To any of my friends here who are also on FB - I have just shared a link to the Grace Centre for Children in Ethiopia. This is where our friends collected their adopted son nearly 2 years ago. Such an inspiring place!
Little Daniel is such a wonderful happy little boy, adapting easily to life in Oz - the apple of his parents eye, loves his Uncle Colin, high fives anyone within range. The only down side is that they are moving to Tasmania as soon as they sell up here. We will miss him and won't get to see his progress as closely.

Gekko all,
Hubby has taken over the hospital shift - soft tissue damage, wrap and boot and she'll be home.

I found out that our guest isn't allowed to live with her father and her mother doesn't want her. My imagination is running riot now and I want to beat her mother about the head. I will restrain myself as I don't know the whole story, but just barely!

Congrats on 555 eaa

Any news Broni?

Suzy, hope Alie is OK.How long was the hospital wait?
No trouble with the horses tonight, although they were all looking for some bread as I generally bribe them to go back out into the main paddock.
I have no intention of going near the creek where all the slippery leaves are!
I cannot find a spell checker on Belinda's computer so I will have to read before I hit submit!!

Cyn, pleased you are feeling a bit better. I will skype you when I get back home.
Suzy, I do go to FB occasionally to check up on a few people. Sharon has fixed my Emails so that I do not get bombarded with all the farm rubbish.

I forgot who is having the party but I will bring brownies. I can make them adult friendly if you like. It is amazing what a shot of rum or Kahlua can do to brownies.

Morning all - slept late so I had to boot it to get to my daughter's. I desperately need another coffee.

Someone was asking about my daughter's surgery, her stay in hospital. She will be in the hospital for 5 days. That's quite a long stay considering that hospitals like to get you out the door as quickly as possible. I will be practically living at her place during that time, pulling my hair out, weeping and wailing.

Off to get a coffee and do the puzzles. Have a great day everybody.

Just finished making my D's lunch. Lighly toast slices of bread, put a cheese slice on each one, and top with pieces of pre-cooked bacon. Put under broiler -- but watch carefully, does not take long and will easily burn. She loves it!!!

That should be "lightly" toast. I wanted to make something quick and simple as my head is really aching at the back. I didn't wake up with a headache this morning, but it's definitely here now. If you have bacon already cooked, this takes a total time, prep and cooking, of about 5 minutes.

Roof trusses have all been replaced, the waterproof membrane is on the roof, though still no tiles, and the new ceiling is in the process of being done. It has been boarded and will be plastered soon.

This session with the horse shoer went a lot easier than the last time. Sadie didn't turn into the "horse from h*ll", and Buddy's abscesses were healed. But my back is killing me. I need to sit down more often when I'm out in the barn.

I've made those open top broiled cheese sandwiches nearly all my life, but it never occurred to me to put pre-cooked bacon on them. Pure genius!

Heidi, I was strong and I didn't eat. I'm not supposed to have bacon. Mind you, the rare time we go out for breakfast I do have bacon or sausage. It was difficult to cook the bacon ahead of time and not sample any of it. I LOVE BACON.

I've been waiting for someone to take 22200, but unless someone posts while I do this, I guess i'll take it.

I want to send hugs out to all the friends who are in my computer. I hope life improves for us all.
