Suzy, Be afraid, be very afraid. I know it is going to be hard to reason with Ebob right now, but maybe you can talk to her and tell her it does not seem right that a 26 year old is interested in a 17 year old.

Gekko, Fellow SA9Aers!
Hi, June, Suzy, Broni, Theresa, Tami, Heidi, Nola and eaa (page 549)!
June, what wonderful news that some new fluff is growing for your friend! That must be a relief!
Suzy, thumbs up for Alie! So glad she had a great singing day - even if she forgot a word or two. (It happens to the best of them.)
June, you are amazing! With all you have going on in your life, you found time to meet with Glenn's daughter to welcome her and introduce her to the best shops! Imagine the peace of mind you have given Glenn! What a thoughtful thing to do! Thank you!
Tami, I hope the "Saturday Camp" went well! Has your school found that it helps the students when they take the test in April?
Theresa, even though your daughter doesn't need to self-donate another unit of blood, she should continue to eat iron-rich foods, if possible. Some of the suburbs in our area have a "nurses' lending closet" (the name varies) that has supplies like walkers, bath tub seats, raised toilet seats, etc. that you can borrow. When my MIL moved into assisted living after rehab from a hip replacement, they gave us a list of nearby communities and or organizations that provided such a service. If she's pretty sure that she will only need an item for a relatively short time, it might reduce the amount of equipment that will need to be bought. In the meantime, was her MIL thinking ahead when she applied for work at a medical supply firm? If so, what a great idea! Keeping fingers crossed that you can find part-time work with good hours, if that will help out! Wish there were something I could do to help! Well, sending positive thoughts and prayers!
Theresa, a room that makes chocolate or a chocolate room is a brilliant idea!
Heidi, I imagine the new lovebirds are settling into their new home! Can't wait to see pictures!
Hi, Nola! How are your assignments coming along? You're doing great to still be smoke-free! Good for you! Keep up the good work.
My nephew has found a way to quit smoking that I hope none of you ever copies. This is the nephew who was in the horrible roll-over car crash in November who broke at least one cervical vertebra, etc. He had quit smoking 2 days before the accident, but was still craving cigarettes. He had amnesia for a week or so after the crash and now no longer is interested in smoking. I have seen an X-ray of his head after they had to open his skull to relieve the pressure. OMG! I thought they were just going to drill a hole. I envisioned it being no more than an inch. Well, it looks like at least 4 holes were drilled and they played "connect the dots" between them, opening up an area probably at least 7 or 8 square inches (about fist-size or larger).
Now, a request for prayers. He went back for a CAT scan of his neck last week. There has been no healing. The doctor knows he has been wearing the cervical collar religiously, so asked if he smokes. When told that he had quit 2 days be

Gosh, I haven't done this for a while! My post was too long. Here's the rest:
When told that he had quit 2 days before the accident, the doctor said, "Not soon enough." Apparently, smoking causes some bone loss. Anyway, my nephew is scheduled for surgery on Wednesday to fuse or encase the vertebra. Apparently there has been some shifting of the adjacent vertebrae and they won't know until they get in how much needs to be done. Any prayers will be appreciated.
June, it's interesting that you say working with/making chocolate can cause you to dislike it. I've heard the same about baked goods. When my siblings and I were younger, we delivered newspapers in our hometown. I used to love climbing the stairs to the apartments above a bakery; it smelled heavenly. But I was told that they tired of it after a while.
Heidi, I hope the lasagna dinner tonight was yummy! Haven't had lasagna in too long, I think. It sounds wonderful!
eaa, your witty sayings are always appreciated!
I have obviously missed something recently. Suzy, what is FPR? I have seen it a few times, but haven't figured out exactly what it means.

Hi, Heidi, eaa, Suzy, Tami, Theresa and Suzanne!
Great TOPP, Heidi!
eaa, your comments are well appreciated, as usual! While I really enjoyed the viagra comment, I think the best is the last one, which deserves repeating. "Life is short. Don't waste time, energy, and love on those who don't deserve it. Instead give extra time, energy and love to those who deserve it."
Suzy, your question about the 29-year-old man hanging around 17-year-olds sent a shiver up (and down) my spine. It's one thing for him to be a friend, but he doesn't need to hang around. Have you or your hubby talked to him? Are there any classes at school that might address how unhealthy such a situation could be? (I'm just thinking that 17-year-olds don't always "hear" what their parents try to tell them. Or maybe some other trusted adult could discuss with her that someone his age should have more age-appropriate friends and interests? I hope you can keep her busy with school, softball and work - and hopefully keep her away from him! Sending positive thoughts and {{{{HUGS}}}} your way!
Good Night, Heidi! Good Night, Theresa!

Just got rid of the kids, they all came for Sunday lunch. Love them as I do, it is so peaceful when they leave! Son and gf brought my grand-doggy Robbie with them today, he was so well behaved...but we haven't seen any of the cats all afternoon!
We decided to change our gathering to once a month Sunday lunch, it suits them all better as they work next day, and it suits us because it means they go and it's still daylight!
Today we had Roast Lamb (poor man's meat according to D#1, little does she know the price!), plus a Roast Chook for those who don't really like lamb, but everyone had a little of each. All the veggies served with dinner were from our garden
and very nice they were too. We had stuffed zucchinis (got too big on the vine), roast potatoes (Nicola and Desiree), baby carrots and roast parsnip.

Went to Belinda's today and took Leah (Glenn's daughter) with us. She got to ride a horse, saw wild kangaroos, some sight seeing etc so I think she enjoyed her day. Laura was there working with her horse (she is going in a show next weekend). Laura asked if Leah could "come up again as I like having her around!"
I had another fall today. Going down a slippery (damp leaves) to the creek at Belinda's. Feel OK but gave me a bit of a jolt!

Suzy, tell her that if she doesn't stop it, you are going to curse her. "May you grow up to be just like your mother and have a child just like you." That might work. Tell her that it is an ancient Jewish curse and blame me if you want. I don't think she can find me

Suzy, you can use that back lots of times. Every time she wanted something done you can tell you "forgot as I only have a memory that lasts 3 seconds" (I do not believe that about gold fish as mine know me rather than other people and when I feed them.)
