Heidi, sorry to hear that you are still sick and won't make the N.A.I.L.E. Sounds like another Dr's visit is needed.

Morning all. Attack of the Zombies here. Hubby tried an overnighter again last night, I slept, he didn't! Tea and toast and see what we get achieved today, then he will crash later and have a rather large nana nap.

Heidi, you need to find out what is causing this ongoing nausea. We will all nag until you do.
Taking MIL out to lunch today. First time since her stay in hospital. She is reluctant to leave the house but she does need to start getting out.

Good morning all - was hoping to catch Suzy but I slept in and she didn't get the chance to call in. Hope her concert was great and today as well.
Good vibes to Al and pleased to hear things aren't too bad for June's friend.

A giant Happy 9th Birthday to our Emily today! We had a party for her yesterday but she has to go to school today. Tonight, instead of coming to us for dinner, she is going out to dinner with her errant Mum and sisters. (I am pleased her Mum bothered!)

After Emily's party yesterday, we came home, had an hour's rest and then went to Madeline's Ballet/Tap Recital. I am so pleased that she is getting older and better because it's a long amateur program (3 hours) - at least Maddie was in about 6 of the 20 odd items offered. What we do for our grandies, they'll never know!!

Cyn, I have had to attend a few of those recitals for one of my nieces. They are definitely too long, but we have to go.

Tami - especially when they're small amateur productions!! Maddie's not bad but I don't think she'll be a Prima Ballerina either - she's not dedicated enough!
On behalf of Em, thanks Broni! Oh, BTW, Col had to be at Cleveland Ferry Terminal for the 6am ferry to Stradbroke Island this morning to deliver a patio or something and he's booked to come back on the 10am one. Nice day for it!

Hello, All! Just popping in without reading. My nephew was in a single-car roll-over accident early this morning. He is in a neurological ICU in a regional hospital - still don't know if he was taken by ambulance or air-lifted. He lost part of his scalp, has bleeding on the brain and has been restrained, as he's apparently combative. Please include him in your prayers! Thank you so much!

Just got home about half an hour ago. The day passed pleasantly, but I am sore. When we got home my MIL called to say she just found out one of her sisters who lives out west had a massive heart attack and is currently in a coma. My MIL is one of 15 or 16 kids, I forget.

I got another update from MizTricia's sister.......
Went down to the hospital to visit with Al & Tricia today. Both look rested. It's been quiet there over the weekend. No tests or anything. Al says he's doing OK. Still have trouble with the stomach, but that's to be expected. Chemo causes the whole digestive system to be irritated. He says the stomach tube isn't hurting as much either. They're still giving him IV antibiotics & albuterol treatments for his lungs, but he says the lungs are find. He hasn't had fever in 2-4 days?? Sorry Tricia and I have both lost track of the days. I guess the doctors will get their heads together when they're all back at work tomorrow.
Al looks a whole lot different. He's shaved his beard and head. Tricia says he got tired of the hair falling out in clumps & being all over his bed. I meant to take a camera so I could post a picture of him for all of you, but forgot. Just immagine a cross between Mr. McGoo and Elmer Fudd. (just kidding). He keeps his cap on even in bed, but he did that even before being bald. He says it keeps the overhead light out of his eyes. Also makes it harder for anyone to tell whether he's napping or not. ;) Of course, right now, napping is good. Tricia says he usually takes a morning nap, another in the afternoon, and sometimes one after dinner. He's still weak, I'm sure, so those naps will help him recover. Also, just being on such strong antibiotics is enough to make him tired, not to mention the horrible infection he's had, and the chemo. He's a tough character, and has no intention of letting the cancer beat him. He told the oncologist that he could take whatever she dished out, just as long as it killed the cancer.

