Cyn, it sounds like a terrific send off for Percy. Good thoughts going out to you and your family.
Suzy, good luck on Monday. Don't let the kids get to you. Don't let Ebob get to you. She is still at the age where she thinks parents are completely stupid. It sounds like she is going to have to learn the hard way.
Heidi, have fun today. I also like chili but don't make it very often. Maybe you can share a good recipe with me? Just please leave the beans out, my hubby and older kid won't eat them.

I'm sorry if I'm repeating myself, but I can't find my post so I'm assuming it is lost.
Pride rehearasl tonight was more like a Carol's rehearsal with a bunch of extras. That was fun to watch. Afterwards Pride rehearsed a bunch of non Christmas stuff for the other gigs they have coming up. I wish I could show you the video I took of them rehearsing Bad Romance. I don't think they'd agree that it is ready for public consumption yet though. I love it!
I had to leave before they were finished though becuause I got a bad headache. Pills taken and bed soon to follow..
Thoughts and wishes to one and all tonight, especially Al, I hope the removal of his feeding tube makes the pain go away...

TGIF for us here. My daughter and I are having a girls' night in tonight. The grandies are going to their other grandmother for the evening, and we are having pizza and a movie. Don't know which movie, but we both like scary movies. It's a PD or PA day, whatever you want to call it, for the grandies so it should be an interesting but busy day.

quick check in fore I leave this morning. I had 9 hours sleep last night, with the help of some meds, but 3 full nights sleep in a row has done wonders for me.
I forgot to tell the most important thing about AL, too busy being angry at a doc. His chemo doc said they do want to continue with the induction chemo, forgot to find out when. I asked if she noticed his voice improving, and she said she sure did. Mentioned that AL said it felt smaller to him. she said IT IS SMALLER, I could tell that when I looked in his throat. Chemo is working!!! Can we all say Hip Hip Hooray!!!

It was a beautiful day today, high of 11C. I saw a few motorcycles and some of the "hot" cars were out again. As far as I know now, tomorrow is supposed to be the same. I guess this is our Indian summer. People walking around in T-shirts .....

Good afternoon, fellow Sudokuaholics! Yes, I actually have made it here before dark, which is coming SO much early with our time change back to standard time.
Hi, CynB, Theresa, Gail, June, Tami, Suzy, MizTricia, Heidi, and Nola!
Cyn, the Requiem Mass and wake for your siter-in-law's father sounds wonderful and well attended! What a tribute! RIP Percy Lyall OAM!
Theresa, I hope you were able to get back to sleep after your arthritis awakened you!
June, good luck to Laura in her competition! I hope you were able to rest well after a busy day!
Suzy, I'm glad to hear that you're taking care of yourself! The Pride rehearsal sounds wonderful - too bad you had to leave before they had finished.
Heidi, I hope the chili-making went well!
Tami, we also like chili here, especially on a cold winter day. We had "white chili" with chicken at D's house one day last week. It was good, but I forgot to get the recipe!
Speaking of D, she just found out she has mono. With a full time job and little ones, I suggested that she might not want to do too much for the upcoming holidays and take care of herself. She told me that it was important for the holidays to be normal, and she had no intention of cutting back. I fully understand - and took the same approach when we had little ones - and was always sick over the holidays from trying to do too much.
Theresa, I hope you and your D have a wonderful child-free, adult-only girls' night tonight! Enjoy!
MizT, what WONDERFUL news! That is SO much better than I had hoped for! Now if the feeding tube removal makes him more comfortable, that will be even better! {{{{{HUGS}}}}} for Al and you! WOOT! Hurray! (I'm also glad you have had several nights of good sleeping!)
Great news, Heidi! Enjoy your new patio and sidewalk! I hope you will have some warm days so you can eat some meals at your picnic table!
Perhaps I should fling food, so I'm going to have to love you and leave you for now. {{{{{HUGS}}}}} for everyone!

I'm supposed to be having a quiet day since Sunday and MOnday will be so hectic, so I'm making little Christmas Stockings for Family Services, if I don't lose my oomph I'm going to make some book bags too.

Don't forget to send it to me too, Suzy.
Just got back from my daughter's place. We had pizza and watched a British movie called 13 Hours, not as scary as I thought it was going to be. And we also got into some of the leftover Halloween goodies, but please don't tell.
I will be going back to my daughter's when the girls get home so I can get them to bed. Why do I feel ready for bed now though? I have no idea why the arthritis is acting up. I haven't overdone anything and the weather is beautiful. I think maybe I need to get a softer mattress, I have a really firm one now.
Gail, I will try to make it to your place for dinner next Sunday. I will go to great lengths for a free meal that someone else cooks ;)

Hey, everyone, veggies and dessert are fine with me! I don't like chicken or any poultry, but I would never expect anyone to alter their menu for me or cook something especially for me - I would be totally embarrassed.
Anyway - dinner with you lot - who cares what we eat, it's the company!!
