June, glad to hear of your friend's progress.

We have bought shelving at Ikea. We also bought under the bed storage boxes, which we use as litter boxes. For the number of cats we have (all rescues), the ordinary litter boxes are just too small. I too find it a very confusing store - it's like you have to take a tour of the store to find what you want, and then go to the warehouse part to pick it up. My daughter has bought kids' furniture there, including a bunk bed.

Basically, what I was asking was-Do you notice anything different about me tonight?
I am posting to you from a different room! Hubby came up with a brainwave that filled me with horror, but yet again, he was right (though I am loathe to admit it!).
He decided to move the rooms around, and take the puters out of the engine room for summer, it becomes a sweat-box in there! We are now in the small part of the 'L' shape in the lounge room.

I thought you looked different, Gail! lol

Gail, I had the same problem tonight with the internet. I find it very slow from about 5pm.
Hope you find it much cooler when you are on the computer from now on.

Good morning all. It is an almost perfect Sunday morning. I am still in my pj's and boys are all out. I am having my morning cup, a couple of really good chocolate cookies and visiting my favorite friends (by pooter at least). Almost 3 hours of peace. I did all the important ffuts yesterday, just have to throw some things in the sloshy thing and then hot spinny thing. That is not a big deal. The weather is beautiful. Temps in the 60's (17-19 c) and the windows are open.

I went to the Croc's warehouse sale yesterday. I thought is was just this weekend but it is every weekend in November. They will be moving around. They are going to Colorado and Canada, not sure where else. I will go back in a few weeks, the boys each saw a pair they want so I will buy when I have money. I will take them to pick them out but it will be a Chanukah gift. They are getting hard to buy for and since the Croc's are not returnable, I want to make sure they fit. Might even buy myself my first pair.

Every body must have a busy life today. I don't see any of my friends on line

The perfect morning is ending. Have to get dressed and pick up the beastie boys.

I had another bad night, and didn't get to sleep until around 5 am. This despite taking something to put me to sleep. I had pain and cramps shooting up and down my left arm.
IH went to his apartment last night instead of coming home, and didn't tell me. What a surprise.

I'm delighted that Bean got to Broni's safe and sound. I wish I was there.

Heidi, did you overdo it on lifting something? Take care of yourself.

No, I haven't been doing any lifting. The arm is still hurting a little, too.

We load out the calves in less than 2 hours. We're keeping back one that a friend asked to buy, and putting him in with the steer we're finishing for our freezer.

Thirty two calves were shipped out. We kept 2 here. One is a young purebred bull that I hope to sell in March. The other is a big heifer that a friend of IH wants to buy for beef.

We went to a park today and took a 1 mile nature hike. It was a beautiful day, but didn't see many animals. Spiders and butterflies were all we saw.

Oh, yeah.... 6 of the heifers will be coming back here in the beginning of January. They're heifers that I'm keeping as breeders. We're paying someone to feed the calves up to slaughter weight. He'll also put some size on my replacement heifers. He only lives about 6 miles away so I can keep an eye on them.

My neighbor's daughter came over for candy again today. She got down on the floor nose to nose with Rachel. The picture is on my page, with her mom's permission.

Haven't been able to get on the computer today.
Richard's surprise party went really well on Saturday, but there was an extra surprise which I didn't know about. My brother and his wife from Canada turned up! Daughter's knew about it but were told not to let on. They stayed in a hotel Saturday night, staying with us tonight and are off to Cornwall for three nights. The final 4 nights will be with us. My other brother, who lives near me, and his wife came over for dinner today so it has been very busy.

Cute Brenda, how wonderful for you. Always funny when the surpriser become a surprisee! Did Richard have any inkling of what was planned?

I think I scared all my friends away.

No, not scared away, just in conversation with IH. He has to leave at 4 am for a flight to California. He is developing a chest cold after his drive without the heater, and now the passenger window on his truck is broken in the open position. It's not safe to leave it at the airport. So I'll be driving him to the airport at 4 am, and picking him up Wednesday afternoon. I'm such a nice person. So I'm off to bed in a few minutes.

Good maeN everyone!!!! It's about 9:30 pm here, Darrell watching CSI Miami before going to work. I went to bed late last night (time change) and got up at 6:15...Tired today, didn't do much around the house. Have gninaelc to do tomorrow.