Hello, Everyone! It's been a crazy long day!
Hi, Gail, Theresa, June, V Viv, Tami the T, Heidi, Nola, Broni and CynB!
Theresa, I hope you felt better after your nap and had a good and safe trip to your inlaws/outlaws! Hopefully the ride in the car didn't cause additional discomfort! Also hoping for you to have a good night's sleep tonight!
OMG, June! Thank you for sharing! What wonderful news that your friend's chemo has been going well and the tumors are showing some shrinking! {{{HUGS}}} to her and to you! It's probably helpful that she has put on a bit of weight. I hope the chemo continues to go well (prayers and positive vibes being sent) and that your friend will be able to do some celebrating!
Viv, I hope things are going much better today for you! Thinking positive thoughts and sending {{{HUGS}}} for you as well!
Tami, it's a good plan to go back to the supermarket when it is less crowded and you can take the time to really see what they have and decide which good prices to take advantage of!
Suzy, I hope you had a wonderful day teaching today!
Bean, thinking of you and your brother and sending positive vibes, prayers and {{{HUGS}}} to you both!
MizT, hopefully Al is feeling better with the feeding tube out. Sending positive vibes, prayers and {{{HUGS}}}} to both of you!
Heidi, I'm so sorry you are having so much difficulty sleeping! I hope you will soon feel much better and be able to sleep! {{{HUGS}}}
Nola, I hope your prac goes well! I guess that means you were able to find a placement!
Gail, so sorry your hubby had an all-nighter! Hope he was able to get a nap today!
Heidi, I hope you also had a nap today!
June, I hope you and your MIL had a nice lunch out today! You're right in encouraging her to get out!
Happy Birthday
to Cyn's Emily! I hope she has a wonderful day and a yummy big cake
and presents, too!
Theresa, sending prayers for your MIL's sister. I hope she can get excellent medical care!
Heidi, thank you SO much for being a contact person for MizT's sister. It helps so much to get those updates! I'm glad to hear that Al is a tough character!
A HUGE thank you to everyone for including my nephew Roger in your prayers. The doctor told my sister that the first 72 hours are critical, though at least right now he appears to have sensation in his lower extremities. They hope the blood build-up in his brain will re-absorb and reduce the pressure, which they are monitoring. They've asked those staying with him to be alert for difficulty remembering words or loss of language. We're crossing our fingers and praying that his tough Marine training will help now! My sis is staying overnight. She lives just over 2 hours from us, and the hospital is nearly midway between her house and our house. We told her that if she wants company overnight, just let us know. After 4 or 5 late nights in a row, she's just hoping to get some uninterrupted sleep tonight.
Sending positi

AFternoon all,
Firstly hugs, thoughts, wishes and as many SA vibes as this tired body can muster for Julie's nephew and Theresa's AIL. Gail said it well!!
I am exhausted! The show was good and I did okay today, though Year 9 was feral and Year 7 started out bad. Year 10 were a little distracted and not terribly motivated becuase they have finished their exams and really don't want to be there. They all did their work though, including the extra work.
The Umbilical brothers opened for Robin Williams - their dream gig they said. They were incredible, heckling the audience etc. They made fun of the people with seats a long way from the stage and told them to buy their tickets earlier next time. They then used their sound effects thing to have a very large person from the audience apparently come down and start beating them up. They then used progressively bigger imaginary guns to try to blow him up in his seat. They even had a tank which ran over a couple of cats.
Robin was his usual irreverent self. There were a bunch of jokes about bodily functions, his political jokes, he showed that he had done some research on our politics etc, he flew Qantas and commented that it had landed with all 4 engines, he talked about vi@gra mixed with heart surgery and how they are not ocmpatible. Some Darwin jokes - if Darwin had landed in Ausralia he would have said 'I"m wrong'. Some design by committee jokes - the platypus plus male and female bits of humans....

Hi everyone!
I'm just popping in and out again.
Hugs and loving thoughts to Al, Julie's nephew, George's mum, Theresa's hubbys Aunt and June's friend.
Emily. Enjoy your 9th birthday!
Suzy, now that you are home plese take it easy and have a rest.
We celebrated Shaun's 23rd birthday yesterday. My baby is growing up. We went out for breakfast and then I took him shopping for a new mattress. We found a Queen size that suits him and he is very happy with it. His girl and I then took him out for dinner. I think he enjoyed his day.

Sorry CynB, forgot to wish Emily a very Happy Birthday. Julie's post knocked the thought out of my brain. Very easy to do.
Had a lovely lunch and then drove around a very wet Lane Cove national Park. It has been a very wet day with about 1 inch of rain..
