when I called her). He was a very funny, sweet, loving uncle and I spent a lot of summers with them in California.

Howdy, Virtual Neighbors!

Hi, Suzy, CynB, Gail, Theresa, Tami the T, Heidi, Brenda, MizTricia, June, and Suzanne!

Suzy, so sorry to hear about TipTap, as if you don't already have enough to deal with! {{{{HUGS}}}} I was going to say "enough on your plate," but didn't want anyone to misunderstand.

Theresa, I hope you will soon be feeling "fit as a fiddle" and will be able to sleep better! I'm glad the dinner for Thanksgiving/your FIL's birthday went well!

Hooray, Heidi's new washing machine arrived and got right to work!

Tami, it's OK that you don't like pumpkin pie - it just means more for those of us who do. MizT and Heidi, may I join you?

Theresa, I am shocked as well that someone as despicable as that "man" could be eligible for parole in 25 years! How awful for the family/families of the victim/victims! (I haven't heard about the case, so don't know the particulars.)

Oh, my, June, you sure have jumped back into the routine with both feet! First of all, Happy Anniversary to you and hubby! Sending tons of prayers, positive vibes and {{{{HUGS}}}} for your friend and you as the chemo progresses! It's wonderful news to hear that the prognosis is better! All the best for your MIL! Yes, 96 is certainly a full life! (My MIL would have turned 96 this month if she had survived last springs difficulties.) Also sending positive vibes, prayers and {{{HUGS}}} for your friend who has just received her diagnosis! Hang in there and remember to take care of yourself, too! (What's a game of bowls with all of the other stuff?)

Suzy, I was wondering how Ebob would react to the news about TipTap. Too bad it's not enough to bring her home.

Suzanne, just think how lucky you were to be so close to your Uncle Tony and Aunt Sandra! How nice of you to think of him on his birthday!

It's dinner flinging time here. (We had a late lunch.) I'll be back later.

Glad to see eaa here!! Wish I was here to chat, but dinner beckoned.
I WAS very close to my Uncle Tony. I am the oldest niece (his sister Barbara has 2 girls, Dana, (a couple of years younger than me) and Dara (about the same age as my brother.
Tony was a VERY great person...He always treated me as he would a daughter (he & Sandra could not have children--LONG STORY!!) Sandra & I agreed I should have been her daughter. We have VERY similar ideas & thoughts about a lot of things. We have also battled our weight for years (something my mom doesn't understand & has never had to deal with).
I called Sandra tonite & we chatted for a bit. She is putting her townhouse up for sale in Fort Lauderdale. She's looking at places near my parents (she's my mum's sister).
We're waiting till after Thanksgiving (mid-November or so) to put our house up for sale. We're going to Washington State the week of Thanksgiving to see Darrell's family. His brother Glen's birthday is 11/24. That's all from this neck of the woods. Take care, Love & Hugs to all. TTFN. nitey nite!
