My pooter has been down since my last post this afternoon. Our phone company is replacing all the phone, internet and TV lines in the county. They've spent the last 3 days crossing our fields. Despite the various utility companies, and me, pointing out the locations of all the buried water, electrical and phone lines, they've managed to accidentally cut through every one, some repeatedly. We keep losing one utility after another. At least I haven't been bothered with lots of phone calls. I hate telephones.

Tomorrow is the day of our chili supper. It's also the last day of Indian Summer. The weather forecast is calling for a big drop in temps starting Sunday.

Heidi, here your phone company would be getting huge fines. We have dial-vefore-you-dig law that they would have violated multiple times.

They ARE dialing before they dig. The various utility companies are marking where their lines are. Approximately. But some of the lines are 10+ feet from where the markings are.

Hi everyone.
Very windy here today and still is.
Having back and knee trouble here and went back to bed at 11am this morning.
Only just got up about 5.30pm for a bit of tea.
I have been very very busy with the Avon.
No doubt this has contributed to my knee and back problems.
I logged in orders for $5,500.
I was so disappointed though when I received my online invoice to find that they can only supply $3,600 of it.
I went ballistic at my team leader and my District Service Manager.
I even dropped the F word a few times.
It is happening all over australia but how are you supposed to run a business when they cannot even supply.
After all a lot of this is christmas sales too you would think they would have ordered plenty of stock.
NOT HAPPY JAN !!!!

He has been very naughty and gone back to smoking.
Son and hubby still driving me mental here, nothing changes there.

Another busy day and Sharon and Laura have just gone home. The Physi competition was great with children form all over NSW taking part.We were very proud because she did her best. It was team competition (teams of 8) and they were in the 5 and 6 years. Laura turned 5 in August and the cut off is 1 September so she would have been one of the youngest participating. It was held in a venue at Olympic Park so it was all quite impressive. After listening to the same three tunes from 9am till noon we all hoped we would not have to hear them again.
It was amazing to realised that little grand daughter is very quickly growing up!
Sharon and Laura then came back here for the rest of the afternoon.

What wonderful news Tricia. I just hope they soon get rid of all the infection and Al is back home with you.
Prayers for your friends mother Susanne. I hope she soon recovers.
Thinking of Cyn and Heidi who have lost a family memeber and friend.
I would also like to join Gail for that chicken dinner. Hope you can buy a big chook!
Enjoy the concert tomorrow Suzy and good luck with the teaching on Monday. Think of the pay check! It will be handy for Christmas.

Good morning all. It was not a good night's sleep, but better than nothing. I went outside earlier (around 4:30 AM) and just looked at the stars and crescent moon. If there's one thing I've learned from this site, it's to take time to appreciate the little things in life.

Just waiting for the coffee to finish dripping through. The oldest grandie had trouble sleeping last night and I didn't get home until after 11:00 PM. But we chatted and giggled in bed.

Hugs to everyone, whether you need them or not.

Suzy - I got the email.
Gail - yep, pav sounds good!
June - it wasn't me that lost a family member, it was my brother's FIL (but I have known, liked and respected him for over 40 years).

Viv - that is not good that Avon can't supply all of the order - especially not good for new customers! Tell John he's naughty - but speaking from experience it is so very difficult to do. Sorry those men in your house are acting up. Tell them to pull their heads in (as my Dad used to say)!

Hi all.
Viv, that is a wonderful order you placed. It s**ks that they did not order enough to fill it. I agree. This time of year they should have planned ahead.
Hope all is well with everyone else. Mom and dad are on their way over and we are going to run a few errands. A new grocery store opened near me and we are going to check it out. It is supposed to have low prices.

Sorry Cyn, I should have checked back and said extended family.
I start getting in a panic at this time of the year. So much to do and I feel I am running out of time. Hubby says'don't worry' and then goes off to work or the bowling club. No help at all! back to bed and try not to think about it.

Syzy, hubby is already complaining of no taste, and wanting his taste buds back. No way he could do the diet, liver is the one food he will not eat. Wonder how they liquify the chicken???

VIV, get better soon, back problems are no fun.

I am home a bit this morning cleaning, ooops naughty word, sorry. they are talking about letting Al come home on 2 weeks IV antibiotics. I got the room he will use cleaned and disinfected today. Cleaned his chairside table of 4 years of JUNK, just pot it in a box and he can sort it later or not. If he does not need any of it in 6 months, I will toss it!!

I am off to the hospital again, hope to see some of his docs today but no telling when they will arrive, it being weekend.

Hugs to all and sorry i could not comment on each post. I read a few and enjoyed peeking into your lives today.

Morning all,
MizT, I not only wondered how you would liquefy chicken, but how you could eat it afterwards. It sounds disgusting!

I managed to puree some weird things when I had my jaw wired shut, but never was tempted to try meat.

MizT, now that they have the source of the infection isolated and hopefully Al is now out of pain, it might be nice to have him home, though if he's on an IV you probably won't get to sit any more than you are now while he's in hospital.

Tami, I hope the new grocery store is good.
